Patricia Ann Welch Says She Knows What Happened To The Lyon Sisters

Patricia Ann Welch wants the police, and the rest of the world, to know that her father, Richard Welch, is not responsible for the disappearance or death of either of the two missing girls, Sheila and Katherine Lyon, who disappeared from Maryland in 1975. She goes on to volunteer the information that other other members of her family are responsible, just not her father. In 2014, her father and her cousin, Lloyd Lee Welch, were named persons of interest and in 2015, Lloyd Lee Welch was indicted in Bedford County, Virginia for the murders of both girls.

That's very interesting. Sheila and Katherine have been missing for forty-one years. If Patricia Ann Welch knew who was responsible, and what happened to them, why hasn't she spoken with law enforcement? Did she just not care about Sheila and Katherine's family?

Transparent, Black, And Missing In America

Here's some information that will be shared this month, in Washington, DC. It is about the unequal air time given to missing persons, children especially, who are black. When a missing person is a white, blond, blue-eyed young woman, her picture finds it's way into all the major publications and is viewed on all the major TV networks. White children are often featured, as well. Advertisers have deemed that the American public will only hear about certain things, and they do not appear willing to sponsor as much airtime for black missing people as they do for white. This greatly reduces the chances that the neglected, un-aired cases will be solved, and it is unbalanced news coverage for all concerned. Hopefully, Black And Missing In America can raise awareness and bring about changes in the way all missing persons cases are presented to the public.

So Someone Has A Problem With Petitions?

Okay, this is to the person who has a problem with this post. Go home and take a baby aspirin! If a person, or a few persons, in the community want to know about the progress of a missing persons case, particularly that of a child who disappeared from a public school, there is not a problem in asking about it! If you are not interested in the sheriff's answer to any of the questions, don't bother to read any media or information about the petition! The whole idea of shutting down an investigation prior to resolution is only beneficial to the guilty party, no one else.

Above is a little something from the Facebook page of Terri Horman, sometime step parent of Kyron Horman, who disappeared from his second grade class at Skyline Elementary in Portland, Oregon in June of 2010. A rather nasty message to any journalists scoping out Terri Horman's page, after she failed two polygraphs, was posted on Terri's wall by one of her friends. This friend indicated that Kyron's family was not interested in the publicity that the media could guarantee, and was thereby rudely discouraging anyone to post pictures and information about Kyron's missing persons case. This is actually quite contrary to the desires of both of Kyron's parents and the rest of his family. Four years have gone by, and Kyron has not been found, so a new petition, which is promoted in the post that attracted an angry troll whose comment was too profane for print, was drafted. It is a request for updated information and progress on Kyron's case, and the link is here. Please sign it; Kyron's family has been waiting for four years.

Put Information To Good Use

While the media has been attempting to keep the masses focused on Hobby Lobby and it's barely useful employee insurance package, (seriously; Hobby Lobby is certainly NOT the only employer out there who rips off workers via benefits) there are elections coming up later this year. Every legislative session seems to feature either subtle or blatant challenges to the fourth amendment, putting down SOPA was, sadly, not good enough for everyone; and we still have a government that isn't interested in the upholding of the Constitution. But what about the information that is available about those running for public office? Shouldn't that information be shared and discussed publicly? After all, those who hold elected positions are merely civil servants, and their lives actually SHOULD be open books. Instead of hyper-focus on some dumbass Christians who want their employees to take as much maternity leave as possible, (isn't that what happens without contraceptives?) lets put the spotlight on all of our politicians who are planning to run for public office this fall. As for sharing information about their personal lives, remember how deeply they care, OR NOT, about the privacy of all the rest of us!

Snagged from Facebook.....seemed apropos.

Roseburg Oregon Fundraiser For Kyron

It has been almost four years since Kyron Horman disappeared from his school in Portland, Oregon, when he was seven years old. He hasn't been found, and everyone involved is frustrated. Well, almost everyone. Three people involved in the case do not appear to care. These three are Terri Horman, former spouse and sometime step-parent of Kyron, also the last known person to see Kyron; and her parents, Carol and Larry Moulton.

