Kansan Megan Foglesong Is Missing

Has anyone seen an Oneida, Kansas woman by the name of Megan Foglesong? Her last Facebook activity was November 30 of last year, and she was said to have been seen toward the end of December in a store, but no one is really sure. What the Rice County, Kansas Sheriff's Office is sure of is that she is missing, now. Their number is 620-257-2363, and if anyone knows where she is or why she's missing, they would like to hear about it. Her picture is below.

Colton Barrera's Petition

Colton Ross Barrera disappeared on September 26, 2008. Since then, the case has stagnated in the office of the Russell County Sheriff's Office, in Kansas and has been assigned to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation in Great Bend, Kansas, but with no notable progress in searches or interviews with witnesses. Because it has been over six years since Colton has been seen anywhere, his family, his friends, and the citizens of Kansas would like this case handed to the FBI for further investigation and a fresh look at any leads that may or may not have been pursued. The people of Kansas would also like an update on the case from the Russell County Sheriff's Office and from the Kansas Bureau of Investigations, complete with an accounting of the outcomes of any interviews and the findings of any search warrants. Colton and his family deserve to know the progress of the investigation and the case. Here is the link to the petition to request renewed efforts to find Colton and resolve his case; please click on the link and sign it.

Private Message

You know something, Rhino-ass? (you know who you are, too, and I know you will see this) When dozens of emergency vehicles are transiting a small town with virtually no population on the outskirts because a violent, unsolved murder has just taken place, expecting anyone to stop and pick up a stranger is absurd. Especially if the sheriff has asked everyone to avoid doing so, and to avoid driving through the area at all, if possible. Everything from rescue efforts to integrity of the crime scene could be compromised, and the sheriff was probably more concerned about public safety than picking up a whining rhinoceros who eats like a pig. I'd be scared to pick up a stranger, too, if someone had just gotten shot in front of my face. You need to leave everyone alone in circumstances like this.

If you want an easier train trip next time, try buying two tickets instead of just one. That way, both your ass and your face will fit where you sit. Avoid throwing trash everywhere, and leave everyone else's wallet alone.

The hairstyle looks better on this passenger, who also probably smells better than a certain whiney hitchhiker. All in all, a better seat mate, if one is travelling by train. By the way, I am sorry for your loss.

Another Northeast Kansas Stranger Danger Problem

This time, it was Pottawatomie County. Two twelve year old students from St. George, Kansas, took some trash to a recycling bin on Wednesday, and were followed by an older man with whom they were unacquainted. While the two children were able to escape him, he made some overtures that were interpreted by the sheriff's office as attempts to abduct the children, and police would like to find out more. He's been described as an older male with greying hair and a bald spot on the back of his head and a white beard. The man was wearing a black and white striped shirt and blue jeans. He drove a red, four door Chevrolet. Anyone with information should call the Pottawatomie County Sheriff at 785-457-3353.

Hopefully, this was an isolated incident in St George. If the school looks at it's policies about supervision of children, and makes appropriate revisions, this might be the last time a dangerous person ever feels so welcome to make advances toward students right on school property. There have been more reports in the news lately about vulnerable children and strangers in Northeast Kansas, and it's starting to look like it may be time for certain public schools here in Kansas to come into compliance with national standards for student safety.

So Someone Has A Problem With Petitions?

Okay, this is to the person who has a problem with this post. Go home and take a baby aspirin! If a person, or a few persons, in the community want to know about the progress of a missing persons case, particularly that of a child who disappeared from a public school, there is not a problem in asking about it! If you are not interested in the sheriff's answer to any of the questions, don't bother to read any media or information about the petition! The whole idea of shutting down an investigation prior to resolution is only beneficial to the guilty party, no one else.

Above is a little something from the Facebook page of Terri Horman, sometime step parent of Kyron Horman, who disappeared from his second grade class at Skyline Elementary in Portland, Oregon in June of 2010. A rather nasty message to any journalists scoping out Terri Horman's page, after she failed two polygraphs, was posted on Terri's wall by one of her friends. This friend indicated that Kyron's family was not interested in the publicity that the media could guarantee, and was thereby rudely discouraging anyone to post pictures and information about Kyron's missing persons case. This is actually quite contrary to the desires of both of Kyron's parents and the rest of his family. Four years have gone by, and Kyron has not been found, so a new petition, which is promoted in the post that attracted an angry troll whose comment was too profane for print, was drafted. It is a request for updated information and progress on Kyron's case, and the link is here. Please sign it; Kyron's family has been waiting for four years.

