Bigoted New Hampshire Cop Finally Resigns

Richard Copeland, the New Hampshire police commissioner of this post, finally resigned. His desk is cleaned out, his locker is emptied, and his white sheets with eye-holes are back at his house. That's a very good thing, because Wolfeboro, New Hampshire can do a lot better than a rude, vocal bigot for a police commissioner.

The remaining question some of us have is whether or not there are any other police officers who encourage violence for reasons of bigotry in American small towns and cities.

New Hampshire Cop Hates Watching Obama On TV

Sometimes, as Shakespeare's Hamlet pined, it seems that "life is just one, long sigh." Wolfeboro New Hampshire, host of one of Mitt Romney's many abodes, is also host of a police commissioner by the name of Robert Copeland. Officer Copeland hates watching TV these days, because every time he turns on his TV, he sees that "f*cking n*gg*r", meaning President Obama. When he made this statement, he was eating in a restaurant, and speaking loudly enough be overheard by one of his constituents.

What a jerk. Not only does Copeland abuse the trust placed in him and his position by the public by downgrading part of the population, he sets a terrible example and uses language that would generate detentions and suspensions if used by children at school. It also sounds as though he might not protect and serve a constituent who happens to be African American.

Copeland refuses to resign, even though many people in Wolfeboro have requested the same. Sadly, New Hampshire is not the only state hosting ignorant racists. Pictured below is a Facebook post made by an uneducated Kansas man, calling for violence against a woman half his size. It appears that his reasons for hate are largely centered upon her religion. One of the persons who hit "like" is Tim Ackerman, the undersheriff in Marshall County, Kansas. Laura McNish, the county attorney, does not see a problem with law enforcement granting permission in such a manner to commit assault and battery for reasons of religious and cultural hate. She probably approves of the occasional racist act, as well.

Another "liker" for this post is a public school teacher in a small public school. Don't these people realize the responsibility that accompanies public office and teaching?

Strangers Allowed On School Propery

Here we go again with adult strangers who think they belong in public schools, with no job descriptions including presence in schools, and no children enrolled. This time, someone in New Hampshire dressed as Santa Claus, circled the school on foot, banged on the windows, and was then buzzed in by an adult! But when no one recognized him, and no one was able to determine his identity because of the costume, he fled! Police are not concerned about the incident.

The Santa impersonator in New Hampshire eventually told law enforcement that he was merely trying to "spread holiday cheer". Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? Not only is there usually at least one child in every class of very young students who knows that Santa isn't real and assumes the unassigned duty of informing all classmates of the same; but it seems that an adult who is up to no good and wishes to defy any attempt at identification by witnesses after committing a crime could scarcely choose a better disguise!

Jessica Ridgeway Still Missing

An OMG moment, here.......the other day, someone in New England called in a tip in connection to this case, involving a missing Colorado ten year old girl named Jessica Ridgeway. Over two thousand miles away, in Maine, someone heard about the case and remembered that she had seen a blue station wagon with Colorado plates and a child resembling Jessica riding in it. She called it in as a tip, and guess what.......in New Hampshire, a recently abanadoned blue station wagon with Colorado plates was recovered behind a Walmart! No joke. Still, amid rumors and misinformation, closed highways, and unanswered questions, Jessica has not been found.

The tip about the blue station wagon may prove most helpful to law enforcement. Anyone who notices something that stands out in a missing persons case should speak up.

Julianne McCrery Settles In To Her New Home

Today, Julianne McCrery, of New Hampshire, but formerly of Texas, was sentenced to forty-five years for the murder of her son, six year old Camden Hughes. What a farce. There are homeless people, there are schools that need teachers and other employees, there are hungry people and people whose lives have been affected by disasters.....but New Hampshire has decided that Julianne McCrery can live, free of charge, supported by the taxpayors after she premeditated and carried out the murder of her son! It's really a shame she didn't commit murder in Texas, instead of New Hampshire.

Update On Julianne McCrery's Lameass Move To New Hampshire

Yep.........Julianne McCrery is in the news again. Looks as if she just permanantly moved to New Hampshire. And well she might; New Hampshire is easy on crime. After premeditating the murder of her son, Camden, suffocating him, and telling New Hampshire authorities all about it, they decided to go extra soft on her and accept her guilty plea of second degree murder. Not first degree murder, which is what preditated murder is called, but second degree murder. Ya know folks, this is lame, really lame. I can't think of another word for it at the moment. And it's not only "sign my cast, I have a broken foot" lame......it's "move over, I weigh six hundred pounds and have to be lifted with a crane" lame! Why do New Hampshire authorities feel sorry for her??

