Life Sentence For Dallas Bond

Dallas Bond, the Brown County, Kansas dispatcher who once trolled Northeast Kansas for underage sex crimes victims, has received a life sentence for the same.

Prior to getting caught by police, Mr. Bond had stolen handcuffs, leg irons, a radio, and some official looking shirts with logos from the Brown County, Kansas sheriff department, where he worked as a dispatcher. These items were recovered, but not until they were used while he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a child. There is a pervasive belief on the part of Kansans that this type of crime does not occur in Kansas because so much of Kansas is rural. This is error, and it is overlooking the obvious: there are few surveillance cameras, few eyewitnesses, and unreliable cell phone service in much of the "country"...or commercial farmland in Kansas. In combination with school administrations who violate the federal laws concerning child safety, "the country" in Kansas is actually very dangerous for children.

This is where another child, in Frankfort, Kansas, was abandoned by a guidance counselor. Was it done in the expectation of an encounter with someone pretending to be a police officer? Everyone involved has been advised not to talk by a local attorney.

Tamir Rice Was Shot Because He Was Black

"I was right there and he went for the gun. I had no choice," is the lie told by Tim Loehmann after shooting twelve year old Tamir Rice in November, 2014.

Why do police officers in America lie? Since most investigations of police officers are done by individuals and organizations that are pro police and racist, why was  Tim Loehmann even motivated to make false statements? For instance, reporting that Rice had the gun in his hands, when the video clearly shows he did not. Also, Loehmann stated that Rice was sitting at the table at the recreation center in a group of people, while the video very clearly shows that Rice was alone. Let us also not forget that Loehmann wrote that he told Rice three times to put his hands in the air, when the video shows that he did not say a word to Rice, but shot him instantly.

This is why policemen are often referred to as pigs. I hope Tamir Rice's community can find a way to get justice.

Dallas Bond Sentenced

Remember this post? A young person named Dallas Bond, in Brown County, Kansas, did what school boards in neighboring Marshall and Nemaha Counties insist never happens in Northeast Kansas: he offered a ride to a child in middle school, proceeded to kidnap the child, checked into a hotel, and sexually assaulted the child. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to seven years in prison for stealing handcuffs, leg irons, shirts with sheriff's office logos, and radio equipment from the Brown County Sheriff's office. He has not yet been tried in Jackson County for his use of a hotel and for rape. So much for "these things not happening in small towns n Kansas."

Hopefully, every racist in the United States, the Midwest, especially, will take note and modify his or her professional stance.

Bugbee, Once Again

In November, a Kansas minister by the name of James Bugbee (Washington Christian Church, Washington, Kansas) was arrested for inappropriate sexual conduct with a child. Bugbee is a youth pastor, by the way. There's a bit of a revision to the story now. It seems that Bugbee has also given Kansas cause to suspect him of "theft by deception". He allegedly held two fundraisers for some alleged cancer, with which, as it happens, Bugbee was NOT afflicted. He told his churchmates that he was using the money to travel abroad for "treatment".He then proceeded to use the money to pay personal expenses that had nothing to do with medical problems or travel. The FBI and Department of Homeland Security investigated. In addition, there are three more counts of commercial sexual exploitation of a child, three more counts of sexual exploitation of a child, one count of unlawful sexual  relations, and according to the February 19, 2015 edition of the Marysville Advocate, he has also been accused of sending inappropriate texts to a local high school student.

Two Wichita Women Arrested For Human Trafficking

Yes, Kansas, you read that correctly. Wichita is a big hub for human trafficking. Tinique Anthony and Ashley Bowman, two accused perpetrators, are now both in jail.

Diana Shunn, of the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County, recommends awareness and communication to help fight this type of crime. Assuming that "those things don't happen in my neighborhood", or "those things don't happen in the country" or "in Kansas" only puts more children in danger.

The allegations against Anthony and Bowman have to do with the prostitution and sale of victims who are under age. Wichita and Kansas City may not seem like prime locations for this, but both of those cities feature networks of highways that connect to interstate routes that will quickly and easily take drivers almost anywhere in the United States. This provides not only an easy escape route, but a quick and practical way to move a kidnapped child out of the area before the police have even had the chance to refuse assistance to distraught parents on the grounds that they do not bother with "runaways". Despite the myth generated by law enforcement that runaway children are safe, runaways are prime targets for human trafficking. So are children with disabilities, latchkey children, and, statistically, bullying victims. Children who have been left behind after school activities by inattentive teachers are also prime targets. Yes, a guidance counselor in Frankfort, Kansas actually did this. The school tried to keep the incident quiet, and described the teacher as an "asset" to the school when the parents complained. The only way such a teacher could be an asset is if the school had arranged a "deal", involving a vulnerable child.

