Donald Trump And The Symbionese Liberation Army

It has been a couple of weeks since the Trump Administration floated the idea of handing out boxes of food to SNAP recipients, rather than food stamps or plastic debit cards, so the story has made its way out of the news cycles. Donald Trump thought that a "Blue Apron" style of delivering food to poor children (most food stamps beneficiaries are children) would be a groovy way to re-vamp that aspect of welfare. Humiliating parents and children who are not as fortunate as Trump and Family is, these days, what being a Republican is all about.

Something that is not addressed by this "food delivery" idea is food allergies. All it takes is one mistake; one accidental or deliberate delivery of peanut butter or tuna to someone with a peanut butter or seafood allergy to kill that person. No kidding. Also not addressed are restricted diets: not everyone can safely eat the same stuff. A person with diabetes is often prescribed a restricted diet. A person with celiac disease experiences autoimmune reactions if he eats anything containing wheat products. A generic box of food cannot address this, but a person who knows what foods are medically safe for his own family can. It appears that the Trump administration just wants to put all poverty stricken families into one category, and any recipient of assistance who does not fit the category is simply out of luck.

Another group demanded, in 1974, that Hearst Publications try the same thing. This group was a terrorist group called the Symbionese Liberation Army. Patty Hearst, the daughter of one of the heirs to Hearst Publications, was kidnapped by the group in February of 1974. A demand made by the group, as a condition of Patty's release, was for the Hearst family to distribute $70.00 worth of food, in boxes, to every needy person in California. The approximate equivalent, as of 2018, is about $420.00 per person or family. Hearst went ahead and started distributing food at one location, hoping to get his daughter back. What ensued was chaos, not unlike Donald Trump and his charitable act of throwing paper towels at people in Puerto Rico, after Hurricane Maria. Such actions facilitate the risks of hurting people, and there is no guarantee that everyone who needs food or paper towels will even benefit. Since we all know that this type of charity did not work well for a group of domestic terrorists, why would the president thing it is a good idea?

Bill Maher has already forced Donald Trump to produce his birth certificate. He also gave Trump an education on the first amendment. I, for one, will miss having a president who knows the law and understands the Constitution.

I am back in Hood River, Oregon and watching both the leaves and the rain fall. Looking forward to Black Friday...yeah, buddy! Anyone else going to buy an important item that day?

The above quote was intercepted from some social media of someone who is homeless by choice and refuses to work or find permanent housing in order to better her situation. Instead, she sponges off of anyone she can, and spends her ninety-some odd dollars a month in food stamps on fast food. It is usually gone within a couple of days. She also thinks she should buy electronic equipment, such as computers, before she secures her own housing. Housing opportunities have, indeed, presented themselves to her over the last couple of years, yet she refuses. The rest of us deal with the pros and cons of various business and personal relationships with others, such as landlord/tenant; while this person will not do that. She opts, instead, to use everyone in her acquaintance. If a smelly, overweight, homeless female hitchhiker pontificates to you about morals, religion, and matters spiritual while using truly vulgar language and entertaining a sense of entitlement that would make a two year old proud, you may have met this person! She knows who she is........and here is my "cryptic" message to her! Here goes:

The only thing you need to buy on Black Friday, or any day, is your own food with your own government assistance; that is, until they find out you are not really looking for a job. And your own housing. You see, lots of shelters probably prioritize people who do not have incomes ahead of people who do. Your dishonestly obtained disability counts as an income, and you do not care for children, so you are LAST! Everywhere you go. Stop taking stuff to which you are not entitled, and maybe that will change.

The assistance you get from Kansas is more than enough to feed one person, if the one person happens to live somewhere with a stove. You have enough money to buy staples, such as beans and rice. You can also buy Mason jars, and preserve your own food. You are also allowed, in some states, to buy seeds with your assistance dollars and grow some of your food. That would involve a level of responsibility which would enable a landlord/tenant relationship, though. When Kansas extended government sponsored charity to you, caseworkers expected you to get a job and find permanent housing. And it IS charity, in your case......you've wolfed down more food than one person, even a Sumo wrestler, would ever claim and you've done it much longer than any state allows. Your habit of hopping from state to state, grabbing resources from other states when the state from which you currently sponge decides to put you on a diet and a job-hunting program, really needs more public attention. Not all homeless people do this, but you are a prime example of why some members of the general public hate the homeless and will not help them.