How fortunate for them that there will be a fundraiser this weekend in Roseburg, where they reside, to fund future searches for Kyron. They can support Kyron by getting their cars washed or making a donation. We will hope that they resist the urge to pass out flyers bearing incorrect information. If Terri Horman wants to raise money to search for Kyron, she should pose on a dunking tank and let passers-by throw beanbags to dunk her in a water tank. That would be a lot more productive than putting up posters containing misinformation.

Rescue Missions

I have never been a fan of Christian organizations of any kind, but lately, Rescue Missions have stepped up their level of cruelty. There are homeless people whose issues exceed the expertise of the average shelter volunteer, but would the mythical Jesus Icon have split up a family, thrown them out of the shelter, and left two parents and a five year old boy with no place to sleep? Why did they harm a woman in her seventies, making it impossible for her to work or attend classes? Are her pursuits not important to Rescue Missions? If demoralizing and otherwise harming those who happen to be vulnerable for one reason or another is the method of choice to further one's own agenda, consider the information publicized.

Christians And Human Trafficking In Kansas

Recently, an official for Child Protective Services in the Wichita, Kansas area, by the name of Diane Bidwell, resigned. She resigned the day an investigation was completed concerning her relationship with a Christian organization called Faithbuilders, which buys and sells white children who have had the misfortune of being snatched from their natural parents. It astounds this blogger to no end that a religious organization is even eligible to serve in this function: they recruit, secure foster placements. There does not appear to be any concern for the child whose parents and extended family are not Christian. In fact, the extended family does not appear to matter to Faithbuilders. The biggest reason for the DCF review is summed up here, by KAKE; "The internal DCF review started after complaints alleging that FaithBuilders -- which provides respite and foster care as well as mentoring for parents facing crises -- had encouraged some parents to place their children into temporary foster care and then sign away their parental rights so the children could be adopted."

Well, well, well. This sounds a little like a case that took place in Haiti, involving an Idaho Christian named Laura Silsby. She thought, since an earthquake in February of 2010 displaced a large number of people, that no one would miss a few children, if she snatched them and brought them, illegally, to the United States. Despite the fact that this is human trafficking, other lovely Christians accompanied her, some of whom were, ironically, from Kansas.

Kansas is filled with German Christian families who, historically had as many children as they could to use as farm hands. If a child disappeared, it was no big deal to the German Christian parents.  If a parent's child gets snatched  by Child Protective Services, they seriously do not understand why it is so important  to the parent to get the child back. Kansas honestly feels that it is okay to grab a child every now and then, terminate a parent's rights, refuse to contact any noncustodial parents or other relatives, and just allow another family to adopt the child, after paying certain fees, of course. This helps Kansas during a sluggish economy. Laura McNish, prosecutor of Marshall County, Kansas, even takes children away from parents who will not agree to testify in ways that serve the interests of the prosecution in unrelated cases. She thinks nothing of it; Marshall County can make money that way. That's how she buys untruthful testimony from witnesses; she threatens children. A recent victim of this game actually lost her virginity while in the care of a teacher from Frankfort High School.

So the results of this investigation will now be kept confidential. We, the people, are not supposed to care too much about what the good Christians of Faithbuilders are doing with OTHER PEOPLES' children. And Diana Bidwell decided to resign, at the very minute the review was completed. Coincidence? "DCF spokeswoman Theresa Freed said in an e-mail that DCF Secretary Phyllis Gilmore decided the results of the review would be "kept confidential because of concerns regarding children in her care and personnel matters." Exactly when did Phyllis Gilmore start to care about the rights of the children in her care? There is no question that she cares about "personel matters", as she covers for people in her employ rather frequently when they err, but concerns regarding the children in her care? Why not just remove all the names of children from the report, and hand it over to the people?
Gilmore has also decided she needs more information.

Lucky for Gilmore, this blog has her covered. In 1996, Washington, D.C. had some problems with it's Child Protective Services agency. Not only were the findings of all the investigations turned over to the lawyers of the children in custody, the whole mess was covered by the Washington Post, and several other newpapers.
Here's some more information for Gilmore, should this not be enough: LaShawn A. v. Williams mandated that Child Protective Services in Washington D.C. be placed in receivership from 1996 until around 2001 or 2002. As a by-product of the court ruling, the information, minus the names of the children involved, became public information. This should help Gilmore with her need for "more information."