Of all the cities in the United States, Wichita, Kansas, is among the top five cities in the United States for the origination......that means recruiting and kidnapping.......of human trafficking. That is not a wonderful reason to be famous, Kansas. The guidance counselor in Frankfort never did explain why he left a fourteen year old girl by herself on the highway, four miles away from Frankfort. Some strangers stopped and gave her a ride back into town. The school board of USD 380 (Frankfort and Centralia) felt that Tom Schroeder's action of forcing a child to accept a ride from a stranger was appropriate, and he was told by an attorney not to respond to any questions about the incident. 

The Value Of Photo Recognition

Billy Hanson, nine years old, was supposed to return to his mother's house in Pennsylvania on September 4, after visiting his dad, Jeffrey Hanson, for awhile. Had he returned home on that date, he would have started school on time.....but guess what? Jeffrey Hanson decided to do something other than simply take his son home after his scheduled visitation was over. He sailed in his yacht, the Draco, to the tiny island of Niue, in the South Pacific, instead. How very sweet and sentimental.

Upon hearing that Mr. Hanson was an avid sailor, the FBI circulated pictures of Mr. Hanson, and his missing son, in some of the very places that Mr. Hanson loves to sail in his yacht. As luck would have it, someone on the small police force of the island of Niue got a tip from a citizen who had seen Mr. Hanson and Billy's picture and recognized them! Now, Jeffrey Hanson is home, in the United States, facing charges for international kidnapping and custodial interference. His yacht has been confiscated, and young Billy has had quite the adventure; definitely a superb "What I Did Last Summer" essay. It's too bad his father was too unconcerned about the start of a new school year to make sure Billy would be in school to write such a paper. Now, it looks as if Mr. Hanson will be visiting with his son via prison plexi-glass windows, if at all.

Never doubt that photo recognition, in missing persons cases, is a great tool, and never be nervous about calling in a tip, if you think you might have seen someone whose picture has been circulated by law enforcement. If you really have recognized a missing child, it's better, just in case you are right, to risk being mistaken and let authorities find out. It made an huge difference to Billy Hanson and his mother.

Advice To Hunters And Hikers

Hunters and hikers should always be aware of the possibility of finding evidence in a missing persons case. Kyron Horman has been missing in Oregon for over four years, and Sarah and Jacob Hoggle were last seen in a part of Maryland where there are a lot of hiking trails and park land.

While We Are On The Subject Of Petitions

Maryland has a prisoner by the name of Timothy Conrad Phillips. Mr. Phillips took up residence in prison because he murdered two small children and pretended, at first, that he didn't do it. He was sentenced to twenty years for each murder, plus ten more years for the abuses that went hand in hand with the murders, but the sentences unfortunately run concurrent, rather than consecutive. He also has a parole hearing in January of 2015. If Mr. Phillips gets parole, he will have only served seventeen years of his sentence. Neither Amani Renee Robinson or Andre Michael Whitworth had a chance to reach the age of seventeen; why should Mr. Phillips reside somewhere outside of prison after only serving seventeen years?

There is a petition circulating now, requesting that probation not be granted to Timothy Conrad Phillips. You can peruse and sign it if you follow this link. Please sign it, and share it with everyone. It's time for all of us to stop hearing about this type of crime.

First Day Of School In Frankfort Kansas

School starts again tomorrow in Frankfort, Kansas, and; as promised, this story will appear again on this site, because the school here in Frankfort has not seen fit to come into compliance with safety standards observed by schools in other parts of Kansas, and has not come into compliance with federal law concerning the presence of weapons on school property, bullying, or student safety. The only change made is that credit shall be granted where it is due: the name of the errant and uncorrected guidance counselor who has been granted carte blanche to endanger children is Tom Schroeder.

Anyone who's listening, I will tell you a story. It's a true story, and it happened in October of 2009. Thankfully, it had a happy ending.

