Message For A Northeast Kansas Youth Pastor
Hey, Northeast Kansas Youth Pastor; you know that young man you and your congregation have been praying for? The one who got into an automobile accident and suffered some severe injuries? Well, despite your church's and his family's efforts to float the rumor that this driver was not drunk, the sheriff of the county where the accident occurred got a warrant for his lab results and blood tests from that night. Guess what? He was drunk. I'm pretty sure you and all of you "prayer warriors" know that, though. All of you really think that there is actually a "god" in the sky who thinks it is okay for members of your church to commit crimes, don't you?
I have another question for you. If "God" actually zaps this young man into a speedy and complete recovery, as all of you have so fervently and repetitiously requested, have you considered that at the moment his health allows him to answer for his actions on the night of the car wreck, there will be a warrant issued for his arrest in the State of Kansas? You should probably "counsel" this boy's insane and hypocritical parents to retain legal counsel for him, so that if and when "God" strikes him healthy again, he will be represented in court. Because, contrary to what all of you think, we are all equal to certain forces here on Earth.
Unless, of course, getting "healed" and living as a fugitive are Christian lifestyle thingies. Geesh. Just remind the family that the bible advises to be honest and non-fraudulent, and that the young man involved in the accident should be accountable for what he did.

Mabon Blessings
Today is the Autumnal Equinox, known in Pagan circles as Mabon. It is referenced as the "second harvest", Lammas being the first, and Samhain, or Halloween, being the third and final. As an equinox, it is a solar holiday, while Lammas is lunar. This makes it a Sabbat, which, to those who observe the Sabbats, means that rituals are practiced that are all about balance, personal balance, collective balance, and global balance. It is what we all work toward.
Mabon is the Thanksgiving of our European ancestors. Rather than focusing on trade, which was done at carnival, we spend time with family. After the holiday, this is still a very busy time of year. Everything must be harvested by the third harvest.
Have a wonderful Mabon, all. Blessed Be!

Religious Freedom And Business As Usual
What's all this pomp and circumstance about Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act? It's all nothing special, just a renewed opportunity for the good, christian people of America, the Midwest in particular, to act with hatred and disdain for their neighbors. After all, what better of a way can there be to make a person whose ethnic background, language, religion, sexual orientation, or perceived disability feel badly about himself than to wait until he orders a pizza, books a wedding, requests medical care, or enrolls in school, than to begin the transaction or service, only to suddenly cease, pulling the rug out from under him, with the announcement that fulfillment of the contract or delivery of the service would, in the case of said client or customer, be abhorrant to God, and therefore not feasible, in any way. If a child is disappointed to the extent of tears, or on the verge of a dangerously high fever, so much the better. Harm to an unbeliever is an enormously effective manner of making the point that "we do not serve your kind in our establishmment", isn't it, dear christians?
Well, you know something, Jesus Freaks? The Satanic Temple of Detroit has an answer for you; it's called Discrimination Transparency. In order for the non-christian world to determine, at a glance, which establishments are in business to make money, rather than to make others unhappy, a petition has been circulated and signed, and will be presented to the representatives of the involved locales, to request that a rider be written into the RFRA laws, requiring businesses which choose to discriminate to warn the population at large, so as to avoid humiliating the targets of christian hate and wasting their time in fruitless endeavors. Anyone who will not serve a member of an ethnic group Jesus does not like will be required to warn everyone by placing a sign on the door or somewhere visible from outside the establishment, stating the discriminatory intentions. The same will go for any business intending to marginalize customers and clients who attend the "wrong" church, speak a language that is unfamiliar, or are sexually oriented in ways that are useless in basic, old fashioned, christian adultery. People who do not wish to patronize bigots will be able to make educated choices about where to spend their money.
A prototype of the required sign has also been graciously provided, as well. It is pictured below.

Disclaimer: It is understood by the writer that not all christians interpret religious and spiritual teachings as inclusive of hatred and bigotry. This post is only meant to describe those who have wrongly concluded that the world revolves around only themselves and their ilk.

Important Reason Why Christian God Does Not Belong Anywhere
"You are the type that doesn't really give two shits about the flag, thinks God doesn't belong....ANYWHERE, and is in love with those wonderful goverment handouts!"
That's a snippet from some words shared with me a couple of years ago by a Melissa Kennedy, teacher at the public school in Frankfort, Kansas. She wanted to continue her meaningless dialogue about her religion with children in public school, and I wanted all proselytizing to stop. The ACLU got involved, and the school grudgingly conceded to obey federal law. The reference to government assistance refers to a time when I took my husband, a veteran, to the VA when he got sick. It seems Melissa Kennedy does not like veterans.
There are several reasons why god, in terms of christianity, does not belong anywhere, but here is a serious one that has been downplayed by the media here in Kansas. A Reverend Bugbee (the name is interesting for a child molestation suspect) was arrested on November 19 for commercial exploitation of a child and for sexual exploitation of a child. Washington Christian Church, in Washington, Kansas, mostly looks innocent from the outside, looking in; but a pastor there apparently spreads his faith....and his seed.... in ways that violate the law. Horny Christian clergy often have trouble taking no for an answer in situations that involve sex, but should not involve sex; so it seems to me that Church and State have no business mixing in public schools, where christianity practiced as Bugbee has been accused of practicing it can be a problem in many ways. Once again, this is not the only reason god does not belong anywhere, but an important one.
Reverend Jim Bugbee. Proof, once again, that god does not belong anywhere. Especially when children are involved.

In Case You Missed Church This Sunday
How very interesting. A pastor in Beebe, Arkansas got a permit to open his church, and then is told to close it because his god is not the god of his alderman, whose help the church has sought. As long as the city thought the church would be Christian, no one had a problem, but the minute the city discovered the church is Pagan, the unlawful discrimination and bigotry as usual started. The battle cry is that the church is not "zoned properly". But then, the church was "zoned properly" for Christianity....just not for any other religion. That's okay; now that the story has aired on KARK, there may be assistance from other Pagans who can help Beebe in it's quest for the Old Religion.
As for the alderman's "god" being the same as a Pagan god or goddess, of course it isn't.

White Man Yellow
Here's one of the reasons I don't care much for Christianity. Historically, the murder of adherents to religions that have been collectively labeled "Witchcraft" by zealous and hypocritical Christians has been accepted, and encouraged. Even in the advent of laws changing, so as to allow injunctions against murder to include lethal violence against victims other than White Christians, the laws are often selectively applied in order to continue to marginalize certain minorities.
Last month, a New York man named Carlos Alberto Amerillo beat his girlfriend and her daughter to death with a hammer, then called the police to let them know he had "assassinated two witches". He actually met law enforcement with a bible in hand. No real problem there, just two witches dead. He'll pay the price in the judicial system, but get rewarded in heaven by jesus, right?
Amerillo is probably mentally ill, but there are churches who actually teach their congregations to believe that there is a god who conveniently does not value the life of any person who is not associated in some type of conformity to the christian religion. Mix that type of intolerance with mental illness, and violence is often the result.
As a result of Amerillo's violent attempts to please god, a seven year old girl, the grandchild of his deceased girlfriend, is now an orphan.

If You Slept Through Church This Sunday
If you slept through church this Sunday, remember God is watching you! You might end up on Santa's "naughty" list if you fail to pay attention to what your own scriptures actually say!
If it's not who you are, drop the act, Frankfort, Kansas. The rest of the world can see right through you! Happy Holidays!