Of course, federal authorities, along with the Freedom Of Information Act, can also prove very helpful to Phyllis Gilmore, in her desperate need for information. It works like this: the congressmen and senators who desire the results of the above named investigation, in order to protect the children of Kansas, file suit for said information via the Freedom Of Information Act, citing the most recent update of the law. The court then orders the investigation made public, minus the names of any minors involved, and....viola! National and local newspapers print a big story about the whole thing, and Phyllis Gilmore has all the information she needs!

Sad Update On Brad Cook

Brad Cook, who went missing from Olathe, Kansas, last week, was found yesterday. in Desoto, Kansas. His death was one of two unexplained deaths in Desoto during the week he was found. Investigators are still trying to determine what happened and gather information. Hopefully, they will be successful and find out what happened and why.

BooHooHoo! We Don't Have Time To Spy Anymore!

It seems the NSA is a bit anal retentive these days because they do not have as much time to devote to unrestrained spying, thanks to Edward Snowden and the information he released to the general public. The NSA would much rather operate in secret, allegedly gathering as much intelligence as possible about foreign targets and "protecting" the United States. That's a very nice thought, but Snowden's leaks did not actually deal very much with surveillance of foreign nationals operating in a hostile fashion; the leaks dealt with metadata collected and stored about the everyday lives and activities of average American citizens. That said, it seems plausible that those who spy for the NSA may actually be prevaricating when they express concerns that foreign targets upon whom they spy will now be forewarned and change their communication styles and mediums in an ongoing effort to frustrate information harvests.

How often has the NSA successfully averted unfortunate goings-on in the dominions and lives of everyday citizens? A look at any news network will show that if the NSA truly has any intentions of making the world a safer place for Americans and others, they've been slacking lately. What, exactly then, have they been doing with all of the data they collect? The ability to intercept Facebook and Twitter communications could stop a lot of everyday criminal activity. While the NSA can argue that those everyday criminal activities are petty crimes, and not worthy of their attention, the direction of prosecutors nationwide has been to criminalize, over-criminalize, and charge each and every defendant or police detainee with a felony whenever possible. It seems, kinda, sorta, like informing local sheriff departments about premeditated felony crime should be a priority of sorts, or at least a side interest, if the intelligence to intercept is available, which it clearly is. How many missing persons cases are still open?  How many times has the NSA offered it's help in locating missing children? Probably never. Your children are not important, everyday Americans. Now that the middle classes are not important, your children do not matter, and your tax dollars that support law enforcement do not pay anyone to protect you or your children. Don't expect anyone's intelligence gathering activities to help you in any way.

In the "Post Edward Snowden Era", the NSA is very, very unhappy about it's perceived obligation to control damage, rather than to come clean and amend it's practices. There is much ado about all of the time agents must spend tracking down that which has been revealed, and any defensive postures that must be taken. Finding out who knows what, and who is changing gears in order to compensate for lack of privacy, is much more important than treating the general population with respect. In fact, the NSA is not concerned, in the slightest way, about any murders or any missing persons cases whih could have been prevented, but for some useful information, denied, rather than shared with lower level law enforcement; and the NSA is not concerned in the slightest about the lack of respect it has shown for American citizens.

Keep Questioning Authority

This is an interesting video of an encounter between a law student and a police officer. The law student carried a handgun, not concealed, as permitted by law. The police officer harassed him. He did not give his name to the police officer, and gave information about various court cases, instead. Eventually, the officer was obliged to give him back his gun, and stop unlawfully detaining him.

Unless a police officer is arresting a person, that person is under no obligation to reveal a name, or any other information. And if a person is under arrest, a name is all that's required; not a social security number, not even an address.

Ruled By Criminals

There are people in America who are arrogant and undersocialized enough to think that personal information unlawfully harvested by government agencies will never become a problem in their lives, and that as long as they are "good" people, they will never become criminalized by a corrupt government. Actually, as soon as many of these arrogant, undersocialized people become obsolete and useless to those in power, who target various demographic groups of people, they will, themselves, be targeted as criminals or other types of "undesirables" and treated as such. In fact, anyone who insists upon remaining undersocialized and arrogant is probably already useless. That's still not a reason to allow the Constitution to become obsolete.

