Sad Update About Mikayla Norris

 

As a sad update for the missing persons case of Mikayla Norris, remains found in Kansas City, Missouri have been confirmed to be Mikayla. The person of interest, Kareem D. McCoy-Lee, was found in Liberty, Missouri, dead of an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone! Today gives us sunlight for the shortest amount of time all year. Our ancestors were very grateful for more light each day, and celebrated the solstices and the equinoxes.

Jerry Moran And Ajit Pai

At a town hall meeting in late November, I asked Senator Jerry Moran, (R-Kansas) about his position on Net Neutrality, and if he was, at all, concerned about Ajit Pai's influence over the Federal Communications Commission after he formerly represented Verizon. Mr. Moran responded with a blank look and a short dissertation on the life and hard times of Ajit Pai, who graduated from high school in Hayes, Kansas. He then described Pai as a "good friend" of his. When I asked him if he thought it might be a mistake to allow an industry to assume control over the use of a public utility, he gave me a blank stare. He then admitted that he did not know very much about the matter. Don't get your representatives at Kmart, folks, and Jerry.....you should choose your friends with more foresight!

Mikayla Norris Missing From Overland Park, Kansas

Eighteen year old Mikayla Norris was last seen on Sunday night,at around 8:30 PM, in Overland Park, Kansas. She did not return home from work. Her car is a black, four door, 2007 Toyota Camry, and the Kansas tag number is 566 FSB. As a twist to this situation, her car was spotted in Gladstone, Missouri, driven by the person in both photos to the right. Below is a picture of a black 2007 Toyota Camry, for reference. Anyone with information is asked to call the police in Overland Park, Kansas at 913-344-8721.

A Christian Myth Dispelled

Ted Crockett, a spokesman for the failed Roy Moore campaign for the Senate in Alabama, seriously thought that Muslims and others who are not Christians could not serve as elected officials in the United States government because they do not always use bibles for their swearing in ceremonies! Where did he get that idea? From Roy Moore, of course! It is a misconception, and Jake Tapper dispelled it in an interview, shortly before the election. Since Doug Jones (D) won, it is moot. Roy Moore can now go home, and build a wall of bibles around his house. He probably will not bother to read one though.

Sydney Loofe Was Found

Sadly, Sidney Loofe, who went missing in the middle of November, was found deceased in Clay County, Nebraska. Two suspects, Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell, have been charged in her murder. Because they led investigators on a multi-state chase, they are both being held on federal charges. Both are also charged in a federal case involving theft of merchandise over $5,000 from an antique dealer in Hiawatha, Kansas and transporting it to Beatrice, Nebraska. It's very sad that Sidney ever made the acquaintance of either of these two suspects. Mocking Christian Values

The notorious lech, Roy Moore, senate candidate of Alabama, has challenged Jimmy Kimmel, comedian most often seen on ABC, to a "duel" to defend Christian values! (you blogger is laughing, really hard, right now) It seems that Kimmel's refusal to embrace, not only teenage girls, but the culture of older men embracing teenage girls, has spiritually offended Roy Moore...in a very, very Christian way!

A heckler from the Jimmy Kimmel show appeared at a Roy Moore rally, and later on, when Moore realized he had been heckled, he issued the challenge to Kimmel. Kimmel has offered visit Alabama and take Moore up on all this. It should be very interesting, but Christians probably will not change their minds about abuse and sexual misconduct. For centuries, Christianity has been the biggest shield for sex offenders and child abusers, offering them everything from amnesty when caught to assistance when blaming the victims. We all know whose side Jesus is on: the abuser's side. Every time.



And in other news, the State of Nebraska actually convicted and sentenced a man for sexually abusing a ten year old girl in an Lincoln, Nebraska church.
