More About The Kyron Horman Case

On June 4, it will be seven years since Kyron Horman disappeared from his Portland, Oregon school during a science fair. He was seven years old. There has seemingly been no trace of him during that time, and the only clues have been the behaviors, threats, and comments made by his some time step parent, Terri Moulton Horman, who, since her divorce from Kyron's father, now uses her maiden name, Moulton. She also lives in California, and uses the address of a relative there, while actually residing in other places around the state, mostly in the Sacramento area.

One of the reasons Terri Moulton is divorced from Kyron's father is that she allegedly attempted to convince another person to murder her husband. This came to light several weeks after Kyron went missing. She was never charged with the crime, and police were much more interested in finding Kyron at the time, but Kaine, Kyron's father, still was spooked enough to get a restraining order against her and begin divorce proceedings. Something else that has come to light during the past several months, in addition to Moulton's enhancement of her criminal record in California, is that in 1990, she allegedly attempted to have someone she was dating murdered! A laptop computer that once belonged to Moulton has also been seized. At this writing, law enforcement has not released many details, except to say that the investigation has recently included these things.

Update On Adam Herrman

Here is an age progression of Adam Herrman, the Kansas boy who was taken from his family by the state of Kansas because of minor problems experienced by his family and fostered and adopted in Butler County, Kansas by Doug and Valerie Herrman, who "lost" him in 1999, and never reported him missing. Kansas even continued to send stipends to the Herrmans for Adam for awhile. The court, unlike Child Protective Services, had a problem justifying that, though; so the money stopped and the Herrmans each spent a small amount of time in prison. The photo above is how he might look today, if he is still alive.

Dr. Phil Will Discuss The Kyron Horman Case

 

On Tuesday, September 17, Dr. Phil will cover the Kyron Horman case on his show. Kyron Horman has been missing since June 4, 2010, when he disappeared during a science fair at his school, Skyline Elementary, in Portland, Oregon. The last known person to see Kyron was his stepmother, Terri Horman, who is soon to become his ex stepmother. His age progressed picture and the number to contact, should anyone see him or know his whereabouts, appears above. Hopefully, the new attention and publicity will bring the awareness and cooperation that will solve this case. No child or family deserves this.

 

 

Kyron's Age Progressed Picture

There have been a lot of hits on my tracker lately concerning these pictures of Kyron Horman, who disappeared from his school in Portland Oregon in June of 2010. I will repost them, but keep in mind, they are all pictures of a younger Kyron with different hairstyles. The National Center For Missing And Exploited Children has a professional age progression of Kyron Horman on their site now, and I will post that here, too.

That was Kyron at seven years of age. He is now nine, so it is important to look at this:

Just remember, he could have glasses, or not. He could have long, short, or in between hair. He could have a baseball cap, or not. He could even have a tan or a sunburn. It's time for him to come home.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Several days ago, someone I know made a video of Kyron Horman, who has been lost since June of 2010. He went missing at Skyline Elementary, in Portland, Oregon. I posted the video on this site, hoping it would help someone, somewhere to recognize Kyron and bring him home. The creator of the video got lots and lots of praise and positive feedback on it. Some of that positive feedback was from yours truly, and I continue to laud his efforts, because he is talented, creative, and imaginative, and puts his talents to good use. Unfortunately, he also got some disturbing feedback on the video, so he decided to take it down. I was sorry to see that happen. I am also sorry to see Kyron still missing, every time I look at the news from his part of the country.

It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, at least one in six missing children are recovered through some form of photo distribution. That's a significant amount. That's an awful lot of missing kids who would not be found if not for photos of them posted on the internet, and in other places. Age progression is another valuable tool. In my opinion, the technology and practical application of same is still too new for what I would call accurate statistics, but let me remind everyone that many criminals have been apprehended thanx to the circulation of age progressed photos. Subtle changes in growth, hairstyle, glasses, dental changes (teeth growing in) can make a huge difference in a child's appearance. Jaycee Dugard and Shawn Hornbeck's age progressions were remarkably similar to the real Jaycee Dugard and Shawn Hornbeck. Keeping up with any possible changes in a missing child's appearance is also important enough for the NCMEC to age progress every photo they post of a person under fifteen years old every two years. In cases of missing persons over fifteen years old, they age progress their photos every five years.
