Kris Kobach In Contempt Of Court

The Honorable Julie Robinson, of the Kansas Supreme Court, a George W. Bush appointee, has held the Kansas secretary of state, Kris Kobach, in contempt of court because he failed to allow some American citizens residing in Kansas to vote. Kris Kobach does not approve of voters who turn in their voter registration cards at local DMV stations, (actually, Kobach is merely worried that voters of races other than white will not be properly harassed and discouraged from voting if they register at DMV's or by mail, but his actions are unlawful for either reason) and prefers that the very same cards bearing the very same information be mailed to other government agencies, instead. He also maintains that a birth certificate is evidence of citizenship, even though citizenship can be changed without the issuance of new birth certificates. Judge Robinson ordered Kobach to mail postcards to all voters affected by his denial of the right to vote, and to register each one, but Kobach failed to obey her order. As of yesterday, he is in contempt of court. Kris Kobach is planning to run for governor of Kansas. Are the people in Kansas stupid enough to vote for someone with a criminal record, such as the one now enjoyed by Kris Kobach?

A Kansas Racist Pig

Geesh! How is it that so many white Kansans actually claim the moral high ground while their white police officers threaten others? In this case, the white police officer got on Facebook and threatened a woman and child whom he had never met! Neither of the victims live in Kansas or know the police officer. Actually, he's a former police officer. He's been fired, but not arrested.

Kansas media was very slow to release the name of the former officer. Mostly, no pictures of him are available, except pictures that have been culled from Facebook. His name is Rodney Lee Wilson, and his picture is on the left.

If Rodney Lee Wilson had not been a white police officer, one can be sure that the media in Kansas would have plastered his name and picture everywhere. In the current culture and political climate of Kansas, it is really rather surprising that he lost his job because of his unprofessional behavior.

Anonymous To Ferguson

Anonymous has postulated a suggestion that all the ado and delays, such as stalling about disclosing the name of the offending officer to completely militarizing Ferguson, Missouri; was really a pathetic attempt to buy more time in order to come up with a really good excuse and story to explain why a white cop would shoot another unarmed black teenager. Sounds logical to me. How many times do they want to sell this theme? Michael Brown was shot because a police officer and a police force thought there should not be a problem with killing him. He was not a robbery suspect, and did not have a criminal record. He wasn't even "in the wrong place at the wrong time".

Hopefully, authorities in the Midwest will start to understand what they are doing when they pull the pendulum of racism and violence so far in one direction that when it is released, it cannot help but swing an equal distance in the opposite direction.

Kansas Gives Teacher Permission To Assault

According to Eyewitness News 12, a Kansas teacher and foster parent named Noble Rick Pendland was charged with sex crimes against three children, but the court accepted pleas to assault on the three charges, instead. His name does not appear in the sex offender registry, or even the violent offender registry. Each sentence is six months, eighteen months in total; and because he was held for over eighteen months in lieu of bond, his sentence was time served. He is no longer allowed to serve as a foster parent or a teacher, though.

How backwards can Kansas possibly be? Pendland should at least be required to register in the violent offender registry, so that parents have access to his dossier when he teaches Sunday School or decides to become a priest! And telling him not to teach is useless because he does not need a teaching license to work as a para. He will probably move to Marshall County Kansas and find employment immediately at Frankfort!

A Little Friendly Terrorism?

Terry Loewen not only had an effect on criminal law in Kansas when he attempted to bomb an airport in Wichita this past December; he also changed civil law. As a result of his antics, the House Corrections and Juvenile Justice Committee will hear a bill that will, if it becomes law, allow victims to sue convicted terrorists for damages in civil court. It will enable victims to recover up to three times their losses, or ten thousand dollars, whichever is greater. The definition of "terrorism" still appears to be a bit vague, however. It's a word that gets thrown around a lot, these days.

The mother of a boy at Frankfort High School, in Kansas, got very angry with yours truly, once upon a time, for refusing to allow her sons to spend time alone with my daughters in a bedroom of their house. The Pagan discipline followed by my family
embraces the making of careful choices in sexual relationships and contrasts rather sharply with the Midwestern Christian open acceptance of sexual exploitation among high school students. The mother rightfully felt ashamed of the way she had brought up her sons, yet she could not bring herself to simply admit it. Instead, she waited until she had a moment alone with my oldest daughter, (this took place at the school.....a conversation with an adult that should NOT have taken place at school with my daughter) and told her that I am a "terrorist", because she "felt terrorized" when I informed her of what local young people do in her house behind her back. The conversation she and I had did not take place at either of our homes, and was caught on surveillance, so my daughter was able to see that I did not "terrorize" anyone, and was actually quite subdued about the whole exchange, given the matter at hand. The faithful member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort Kansas was merely attempting to harm the relationship between my daughter and myself. How very Christian.