My oldest daughter used to be quite the avid cross country buff when she was thirteen years old. She was good at it, too. But one day, while she was at practice, and I was at home, just assuming that all was well, her coach drove past my house, stopping to talk to my eight year old son. Mr. Coach wanted to know if Mr. Eight Year Old had seen his older sister. Mr. Eight Year Old had not. No one had seen my daughter in over two hours. She was lost. Why was she lost? Because her coach had dropped her off by the side of a highway, four miles south of the town we live in, by herself, and just left her. It was part of cross country practice. No supervision. If she had been stung by a bee, had tripped and hurt herself, or had some other medical emergency, no one would have been there to help her. (at this juncture, you should know that I offered to volunteer to help with cross country, but since I do not attend a Christian church, my offer was rejected. The school staff thought it better to take chances with a child's safety in the way I just described) When my daughter realized that she did not know her way back, she started to wander on a side road, hoping it would bring her to a house, or another person. This area has a lot of commercial farms, and there were no houses or places my daughter could go to for help.

Back to my eight year old son.......Twenty minutes went by. While he did not realize the signifigance of his conversation with Mr. Cross County Coach, (also Mr. Guidance Counselor) he did realize that no one knew where his sister was, and it was getting later and later, and no one was looking for her. So he told me about it. I looked all over town, called all her friends, searched the school (why was the school left unlocked after everyone had gone home?) and finally started home to call the police, when a couple of senior boys drove up with my crying daughter in their car. It was still within a few minutes of when I found out she was missing, but this cross country coach had known all afternoon, and had not called the police, or spoken to me. Why? I guess whatever he cared about, it WASN'T my daughter. Well.........I actually DO care about my daughter. Nowhere else have I met a teacher that did NOT care, at least a little, about the children he teaches, but I think that is what the problem is with Mr. Cross Country Coach/ Guidance Counselor.

Suppose it was not young men from her school who found her, but a dangerous person? I have been told time and time again by the people who live in this small Kansas town that "those things don't happen here", and "there ARE no dangerous people here", but there was a sex offender whose address was within half a mile of where my daughter was abandoned. The police were quick to point that out, but the principal only argued his harmlessness as a sex offender with them and the school board is not worried about the incident.

My children no longer participate in cross country at their school. It isn't safe.

The Arch Nemesis Can't See The Forest For The Trees

What kind of priest seriously considers bankruptcy as a valid option to protect his diocese from having to pay damages in lawsuits because of unresolved child abuse cases that keep getting won in court by victims? Why; a Catholic priest, of course! Reverend John Nienstedt, Archnemesis of the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, truly feels that despite dozens of lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct of his priests, he "couldn't see the forest for the trees", and he refuses to resign.

Before this whole matter went public, the archbishop did not perceive any problems, despite the fact that his knowledge of Minneapolis priests was the same as it is now. This means that the real problem, as the reverend sees it, is that he is having to answer in court for the priests he failed to properly train, and that the matter is now known to the general public. Back when he enjoyed the luxury of private child abuse, Nienstedt had no problems.

This type of Christian church truly pushes limits. It seems that when Catholic priests are not busy telling victims of domestic violence to apologize to their abusers, they are telling victims of hate crimes that the violence is all their fault......after all, if the victim had never been Black, Spanish, female, disabled, Pagan, Jewish, Muslim, ect., the hate crime never would have been committed! Surely the victim should "take ownership" for being different in some way or other that offended the perpetrator! Merely obeying the laws and being upstanding is obviously not good enough; we must all work harder to make the bigots happy, so they don't lash out! Ain't that right, Reverend Patrick Sullivan? And it appears that those children should all work harder at not being children, because it's all their fault that they are vulnerable, and as long as that's the case, a priest is naturally expected to take advantage of vulnerability, rather than act like a decent human being. It's never the church or the priest's fault. If the perpetrator is politically or financially better off than the victim, it's always the victim's fault when abuse takes place.

Of course, another perspective would be that Archbishop John Nienstedt should be responsible and neuter his priests.

Anonymous To Huntsville Alabama Police

This video was made because police in Huntsville, Alabama reportedly told paramedics, after arresting a seventeen year old child, and apparently after handcuffing him, pepper spraying him, and battering his one hundred and fifty pound frame, that he had swallowed evidence during the arrest. When paramedics attempted to induce vomiting, they found nothing, so police proceeded to ram a sharp object down the child's throat, killing him.

