Black Lives Matter And Walmart

Chuck Canterbury, the president of the Fraternal Order of Police, recently wrote a letter to Walmart, whining because their website sold T-shirts stamped with the words, "Black Lives Matter". This, he complained, offends police officers. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? Walmart caved, and took the shirts and sweatshirts that have the slogan, along with the word "Bulletproof" off of their website. But merchandise stamped with the slogan "Blue Lives Matter" is still for sale on Walmart's website.

Walmart is a retail giant, and is apparently rich enough to take a loss on any merchandise it will not be able to sell online, now that the police's little feelings have been hurt. Walmart has just told the world that while policemen matter to them, minorities, especially the Black community, are not terribly important. Chuck Canterbury stated that he feels that the sale of clothing bearing the words, Black Lives Matter, is divisive to communities, but he fails to mention the division caused by the inordinate number of deaths of minority civilians at the hands of police officers.

Anyone who wants a shirt that says Black Lives Matter can purchase one here. The less we patronize racist retail giants, the better for everyone, in many ways.

Amber Alert In Antioch Saves A Child

Here's a story about a creep who noticed a mom with a seven year old girl at a Walmart in Antioch, California. He tried to grab the little girl at Walmart, but was unsuccessful, so he followed the girl and her mom home. At that point, he did successfully grab the little girl, and an Amber Alert was issued. What isn't being clearly stated is what he told the little girl in order to gain her cooperation, and what he told the mom in order to threaten and intimidate. He told the little girl that he was from Child Protective Services, and told the mom he had authority to take her child because he was a social worker! Unfortunately, real social workers and cops often pull similar stunts on vulnerable victims who do not know their rights, and this is why the creep chose to pose as one. While the mom most likely was not convinced, all it takes, for a stranger abduction, is a moment's distraction on the part of a child who has not been taught to question authority. If someone claiming to work with Child Protective Services tells you they are taking your child anywhere; please, please, make them get a warrant. Don't ever let anyone into your home just because they either are a government official wanting to conduct a rampage of your property, or claim to be a government official wanting to conduct a rampage of your property. The Fourth Amendment guarantees you the right privacy in your own home. Use it, and teach your children to question authority and not to talk to strangers.

David Allen Douglas is now in custody, thanks to a young lady who didn't mind following the car that matched the description in the Amber Alert, and calling the cops when it parked. The little girl was found safe.

Kidnapping Gone Wrong

Never turn your back on your baby while in public. Here is a story about a mom in Midwest City, Oklahoma, whose child was sitting in a shopping cart while she shopped in Walmart. It only took a minute for a loony toon to grab her daughter, hold a knife to the child's throat, and start making unreasonable demands involving phone calls to a Texas police station!

At about 3:12 in this video, you can see how easily the man simply removes the child from the shopping cart. Had he decided to keep on going, and leave the store with her, instead of ranting about fanatical Christian dogma, this situation could have ended much differently, and not in a good way.

Obama Believes In Paying Walmart Employees Enough To Live

This is one of the reasons I voted for President Obama. A job at a place like Walmart is no guarantee of health insurance, enough money for food to feed one's family, or enough money for a babysitter, should a worker's supervisor refuse to adjust the worker's schedule to accomodate caring for children. Every underpaid worker represents support that is required from government programs that should be available from wages through employment. In the cases of many Walmart employees, it isn't. Like it or not, Republicans, America's population is large enough to require a certain amount of government and socialization.

Black Friday Fun

A big reason, as far as I'm concerned, to stay home on Black Friday. After seeing this, I'm tempted to forgo shopping completely this holiday season and make cookies and home made jam to give to everyone on my gift list.