She cried about how she was about to commit suicide. She needed to go to New Hampshire or Maine, so she could get CASTOR BEANS (????) to do it. Castor Beans, Julianne? Really? What's wrong with just using a 9mm in Texas? Goddess knows.....you can get a gun in Texas if you just try. It's faster, easier, and prolly leaves less of a mess. You could also have gone somewhere, ALL BY YOURSELF, and accomplished your ungrateful deed WITHOUT involving your son. Oh....I know.....you weren't really distraught enough to kill yourself and you knew Texas would hang you from the tallest tree in the state if you murdered your child there, didn't you? No, Julianne, I don't think it was all about castor beans. In fact, Susan Morrell, the State's Attorney for the case had this to say:

"But Morrell also told Rockingham Superior Court Judge Tina Nadeau that investigators believe, after speaking with acquaintances of McCrery in Texas, that she felt "inconvenienced" by having Camden in her life and that she intended to return to Texas without the boy."

Anyone remember a case featuring a defendant named Susan Smith, from South Carolina? If I recall correctly, her big problem in life, after becoming the mother of two innocent boys, was romance, and the time it takes. She was inconvenienced by her children. It's always all about that new boyfriend, isn't it?  I think the Associated Press got it right with this statement:

"A lawyer who represented her at a brief court appearance in Massachusetts has said he got the impression from McCrery that her intent was to take her son's life and then kill herself. But Morrell said text messages to a new boyfriend in Texas that McCrery sent from the Chelmsford rest area implied she thought otherwise."

Julianne McCrery Pleads Guilty To Second Degree Murder

New Hampshire must be an amazing state if you are an overwhelmed parent who wants to kill your child. Julianne McCrery, the mother of Camden Pierce Hughes, who was killed at age six because his mother was completely nuts and allowed to roam free, just pleaded guilty to second degree murder on September 27. She apparently murdered little Camden in a hotel room, in New Hampshire, by suffocating him, then drove him to Maine, where she dumped him. The thing is; she lived in Texas. She had to drive all the way from Texas to pull off this murder, which was smart of her, because in Texas, she'd be on death row by now. This, in my world, amounts to premeditation. Premeditation amounts to first degree murder, not second degree murder. But New Hampshire has a general attitude of sympathy toward "overwhelmed" horribly loony people who kill children, see the case of Celina Cass, and didn't really care about a six year old that much. So now, New Hampshire will be housing this woman and paying for her psychiatric care for fortyfive years or so, depending on her sentence, and she'll probably never think about Camden again.

Here she is, the woman who carefully chose a state that is easy on crime when she decided it must be time to kill her son. Perhaps the good people of New Hampshire will take a good hard look at this and decide to start pressuring their legislators to stop enabling people who abuse and murder children. If I called New Hampshire home, I would be truly offended by a woman who had gone to the trouble to choose my state, and then travel there, over a thousand miles, to murder a child and get away with it. Nothing can bring Camden back, but I would not want my tax dollars supporting this woman indefinately.

Casey Anthony And The Court Of Public Opinion

In May, I posted about Camden Hughes, who was found in Maine, just outside of New Hampshire, deceased. I was horrified to learn that his mother had not only murdered him, but had actually planned the whole thing, travelling from Texas, where she would have gotton the death penalty for first degree murder, which it WAS, to crime tolerant New Hampshire, where people feel sorry for mommies who didn't realize that when we bring children into this world, we don't get to BE children anymore. Someone left a comment under that post that said "Poop". So........everyone wants to hang Casey Anthony, but it's truly fine to let Julianne McCreery get away with murder? The link to my post is http://siriunsun.blogspot.com/2011/05/second-degree-murder-children-and-new.html

So why do I get such an ignorant, negative response at the prospect of holding accountable a murderer against whom the people have EVIDENCE? Not only is there legally gotton statements from Camden Hughes's mother, there are witnesses to where she went with him, and there is camara footage. She was a danger to her child, and would be a danger to others. Why isn't it ok to want her locked up for the rest of her life? But someone thought they should comment "poop" under my post.

Then, there is the famous Casey Anthony. As we all know, by this time, she was aquitted of first degree murder. Before anyone judges me for what I am about to say, please know that I think she is guilty. I am not sure how little Caylee died, and that one, unclear point was probably a big problem for the jury, but I think Casey knows exactly how it happened and lied about it. It was up to the state of Florida to bring an airtight case against her and get her out of circulation for the rest of her life. They failed. Lack of evidence. But; does anyone really want a defendant in our courts to be guilty before proven innocent? I don't. We have enough problems with our justice system, from the way suspects are profiled, often wrongly, to the way evidence is mishandled and sometimes ignored. We don't need to undermine one of the biggest benefits we have in our criminal justice system.