After the undersheriff of Marshall County, Kansas gave permission to assault and batter a targeted victim, it appears that law abiding citizens have a war of sorts on their hands with the very agents we formerly trusted to serve and protect. Missing children, hate crimes, and sexual violence against children do not appear to be important to Kansas and it's judicial system. They have an agenda that is not in the best interest of the general public.

Georgia Republican Wants Poor Children To Work As Janitors

Republicans want child labor again. And guess whose children they want to force to do menial tasks, instead of attending classes? The children of poor people, of course! Jack Kingston, (R) Georgia thinks that any child who qualifies for the national school lunch program should perform janitorial duties at school. So much for privacy and confidentiality....any child pushing a broom would obviously be from a financially disadvantaged family. Teachers who hate poverty stricken parents (yes, there definitely ARE such teachers, and they definitely DO take out their little angries on children sometimes) and bullies who look for victims would have new and reliable information about who has enough financial clout to hire legal representation and fight the resulting harassment and discrimination in court. Just what our schools need right now.......more division! Also, just what underprivileged children need; new reasons to feel shamed and humiliated because of circumstances over which they have no control. Who on earth would be so heartless?

When would the children of the poor get to study? The children who do not qualify for the school lunch program would have all the time they need to attend classes and study; none of their school day would be taken up in Jack Kingston's child labor program. This would naturally give the richer students an academic advantage over the financially less advantaged. What would happen if a child needed extra help or tutoring, and the schedule conflicted with that all important janitorial work? Or if the bus schedule conflicted with the Republicans' child labor program?

Republicans like Jack Kingston are quite willing to not only step all over the constitutional rights of children, but dismantle every educational advantage America offers children through public school. From all appearances, the ultimate goal is to take education away from the poor. Is this a direction America should really consider?

 

Update On The Man With The Tacky Chair

On Tuesday, the FBI asked for help identifying the owner of the ugly chair, or John Doe 27, as he is called by law enforcement. His work, specifically child pornography, has been identified online. Now, thanks to the general public, social networking, neighborhood gossips, and the first amendment, the FBI thinks the information given generously to them may have actually helped. They think this guy, with his horrid taste in home décor and his criminal taste in entertainment, may be somewhere in the Midwest, hiding out among republicans, fundamentalist christians, and the like. Until more definitive developments arise in the investigation, there will probably be no more updates or comments from the FBI.

How long should it take to expose this man to furniture inside jail cells, instead of tacky checkered chairs? Quite a few of us are interested in the answer to that question.

 

No Amber Alert If A Frankfort Kansas Child Disappears

Kansas public schools, particularly the one in Frankfort, have yet another serious safety issue, in addition to the lack of insurance on their buildings and activities, thanks to the legalization of guns carried by teachers in Kansas schools as of July of this year. Because of the government shutdown, the Amber Alert website is offline. Apparently, notifying the public when a child has been wrongfully taken via automobile is not considered essential by our elected, trusted servants in Congress and the Senate!

It is hard to imagine what this means in Frankfort, Kansas, where it is considered business as usual for teachers to abandon students on the highway and refuse to report them missing when they get lost and disappear. This means that at the end of the school day, when the child does not come home, alerts will not be shared with motorists, or even on the news, to help the public recognize any vehicle that may have been involved; when a child is lost, sometimes he or she will accept a ride from a stranger, hoping to get found again. This was actually done to female freshman in recent years, and she was very lucky to make it home. What about the Frankfort student who is not so lucky?

Kansas public schools take too many chances with the safety of children already. In Frankfort, where the teacher who "lost" the student still works, an Amber Alert could mean the difference between coming home safely if lost, or having a permanently open missing persons case. Perhaps it would be wise, if the teacher who abandons children on the highway seriously cannot be fired for his crimes, to at least furlough him along with other casualties of the government shutdown, until the Amber Alert website is back online.
 

Enroll A Child In School With No birth Certificate

Want to know where you can still enroll a child in school with no birth certificate, despite federal law, requiring that a school see a valid birth certificate prior to enrollment? Frankfort, in Frankfort Kansas will do this for you! Actually, you do not necessarily even need to prove that you have legal custody of a child, or that you are, indeed, one of the child's parents in order to enroll! Dean Dalinghaus, the principal at Frankfort, is so bent on harvesting all the dollars he can harvest for enrolling as many children as possible, while providing as little classroom instruction as possible, that he will enroll anyone under four feet tall! He will probably enroll dogs, cats, and parakeets if he can find inactive social security numbers or other identities for them!

I wonder which class Frankfort found for this new student.