How do you sleep at night, knowing that every time you sleep on a bad for which your own finances did not pay, a child or an honestly desperate person is sleeping outside? Why do you take food, money, and resources from children, anyway?

Note: Anyone who knows what this post is about should be warned about one thing prior to picking this person up while she hitchhikes. While this did not happen to me, I was naïve enough to open my home to her, and it was my distinct impression that she was "shopping" (there's that Black Friday reference again!) for a place to either fake or stage an injury in order to file a lawsuit and grab some quick cash. When I didn't want to be vulnerable to this and play the game with her, she moved on to richer and less protected individuals. Also, money not only mysteriously disappeared from my wallet, but from my daughter's wallet, while this woman stayed in my home.

It is the reaction of a relative of mine who looked at Siri's World this morning and was stunned by your ignorance. You should also be aware that none of us are anonymous on the internet. Quite a few people so far have been shocked at the address of the IP number indicated by my tracker.

It needs to be pointed out that Christians in places like Europe (to those of you far right conservative Bible thumpers who can't possibly imagine Christians in Europe-yes- there are millions of Christians in Europe) Christians in Europe do not believe the way this menacing troll neighbor of yours and their insular, southern state cronies believe. I have some wonderful pen pals/ friends in Sweden. They really are nice people. Once native Swedish people warm up to you and get to know you; you'll never find better friends. There are Catholics and many protestants in Sweden- including the Lutheran Church. Your "polite" *cough! *Gag!... neighbor preaches about God and Flag when it borders blashpemy to mention the two in the same breath....... in Sweden- it is considered a desecration of the sanctuary and disrespectful to God to fly the flag of one's own country or any other country within the walls of the Church- especially the sanctuary. You NEVER see the Swedish flag or any other flag in the sanctuary of a Swedish church. I agree with this and believe it is the right approach. You come to the United States and you see American flags hanging all over many protestant sanctuaries- especially Southern Baptist churches. I have always found this to be disrespectful myself. Juli (and I have permission to call her that- thank you) It seems to me that your neighbor here and those like he or she practice no kind of spirituality or Christianity whatsoever. Instead they practice "Nationalism". They worship the American flag like an idol instead of leaving it in it's proper place as a symbol representing the nation they live in. A Nation where all beliefs and ideologies are supposed to be free and allowed to practice and do as they please. These people do not worship God; nor, are they spiritual.These people worship THEIR idea of America. They practice in Nationalism- they worship America. They disrespect their sanctuaries by flying American flags in them, singing patriotic songs riddled with propaganda within the church walls, and saying the pledge of allegiance to the flag in what is supposed to be God's house- not the Flag's house or America's house. What is the flag of any nation doing in a place that is supposed to be a holy/ sacred/ spiritual place? Many of these people are insular and ignorant to the World around them. The old spiritual song goes this way " He's got the WHOLE WORLD in his hands" It does not say " He's got the USA only in his hands" The Bible says for God so love the WORLD that he gave his only begotten son- it does not say " For God so loved America". So- if your neighbor is so Christian; then, why do they hate charity, hold the flag in higher regard than they do Christ,and apparently hate the rest of planet Earth? Is it a crime to love other countries as well as the USA? Certainly not. IS it un-American or un-Christian either one? Certainly not! Sometimes- because I love the REAL American ideals that helped found and define what this country was originally all about; I have considered moving to Sweden. Why? They're MORE American than AMERICA is now. And you might as well had better save your breath there Juli's nut job neighbor; because, unless you know Swedish people, know about their government, and know their culture the way that I do; you have no right to say anything. You have no way of arguing with me if you don't know anything about the subject matter in which I am speaking. Also- Nobody has the right to judge- period. Conservatives have a very bad habit of trash talking and arguing about something when they know absolutely NOTHING about it; nor, have they investigated to find out what the truth is. Ya know, Republicans, I already know who your stinkin' candidates are, I already have an opinion about most of them, and I already know who I'm probably going to vote for, so if you wanna grab money for your stupid little campaign, just do it the way you're supposed to do it. Or just campaign by starting a new charity with more capitol going to the cause rather than the overhead, or donate funds to an existing charity, and spend as much time as possible being a spokesperson for that, instead of taking money for advertising from a super-pac. I would be much more impressed, and so would many other Americans. Also, Mitt Romney belongs to the same deranged religious movement to which Warren Jeffs belongs, and no amount of advertising can erase that. So..........please stop reminding me of Nixon era Republicans. Not only does it cost too much to invoke laws to straighten you guys out, it gets boring.