Medical Information And Privacy

Have you ever wondered exactly what constitutes a beach in medical information covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, or "HIPAA"? Or, have you ever felt certain that your rights to privacy concerning your medical information had been violated, but not known how to file a complaint, or with whom to file a complaint? As it happens, if your privacy has accidently or deliberately been breached in some way...say....the emergency department at your local hospital accidently sent your bill to another person, business, or government agency, instead of to you; and your injury, hospital visit, and insurance information are now common knowledge among people of whom you have never seen or heard, there is information provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services about exactly what is lawful and what is not lawful concerning the sharing of medical information. In a case such as the one above, the hospital would have sixty days to notify you that the breach had occurred, and would also be required to notify DHHS of the breach. DHHS even offers the convenience of an online link for the filing of a complaint and reminds everyone of the fact that it is against the law for any healthcare provider to retaliate in any way against a person who has filed a complaint.

Bully, Bully In The Hall

Anyone with unwarranted curiosity about yours truly, or family of same, should come to yours truly with questions, not to friends and associates. Especially not to clergy; in my tradition, such crass and unfriendly advances are not taken kindly. This should give the person who did that something to think about.

As for unlawful and false testimony, the person who has foolishly decided to go forward with matters from which he was advised to abstain should be aware that the louder he becomes with lies, the louder I will become with the truth. A good school administrator does not allow a guidance counselor to transport a student four miles away from the school and forget about the student, resulting in an unreported missing persons case. This is child abuse, and it was swept under the rug, with deliberate lies, fabricated to protect a person whose employment at the school should have been terminated. And yes, there are witnesses that the same guidance counselor entertained underage female students in his home after school was dismissed, and also bought cigarettes for one of them. There are eyewitnesses, Dean, and eyewitnesses that you have been informed; so don't even try. The best thing to do is just tell the truth about your unqualified staff member and stop trying to harm those whom you simply, on a whim, don't like. Outside of Frankfort, and away from Frankfort School, there are lots and lots of people. Some of them are people you might like, some of them, you might not. You can't always deal with those you don't happen to like by using bully tactics.

Not only have I enrolled my children elsewhere for the upcoming school year, I have gone to even more agencies concerning Tom Schroeder's abuse of my daughter during her freshman year of high school. I am making good on a promise I made, a couple of years ago, to a troll, that every time someone protests my public statements about Tom Schroeder's unprofessional and dangerous conduct, I would make Tom's professional failings more and more public. Well, I'm doing it. I legally can, since it can be proven, via eyewitnesses and sworn statements, that it happened. Don't expect to impune the innocent and exonerate the guilty, bullying adults in much the same way as you bully the less popular children; I will not allow you to manipulate the justice system that way, especially after all the nauseating Christianity you spewed.

By the way, you were told abut the guns that come to your school; yet you did nothing about it, Dean. How come? You do know that it isn't legal to take guns to school, don't you? Here's a clue, Dean; the mom who ingratiates herself to you and to various members of your faculty the most probably would not have wanted you or anyone else to look in her son's vehicle during hunting season. Stop putting the cute club ahead of student safety.

Once again, if you really want to talk to me, talk to me. Don't use fake names and try to pry information from others.

Just A Reminder

Just a reminder......I know I've stated this before. Certain posts pertaining to certain events, certain businesses and institutions, and certain elected officials, are scheduled to publish automatically, on certain dates, on this site. That means that if I become too busy, too preoccupied, too ecstatic, too exhausted, too excited, too outraged, too comatose, or otherwise too engaged to get online and publish something, that "something" is certain to publish, all by itself! On the other hand, if life continues at a stable pace, with no one bothering me, I will certainly remember to control the dates during which these certain posts, with their certain content, publish; backing up and amending certain information as I see fit. Brightest Blessings, all!

In Case You Were Wondering

In case you were wondering, since the subject of information shared and information not shared has been a big item lately, it came to my attention that here in Kansas, and pretty much nationwide, elected and public officials are not nearly as protected by laws governing public descriptions of their actions, words, and political positions as people who are not elected or public officials. That's why one can find so many photoshopped pictures of Newt Gingrich, criticisms of the late Amy Winehouse's lifestyle, and bumper stickers that say things like "Buck Fush"! So to those thin skinned elected officials and et els who cry about Facebook and stomp their feet about the media, I am going to suggest ethical behavior toward supporters and detractors. If an elected public servant acts morally, does justice in all things, refuses to play favorites, and does not lie; the words spoken and written about that public servant will probably consist mostly of compliments.