Jessica Ridgeway Still Missing

An OMG moment, here.......the other day, someone in New England called in a tip in connection to this case, involving a missing Colorado ten year old girl named Jessica Ridgeway. Over two thousand miles away, in Maine, someone heard about the case and remembered that she had seen a blue station wagon with Colorado plates and a child resembling Jessica riding in it. She called it in as a tip, and guess what.......in New Hampshire, a recently abanadoned blue station wagon with Colorado plates was recovered behind a Walmart! No joke. Still, amid rumors and misinformation, closed highways, and unanswered questions, Jessica has not been found.

The tip about the blue station wagon may prove most helpful to law enforcement. Anyone who notices something that stands out in a missing persons case should speak up.

Missouri Republican Thinks Trauma Is A Form Of Birth Control

Republicans keep getting more and more inane all the time. This just in: Todd Akin, R-Missouri, thinks that it is not ever necessary for a pregnant woman to undergo a dilation and cutterage, except possibly in the case of rape, but since he feels that the trauma of what he has termed a "legitimate rape" (what the hell would that be, Akin?) is some sort of a barrier against either ovulation or fertilization, (he wasn't clear about this) such a procedure should not be available at all. So....according to Akin, an unfertilized egg "knows" which haploid cells belong to someone whose company the mother sought, as opposed to someone who forced himself on the mother, and will therefore not allow themselves to become fertilized by the sperm of someone the mother does not like. That's very interesting; also NOT what they were teaching back in the dark ages, when I took bio 101. Geesh. I am waiting for someone to fact check Akin with stats from the Amercian Journal Of Obstetrics And Gynecology, which estimates that the percentage of rape induced pregnancies of women between the ages of twelve and forty-five is about five percent. So much for fear and terror being a reliable form of contraception. I suppose he would explain incest resulting in pregnancy, or the rapes of female prisoners of war, as "not really rape", as long as the victims became pregnant! While it is insulting enough to have a man tell all American women that sexual assualt is not really sexual assualt if it results in pregnancy, ( I can just hear defense attorneys using this as a defense...."it couldn't possibly have been rape, your honor....she got pregnant!") is this creep thinking about rewriting the laws concerning sex crimes? Don't get your representatives at Walmart.

Don't Get Your Jesus At Walmart

Geesh! Some people in South Carolina think they have a picture of Jesus on a Walmart receipt. And this actually made the headlines...........! When I read stuff like this, I become even more grateful that my Dad taught me that religion is really the opiate of the masses more than it is anything else. Seriously, read this.

How come everyone thinks they know what Jesus looked like, anyway, if he really existed? I see a lot of pictures, supposedly of Jesus, in midwestern Methodist churches featuring a man with light brown hair, blue eyes, and very Caucasion features. If Jesus really existed, he probably never saw a pair of blue eyes, (possibly green, but not blue) and probably had an olive to very dark complexion and black hair. It's quite likely that he resembled Osama Bin Laden more than the imaginary entity of the the "Jesus" pictures. But Christians in South Carolina, and probably everywhere in the United States, likely do not agree with me. Here's a quote from the article: "The couple said the image seemed to answer a question they had just been asked at church.

"We had a message on knowing God, abiding in him," Sutherland said. "(The preacher asked) 'If you know God, would you recognize him if you saw him?'"

What a question! If the real Jesus reappeared, he probably wouldn't be able to board a plane or open a bank account because some good Christian would think he's a terrorist, and his name was really "Yeshua", not Jesus. His surname would be Middle Eastern, and sound very scary to the Republican Party.  He'd oppose war, and oppose all of the greedy goals so many politicians have right now.......would any American Christians recognize him, and once they did, would they want thim around? I kinda don't think so.

Here's a popular picture of what lots of people in Kansas, and the surrounding states think Jesus looked like. They also think god is a white old man with a flowing white beard, too. And they probably think that white old man is gonna zap yours truly for publishing this! Hahahahahahaha! Believe me when I tell you this isn't what any Middle Eastern man looked like at the time Jesus allegedly existed!

Oh...........I almost forgot...........here's a question for Christians, if any care to answer me; isn't there a commandment regarding "graven images"? Would that include walmart receipts?