A few months later, those very boys drove an SUV on my lawn, grazed my porch, and proceeded into the neighbor's lawn, almost driving through her picture window into her living room. They did this multiple times. Law enforcement was unconcerned until they nearly hit two small children. Each time, my lawn was where the vandalism was focused. It finally resulted in a formal "no trespass" order for these two Christian young men; they will be arrested if they return. The use of a vehicle to scare my family and tear up lawns and porches was definitely meant to frighten and "terrorize". Would this be the intent recognized by the local court? Probably not, as police almost didn't bother with the problem. Yet, when the mother of these two monsters "felt terrorized" after a simple conversation, she howled and cried about it to my daughter, and a whole town is supposed to feel sorry for her because she was "terrorized" by someone who is not a Christian!

Meanwhile, lawns, gardens, trees, bushes, windows, bricks, siding, doors, ect., can all add up, monetarily. Ten thousand dollars may only be a mere drop in a bucket. The suit for "terrorism damages" would probably have to be filed separately from the suit for all the other damages. The damage done to my children by this woman's unfortunate mouth cannot be tallied, sadly, as cannot the loss of human life, should the Catholic Christian mother never get around to teaching her sons not to terrorize others.

So Police Smash Security Cameras On Houses Now?

So many questions, yet answers within a few days, after a little investigative journalism. Police in Ankeny, Iowa got a complaint about stuff bought on a stolen credit card. For reasons that have not been fully explained, they felt very strongly that the culprits could be found in Des Moines. So off to Des Moines they went, in full swat team attire. When they landed on their targeted doorstep, a member of the horde ripped out a camera. Then, they proceeded to break down the door without knocking. Inside, they discovered two guests, whom they forthwith arrested, but no stolen credit card or stolen property. When the homeowner returned, wanting to know why they rampaged her home, they lied and told her they knocked politely first. Unfortunately for the law enforcement horde, one camera was left functioning.

I

A press conference was held a day or two later, during which Ankeny police defended the actions of the badged vandals. It was stated that violent people with criminal pasts lived in the home, but that, too, was a lie. A middle aged woman lives there with her son, who was recently honorably discharged from the Army. One of the two guests had once been charged with theft, but as the charge was dismissed, that does not count as a criminal past. So violence was used against innocent people and their property was destroyed by law enforcement. The press conference did not address the broken camera, or why the police minded appearing on film, and the reason why Ankeny police executed a warrant in Des Moines was also not revealed. But that's okay; once again, the press to the rescue. It seems that a former Ankeny officer by the name of Curtis Pote had experienced the theft of his wallet, and decided, possibly for reasons of a personal nature, that it MUST have been the young man who was a guest in the home that was raided. So instead of going through the proper channels to recover or replace his stolen property, as the rest of us would be obliged to do, he called on his former horde-mates at arms in Ankeny and asked them for a personal favor! But he doesn't feel, at all, that his complaint received any special treatment. (eye-rolley here)

In the future, cameras at the home of yours truly will be placed more strategically. The owners of the home that got raided for nothing will probably take similar action.

Kansas Lunatics Encourage Hitchhiking

How thrilling. We now have a group of brilliant and wonderful individuals in Lawrence, Kansas, who want the city council to legalize hitchhiking within city limits. A non profit group called Lawrence Onboard would like hitchhiking to become an accepted mode of transportation within pre-established parameters, such as background checks and registration of drivers with City Hall, and hitchhikers carrying large signs announcing destinations. The registered driver would stop and pick up the hitchhiker, if possible. Bumper stickers announcing the connection to Lawrence Onboard would also be available. Any bad drivers or bad riders could be reported, and the whole idea could become reality with no problems whatsoever. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it?