Unexplored Anonymous Tip In Kendrick Johnson's Death

Now that the investigation into Kendrick Johnson's untimely death has been closed, and Lowndes County sheriff, Stryde Jones, is insisting that some anonymous testimony that was sent to his office via email is "not credible", Kendrick's parents have filed suit against the Lowndes County Board Of Education in Georgia for wrongful death. This is appropriate, although it would have been more appropriate to conduct a thorough investigation. The tip was anonymous, but that does not mean that probable cause for searches, more interviews, and analysis of DNA and fingerprint evidence does not exist. In fact, this death is speculated to be the result of a white assailant against Kendrick, who was black. We all know that if it was the other way around, the sheriff and the court would have conducted a real investigation and answers would have resulted.

Here is a question about Stryde Jones and his statement that the anonymous tip "isn't credible": just how the hell does Stryde KNOW the tip isn't credible? How does he KNOW that he does not have to pursue this tip, the same way other law enforcement agencies pursue tips? There really is only one way this sheriff would know these things, and that is if he already knows who killed Kendrick Johnson. Which begs the question, who is Sheriff Stryde Jones, of Lowndes County Georgia, protecting?

More on this in a day or two.

Anonymous To Huntsville Alabama Police

This video was made because police in Huntsville, Alabama reportedly told paramedics, after arresting a seventeen year old child, and apparently after handcuffing him, pepper spraying him, and battering his one hundred and fifty pound frame, that he had swallowed evidence during the arrest. When paramedics attempted to induce vomiting, they found nothing, so police proceeded to ram a sharp object down the child's throat, killing him.

After the undersheriff of Marshall County, Kansas gave permission to assault and batter a targeted victim, it appears that law abiding citizens have a war of sorts on their hands with the very agents we formerly trusted to serve and protect. Missing children, hate crimes, and sexual violence against children do not appear to be important to Kansas and it's judicial system. They have an agenda that is not in the best interest of the general public.

Selective Application Of Laws In Marshall County, Kansas

"EQUAL PROSECUTION. CM spoke about an example of a juvenile crossing private property cutting donuts with a vehicle. She talked about prosecution and restitution and asked why some people are singled out for the exact crime and some are not. CA McNish said Municipal Court has no jurisdiction over juveniles. CM asked CA McNish to comment on fair and equal prosecution in town. CA McNish said he has been more than fair. No decisions were made."

Above is a quote from a recent city council meeting in Marysville, Kansas.  City Attorney (CA) McNish was asked a direct question about underage drivers, often unlicensed, driving through  fields, lawns, and gardens, and occasionally running over mailboxes. Marshall County Kansas will often throw the book at a teen for this, but then, sometimes not. City Attorney McNish spoke truthfully enough when he stated that the city of Marysville has no jurisdiction over juveniles, but what he did not discuss is the fact that his spouse, Laura McNish, is the county attorney, and it is the office of the county sheriff who would handle the arrest of a juvenile tearing up a lawn or field with a vehicle, or the arrest of a juvenile drinking alcohol. Often enough, children who do these things are duly prosecuted, but what happens if an underage witness, in a case against someone else being tried by the county attorney, is caught drinking beer? As it happened in May of 2013, the underage witness was not arrested, even though she was obviously drunk. Her changing testimony at the trial, which, by the way, the county attorney lost, was deemed too important to risk losing her cooperation by arresting her, as indicated by the law. What happens if the driver of a vehicle being driven over private property, and destroying the same, belongs to the son or daughter of someone in a position of authority in Marshall County or Marysville, Kansas? Do those young people live by the same rules? Apparently, a portion of the citizenry in Marysville think not; otherwise the question would not have been brought up at a city council meeting. County Attorney is an elected position, here in Kansas, and selective application of laws is not a way for elected officials to remain in office.

The Kansas Judicial Branch site has this to say about personal and public matters involving lawyers:

[5] A lawyer's conduct should conform to the requirements of the law, both in professional service to clients and in the lawyer's business and personal affairs. A lawyer should use the law's procedures only for legitimate purposes and not to harass or intimidate others. A lawyer should demonstrate respect for the legal system and for those who serve it, including judges, other lawyers and public officials. While it is a lawyer's duty, when necessary, to challenge the rectitude of official action, it is also a lawyer's duty to uphold legal process.

Anyone wishing to file a complaint with the Kansas Bar Association can print this complaint form and mail the hard copy to Disciplinary Administrator, 701 Jackson Street, First Floor, Topeka, Kansas, 66603-3729. All complaints must be written and snail mailed.