One of the problems we have in the way justice is administered is that if a defendant presents as lower middle class to poor, the police will often assume that no one who matters will care about the person. They will also assume that the person is uneducated and untravled. They, and often prosecuting attorneys, will badger the defendant, throwing lies and circumstantial evidence in the defendant's face, swearing up and down that they KNOW a judge and jury will take the lies and circumstantial evidence seriously. That's how a lot of pleas are copped to crimes that the defendant didn't really commit, or that the defendant did not commit alone. Thus, justice does not actually get served. Casey lied, at times even pulling truly silly lies out of her ass, but didn't play the game the way most young and undereducated Florida defendants play it when law enforcement intimidates them. But the prosecution, in it's arrogance, went ahead and went to trial with a weak and circumstantial case. Now, because they thought they could get away with not doing thier jobs, a very dangerous person is free. Nice going, Florida. Even worse than New Hampshire.

Then, there is Carlos Rico, who dropped his four year old son off on the side of the road near Lubbock, Texas last week. He had choked the boy, and dumped him, thinking he was dead. But surprise! He wasn't dead! He got back up after daddy dearest thought he killed him and continued to live! But Texas went out and got daddy dearest, and charged him with attempted first degree murder. They have the vicitim's testimony, and forensic evidence. If this goes to court, I am reasonably sure they will get a guilty verdict. I really have to appreciate the message they send here: "If you wanna commit a crime, especially one against a child, don't do it in Texas". That's why Julianne McCreery went to New Hampshire.

Julianne McCrery: Is New Hampshire Going To Be Easy On Crime?

I finally got around to looking at coverage of Camden Pierce Hughes's funeral this morning, and came across a comment made his grandmother, encouraging the world not to judge her daughter, and stating that she hopes her daughter "gets the help she needs". I guess I really can't blame her for saying that...........but gee, is it too little, too late? Camden had been identified as gifted and talented, already, and he was only in Kindergarten. His mother made an arbitrary decision that the world will never know how far he could have gone or how much good he could have done. All because she "needed help". Yeah. The help this woman needed was for social services to intervene at an earlier date, and I'm sure there were problems that got overlooked or "explained", or "excused", somehow. If a parent is obviously a loony toon, and incapable of taking responsibility, why on earth do we overlook this? And why do certain women define themselves by having children they can't accomodate in their loony, toony lives, anyway? No child deserves the kind of parenting that Camden got in the last few minutes of his life.

If Julianne McCrery had suddenly "needed help" in Texas, instead New Hampshire, she'd probably have already talked to a shrink by this time, but there would have been a stronger focus on Camden, and on his rights, not on the violent "thing" who took his life because she "needs help". And, as I stated in an earlier post, I have trouble with her "need" for "help", anyway, because she had enough of a thought process going in her selfish little mind to disappear from Texas and take her criminal parenting skills to a state that happens to be easy on crime to pull her stunt. I resent the fact that taxpayors will probably support this woman for the rest of her selfish, little life. I would be much happier if my taxes could pay for Camden's education, instead.

So.........New Hampshire.........what's going to be more important here? Julianne McCrery's "mental health issues"? Or the crime that was committed against Camden?

Second Degree Murder, Children, and New Hampshire

When did traveling across state lines with one's child and the intention to kill one's child coupled with the act of actually doing the same become second degree murder, instead of first degree murder? Now that I have become somewhat accustomed to the shock of hearing about poor Camden Pierce Hughes every time I listen to national news, I find myself wanting an answer to that question. Here's an article describing the charges.

This mother, Julianne McCreary, left Texas, where killing a child can and will elicit the death penalty, and drove until she found a state with gentle police officers and a judicial system that is easy on crime. I fully believe that she very deliberately took her victim away from home in order to avoid the Texas courts, I fully believe that she was planning murder the entire time, and I also fully believe that New Hampshire could convict her on first degree murder if they tried.

Julianne McCreary keeps saying she wants to die, and be "in heaven" with her son. I must raise the bs flag on that............if she wanted to "die and be in heaven", we would have found her lying beside her son. She does not want to die. "Heaven" is probably an imaginary land where grownups do not have responsibility, as far as she's concerned, and that is where she really wants to go. I guess she's there........we call it jail. As for her phony tears, I do not feel the slightest bit sorry for  her. While there is no doubt in my mind that this woman is mentally ill, I really think that she knew exactly what she was doing when she killed her son, and I think she premeditated it............so why second degree murder? Why not first degree murder? New Hampshire.........any comments?