I don't know what non-profit groups smoke for breakfast in Lawrence, but some of the folks at Lawrence Onboard obviously need to establish a working relationship with Reality. City Hall is actually going to employ a person whose job will be to conduct background checks on would-be ride givers and keep tabs on the state of hitchhiking in Lawrence? Sure, no problems there! Anyone with bad intentions yet no existing criminal record can pass a background check. A driver with a serious drinking problem, but no DWI's or accidents yet, can also pass a background check. There are also criminals who have records, but still pass background checks for reasons ranging from identity theft to incompetence of the person running the background check. And what if the boogieman steals or borrows the car of a legitimate Lawrence Onboard driver? It's not a risk for which I would want responsibility, and it's not a risk I would take.

There really is no way of keeping track of hitchhikers via background checks. The number of people who need rides from day to day in any city is always going to fluctuate. A would-be rider can get information from City Hall and carry a sign with a destination written on it, but that does not confer safety in allowing strangers into one's vehicle. This idea may seem innocuous at the surface, but it is really an engraved invitation to criminals. Finding vulnerable victims through a program that sanctions hitchhiking might even be easier than luring victims through networks like Craigslist! There isn't always a way to be sure if a hitchhiker is carrying a weapon or not, and once you accept a ride and get into someone's car, you have no control over where that car travels.

Sanctioned hitchhiking a`la Lawrence Onboard is truly one of the worst ideas I've heard lately. It carries a great deal of potential to perpetuate all kinds of crime, from petty theft to murder. Hopefully, the city of Lawrence will simply tell the folks of Lawrence Onboard that carpooling and vanpooling is a much safer, and legal alternative.

Update On The Man With The Tacky Chair

On Tuesday, the FBI asked for help identifying the owner of the ugly chair, or John Doe 27, as he is called by law enforcement. His work, specifically child pornography, has been identified online. Now, thanks to the general public, social networking, neighborhood gossips, and the first amendment, the FBI thinks the information given generously to them may have actually helped. They think this guy, with his horrid taste in home décor and his criminal taste in entertainment, may be somewhere in the Midwest, hiding out among republicans, fundamentalist christians, and the like. Until more definitive developments arise in the investigation, there will probably be no more updates or comments from the FBI.

How long should it take to expose this man to furniture inside jail cells, instead of tacky checkered chairs? Quite a few of us are interested in the answer to that question.

We're Off To See The Wizard

♫The wonderful Wizard of Oz♪♪♪
♫Because, because, because, ♪because, ♫becaaaaaaaaaauuuuse♪♪♪♪♪♪
♫Because of the............?

Hmmm. Why is that, Terri Horman? Why are you off to see the Wizard, or Steve Houze, for your divorce and familial problems, when he clearly states on his website that he is, exclusively, a criminal defense attorney? What's up with that?

The judge actually summoned you to show up in person, this time. You surprised a lot of people just by being there! But did you decide to tell the truth? If you just clear up whatever was indicating deception, back in 2010, when you were polygraphed because no one could find your stepson, Kyron Horman, everyone will probably get off your back and leave you alone, and Kaine might even let you have whatever you want in the divorce settlement. Except Kiara; you probably won't get your own way inasmuch as Kiara is concerned.

It's just a thought, Terri. Most of us don't have local prosecutors petitioning family law court for the right to officially horn in and become de facto parties in our divorces! Just click your heels together three times and tell the truth!

Happy Birthday, Stetson Kennedy

Stetson Kennedy was born on October 5, 1916 in Florida. He was, in addition to being a writer and researcher of folklore, a human rights activist. The latter actually began as a means of research, in order to write about the Ku Klux Klan, which he infiltrated after World War ll, in a successful effort to gain information. From this research and information, he authored the titles, Southern Exposure, and The Klan Unmasked. He also gave information about the Klan to comic book writers, who used it in creating villians to be defeated by Superman. Anonymous hackers would have been proud.

This method of infiltrating, researching, then finally exposing is what shedding light is all about. Stetson Kennedy infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in Georgia at a time when that hate group controlled Southern politics, and heavily influenced Northern politics. When he felt that he had enough information to address the public about who the Klan actually is and what they do, he went ahead and exposed them, nothing withheld. He wasn't worried about keeping anyone's secrets, hiding anyone's incompetence, or covering up anyone's criminal predilections. This not only what makes his writing great, but what makes the First Amendment great. Stetson dared to tell the world what he saw firsthand, and our Constitution allowed him to do so, even when it meant blowing the whistle on some very powerful terrorists.