Brad Cook Missing From Olathe, Kansas

Brad Cook is missing from Olathe, Kansas, and was reported missing by his family when he didn't come home on October 20. In today's world, three days is a long time to let one's email and facebook go unchecked, and to abstain from making phone calls or using one's credit cards or bank account. If you know have any information concerning Brad's whereabouts, please call the Johnson County Kansas Sheriff's Department at the number on the poster above.

Conflict Of Interest In Kansas

Why would a cop whose employer is the county's sheriff department also hold an elected position on the city council of the county seat in the same county? Are there any possible and likely conflicts of interest in such a case? Just asking.

Sheriff Expects Favortism

The sheriff here expected special favor when he was pulled over for DWI, and was shocked when he did not get it. Kudos to the trooper who agrees that we should all be sober when we drive!

Lana Leigh Bailey Of Kansas Is Missing

I read about this triple homicide in Ottawa, Kansas a couple of days ago. On Monday, a friend of Andrew Stout went to his home, after not seeing or hearing from him in several days, and did not find Andrew, but found very hungry, unfed pets. There was also a pervasive foul odor on the premises, and Andrew's friend called the police. The sheriff came, and determined that the foul odor was only garbage that had not been taken out or collected. The following day, Andrew's friend got a couple more people to go back to Andrew's with her and returned, this time going inside the house in order to feed the pets. That was when she found Kaylie Bailey, deceased, under a tarp in the garage and the bodies of Andrew Stout and Steven White in the house. So much for the sheriff's assessment that the smell was only because the garbage had not been taken out! Someone has already been arrested in connection with the three homicides in Ottawa; the remaining question has to do with Lana Bailey, the eighteen month old daughter of Kaylie Bailey and Andrew Stout; the last time she was seen, she was en route to Andrew Stout's home with her mother. So....has anyone seen Lana Leigh Bailey?

If The Police Decide To Beat You Up

A mistake often made by victims of violence by police officers is that of asking the potential defendant, the police department, for pictures and evidence. The problem with gathering evidence from a defendant is that any defendant in the United States has the right to put on a defense, and to refuse self incrimination, including the police. The best place to go in the event of police brutality is the nearest emergency room. Explain that you are a crime victim, and insist that the visit be handled that way. Even if you run into a physician who does not think you deserve medical attention because the police targeted you, he or she is obligated to treat you and document your visit. Of course, that cursery phone call to the sheriff that must be made by the hospital in the event of physical violence and abuse is often very awkward; how does one report the sheriff's department to the sheriff's department? The next step, of course, is keeping all paperwork from the emergency room for your lawyer's reading pleasure.

Marshall County Kansas tax dollars at work. Had the emergency room made the phone call attributing this to anyone besides a civil "servant" in law enforcement, probable cause for an arrest warrent would have been construed.

A Letter To Kansas Superintendant About A School Staff That Favors Criminals Over Decent People

For the sake of documentation, I always publish my letters to the superintendant of my childrens' school. That makes documentation easy to obtain at a moment's notice, and it's also an interesting snapshot of how schools are run in Northeast Kansas. I have attempted to protect such information as whole names or proper nouns.

Dear Mr. FXXX,
Yesterday, at school, my daughter, RXXX, had an interaction with another student, SXXX, that required an incident report. SXXX had an injury to his leg that was healing, and RXXX noticed a scab and asked him about it. He asked her what she was talking about, and she touched the scab. He winced, and then claimed that he had reinjured himself. Mrs. XXXX did not think that the incident was worthy of an indicent report at first, and knew that RXXX was not attempting to harm SXXX, so she let it go. Later, that evening, while I was driving home from elsewhere in this town, I noticed that a vehicle was following me. When I parked in front of my house, SXXX's mother, Janet HXXX, stopped in the middle of the road for a minute, and then pulled in front of my van and parked her car. She and SXXX got out, and proceeded to hollar, blame, cry fake tears, and told me that RXXX should "have to go to court" because it was her fault he winced and got hurt. I asked for documentation, and they had none. I told them that the conversation was over, and they stayed and continued to yell. I went inside, and called Mrs. XXXX and got her version of events, which is what I think Janet HXXX should have done. If she was upset enough to seek me out after school was over for the day, why did not Dean DXXX or Tom SXXX handle it, and if truly necessary, call me to the school and discuss it there with RXXX, Janet, SXXX, and myself? Leaving Janet to the wind was wrong; she should have had recourse to the school. If she did have recourse to the school officials yet chose to harass me anyway, then she committed a crime, and I will follow up on it.

