Dylann Roof Found Guilty

Dylann Roof, the twenty-two year old monster who shot nine people at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, was found guilty today. He stated that he chose the South Carolina church and the people at the bible study because he wanted to commit a crime against black people, and he thought that people in church wouldn't fight back. His rhetoric on Facebook also sounds a lot like Donald Trump's rhetoric, during his campaign for president.

The pastor of the church, Clementa Pinckney, was killed in the incident. Reverend Pinckney was also a United States senator, representing South Carolina. What is not known is why Governor Sam Brownback, of Kansas, did not order the flags at half staff, following Clementa Pinckney's death, as he did for John Glenn, Antonin Scalia, and the victims of the Paris terrorist attack in November of 2015.

Kansas Won't Follow Court Order

Surprise, surprise......actually; not so much. Kansas has been in contempt of court since February of this year concerning an order to recalculate the budget for all the public schools in the state. Last week, the Supreme Court gave the Kansas legislature until June 30 to comply, or public schools would not be allowed to open this fall for the 2016-2017 school year. Instead of following the court's order, Governor Brownback, (R) determined that the legislative session should end as scheduled, despite the fact that their job is not done. If a private person reacted this way, it would be contempt of court.

Kansas River On Endangered List

According to American Rivers, the Kansas River is now endangered because of sand and gravel dredging. Sand and gravel dredging not only causes erosion and muddies the water, but it also pulls up old industrial pollutants, that have settled to the bottom, disperses them into the rest of the water, making drinking water unsafe in nearby communities. The Army Corps of Engineers is planning to expand it's sand and gravel shenanigans, anyway.

The Kansas River is the largest tributary of the Missouri River, and has been on the endangered list several times in the past. In 1995, it was on the list because of agricultural pollution and sand dredging; in 1998, agricultural pollution and municipal pollution, and in 2002, pollution and the removal of the Clean Water Act.

What does all this mean to Kansas Governor, Sam Brownback? Only the shadow knows! One thing is certain, though; if the Kansas River does not get more protection, Browncrack will not be able to hold any public baptisms there!