Kennedy died in 2011, after a lifetime of publishing books and articles about folklore, activism, and human rights. He was richly rewarded by following his passion, and not many people believed the social strata of the United States, before the Civil Rights Movement, would ever change. He was never terribly clear on whether or not he thought he would see change at the time he wrote about the Klan, but the efforts of political activists and counter culture revolutionaries paid off. We need more writers like Stetson Kennedy.

Reason Number One For Consolidation Of Kansas Schools

Kansas never ceases to amaze me with it's stupidity. The public schools in Kansas are not consolidated, which means that each "unified district" has a local school board that is not answerable to state or national standards, or to the state or federal authority, and can force any decision they please on children and parents, be it lawful or not. They can even hire sex offenders and kidnappers if they choose! We now have a Sedgwick County former coach, who was caught in an internet sting, attempting to solicit sex from a fifteen year old, demanding his job as a high school football coach back! Unfortunately, Todd Puetz (it really should be Todd Putz) was allowed to plead guilty to the lesser charge of soliciting sex from a prostitute, and now, since he was not convicted of more serious sex offenses or required to register as a sex offender, his lawyer says he is "entitled" to his job as a high school football coach, and is fighting to somehow force the local school board to engrave him another invitation to endanger children!

Most of us would find this whole request, and the obvious best response......telling Mr. Puetz that he need not apply again.......to be a no brainer. After all, he was fired immediately after his arrest for sex offenses, the local school board did not wait for the trial or the disposition of the charges. As Kansas law does not guarantee a person a job in the event that his services are no longer relevant, and his contract violation(no abusing or molesting children) was proven by his admission of guilt, even though he made a plea in court to a lesser charge, there is a tradition in the unconsolidated, unified school districts of Kansas of covering up the misdeeds of teachers and coaches, and telling the victims to go to hell, because they don't matter. At the other end of the state, in Marshall County, a guidance counselor at Frankfort High still collects taxpayer dollars to endanger children by dropping them off by themselves along highways. The parent who almost had a heart attack over it was told by her local school board that this should not be a cause for concern. If schools in Kansas were consolidated, the laws against child endangerment would need to be followed at each and every public school, and there would be no local school boards protecting political favorites. A thug, such as the guidance counselor in Frankfort, would not be allowed to continue employment in a public school. In fact, the school's insurance should not be allowed to cover this employee any more than an auto insurance policy can be written to cover a driver with fifty DWI's. Child abuse is child abuse, and this guidance counselor committed child abuse and got away with it because Kansas school boards are unsupervised and do not answer to the state. They only answer to themselves. If they do not care about a particular child who has been abused by a teacher, they will generally not lift a finger to stop the abuse. Kudos to the school board who will not offer Todd Puetz his job again. This is an amazing change of pace for Kansas.

Most Kansans fight tooth and nail against consolidation of their schools. Brown v. the Board of Education in 1956 was quite a shock for the quietly prejudiced white population of Kansas, and keeping schools unconsolidated is quite likely a deliberate attempt to continue to keep schools as racially and culturally segregated as possible. Unfortunately, unified districts also have a lot of latitude to violate almost any law when running Kansas schools.

Government Sponsored Crime

This is Cynthia McKinney, D-Georgia, asking Donald Rumsfeld some very pointed questions, back in 2006. Rumsfeld, and et els, evaded her questions. McKinney, however, represents her constituents, not any business or government agency; so she continued to seek answers to the hard questions she posed, mainly about human trafficking and child trafficking by government agencies, and allowed all of us to see how difficult it can be to get an answer from Big Brother on the criminal activities he "sponsors". Now here's a question for you: where do you think the government would obtain all of those trafficked children? Keep in mind, stranger abductions of children are actually rare, so, just how would government agencies acquire enough children and adults to fuel the amount of human trafficking that has been recently publicized? This site will address the subject again with more ideas and statistics in the near future.

Subornation Of Perjury

What happens, oh Marshall County Kansas prosecutor, when you know, for a fact, that the testimony you have "developed" and presented is materially false? If the witness you pressure and abuse in such a manner happens to be underage, are you contributing to the delinquency of a minor? You probably would not get charged with same, but you could, possibly, still face criminal charges for perjury; if, perchance, you did such a thing. This might actually be quite serious in your case, given your position. Not that there is a civil course of action one can easily find in Kansas for this...only criminal. Does that mean that in addition to losing your license to practice law, you could go to jail? And if you went to jail, would anyone in your personal acquaintance actually miss you?