I spoke with Sheriff Dan HXXXX this afternoon about my encounter with her. He told me he would visit her and tell her to leave me alone. Yet, when I went to see my daughters in the school play tonight, she was there! Why? I asked Dianna YXXX and Tom SXXX what the procedures are when the sheriff tells someone to stay away from someone else, and I am the injured party here......she's the one who came to me wanting to harass me, not the other way around. Tom SXXX yelled at me and denied any responsibility and Dianna YXXX told me that she called the sheriff herself and was told that Dan and I never talked. I called the police on my cell phone (she would not let me use the school phone) and they told me that they did not tell her that. The police have no reason to tell me something that isn't true, so as far as I'm concerned, I was lied to by Dianna YXXX. Tom SXXX does have a measure of responsibility for incidents such as the one that happened between RXXX and SXXX, and his behavior was unprofessional. Dianna YXXX also told me that Janet told her that she never even confronted me about the incident, and that I was lying. I guess it's easy to get away with things like that when documentation does not take place. Once again, I do not fault Mrs SXXX for not writing an incident report because she didn't think it was necessary, but if a parent was as upset as Janet was last night, wanting to blame me, even though I was nowhere near the school when it happened, why didn't Dean call me to talk to me and RXXX at the same time about it? Someone did a crappy job of handling the whole thing, and it wasn't me.

Because Janet harassed and stalked me, I intend to follow it up with the police. I would really appreciate it if your school personnel would keep their opinions that I am "a bad person", or that "what I said wasn't true" to themselves. Also, if I get a restraining order against her, or if the sheriff tells her to leave me alone, I think I should be the one to be able to enjoy sharing my childrens' education with them, while she leaves me alone. I think the school should be more concerned with protecting me, since she was willing to harass me after school hours without any documentation of what happened. I don't think anyone should blame me for being upset, and if they do, I think they should keep it to themselves. I do not drive to peoples' houses and scare them, she does. Please remind everyone to keep their obvious and unwarrented disrespect for me under wraps. My children are starting to notice, and I am tired of it.

I deserve an apology from Tom SXXX for the way he spoke to me, and since he did it in public, perhaps he should apologize in public.

No; Dorner's Cabin Hideout Was Torched On Purpose

Contrary to propoganda flatulated by LAPD, and further emitted by the media, the cabin, in which the recently infamous Chris Dorner was said to have hidden, was burned down deliberately, not accidently. So....San Bernardino Sheriff's Office, no one doubts that the situation at hand was very, very serious. If you had entertained intentions all along of torching any structure in which Dorner took shelter, why don't you just say so, instead of spreading lies?

Sierra Lamar; I Hope They Have The Right Guy

A twenty-one year old named Antonin Garcia Torres was arrested early this morning, at his place of employment, a Safeway store, for the kidnapping and murder of fifteen year old Sierra Lamar. She has been missing since March, the the Sheriff Laurie Smith, of Santa Clara County, has been watching Torres for weeks, because of some evidence he left on several of Sierra's personal effects, which were found in three different locations. His family is stunned, and does not believe he had anything to do with the case. The sheriff feels that Sierra was chosen as a random victim, and that Torres has no connection to her.

If he does have anything to do with the case, or if he is aquainted with Sierra, unbeknownst to her family, I hope that anyone with knowledge of this will come forward and share this information with law enforcement. The most important issue here remains: Sierra has not been found.

Your Sheriff On Drugs

Earlier this week, Randy Axelson, sheriff of Rooks County, Kansas, got arrested because the Kansas Bureau of Investigations suspected his involvement in distribution of methamphetamine. As Axelson is not the first police officer or the first authority figure to get arrested for drugs, this would not have caught my attention, except for the fact that there are actually human beings, in Kansas, putting comments on the internet about how unfair it is that poor Randy got arrested! Unfair?? Are these people aware of the differences between a pot plant in a flowerpot, and a meth lab?

I was quite surprised to learn that people like Bishop Robert Finn, of Kansas city, Missouri, could allow and protect kiddie porn perps, and possibly participate in kiddie porn stuff, and still have a pretty generous following of supporters and people who think he should not be charged with a crime, when the very same people would want anyone else doing the same perverted things to be charged with a crime. Authority figures are not above the law. I suppose I should not have been surprised at the supporters of the sheriff. Maybe they were his customers, before he went to jail, and got released with some new ankle jewelry.