In addition to being a bottom feeder, have you always been a bully, Laura McNish?

A Letter To Kansas Superintendant About A School Staff That Favors Criminals Over Decent People

For the sake of documentation, I always publish my letters to the superintendant of my childrens' school. That makes documentation easy to obtain at a moment's notice, and it's also an interesting snapshot of how schools are run in Northeast Kansas. I have attempted to protect such information as whole names or proper nouns.

Dear Mr. FXXX,
Yesterday, at school, my daughter, RXXX, had an interaction with another student, SXXX, that required an incident report. SXXX had an injury to his leg that was healing, and RXXX noticed a scab and asked him about it. He asked her what she was talking about, and she touched the scab. He winced, and then claimed that he had reinjured himself. Mrs. XXXX did not think that the incident was worthy of an indicent report at first, and knew that RXXX was not attempting to harm SXXX, so she let it go. Later, that evening, while I was driving home from elsewhere in this town, I noticed that a vehicle was following me. When I parked in front of my house, SXXX's mother, Janet HXXX, stopped in the middle of the road for a minute, and then pulled in front of my van and parked her car. She and SXXX got out, and proceeded to hollar, blame, cry fake tears, and told me that RXXX should "have to go to court" because it was her fault he winced and got hurt. I asked for documentation, and they had none. I told them that the conversation was over, and they stayed and continued to yell. I went inside, and called Mrs. XXXX and got her version of events, which is what I think Janet HXXX should have done. If she was upset enough to seek me out after school was over for the day, why did not Dean DXXX or Tom SXXX handle it, and if truly necessary, call me to the school and discuss it there with RXXX, Janet, SXXX, and myself? Leaving Janet to the wind was wrong; she should have had recourse to the school. If she did have recourse to the school officials yet chose to harass me anyway, then she committed a crime, and I will follow up on it.

I spoke with Sheriff Dan HXXXX this afternoon about my encounter with her. He told me he would visit her and tell her to leave me alone. Yet, when I went to see my daughters in the school play tonight, she was there! Why? I asked Dianna YXXX and Tom SXXX what the procedures are when the sheriff tells someone to stay away from someone else, and I am the injured party here......she's the one who came to me wanting to harass me, not the other way around. Tom SXXX yelled at me and denied any responsibility and Dianna YXXX told me that she called the sheriff herself and was told that Dan and I never talked. I called the police on my cell phone (she would not let me use the school phone) and they told me that they did not tell her that. The police have no reason to tell me something that isn't true, so as far as I'm concerned, I was lied to by Dianna YXXX. Tom SXXX does have a measure of responsibility for incidents such as the one that happened between RXXX and SXXX, and his behavior was unprofessional. Dianna YXXX also told me that Janet told her that she never even confronted me about the incident, and that I was lying. I guess it's easy to get away with things like that when documentation does not take place. Once again, I do not fault Mrs SXXX for not writing an incident report because she didn't think it was necessary, but if a parent was as upset as Janet was last night, wanting to blame me, even though I was nowhere near the school when it happened, why didn't Dean call me to talk to me and RXXX at the same time about it? Someone did a crappy job of handling the whole thing, and it wasn't me.

Because Janet harassed and stalked me, I intend to follow it up with the police. I would really appreciate it if your school personnel would keep their opinions that I am "a bad person", or that "what I said wasn't true" to themselves. Also, if I get a restraining order against her, or if the sheriff tells her to leave me alone, I think I should be the one to be able to enjoy sharing my childrens' education with them, while she leaves me alone. I think the school should be more concerned with protecting me, since she was willing to harass me after school hours without any documentation of what happened. I don't think anyone should blame me for being upset, and if they do, I think they should keep it to themselves. I do not drive to peoples' houses and scare them, she does. Please remind everyone to keep their obvious and unwarrented disrespect for me under wraps. My children are starting to notice, and I am tired of it.

I deserve an apology from Tom SXXX for the way he spoke to me, and since he did it in public, perhaps he should apologize in public.

Stuff Not To Do In Court

This girl thought it was somehow in good taste to flip the bird at a Florida magistrate judge. He held her in contempt, and gave her thirty days in jail. Her public defender probably got the sentence reduced...but still.....wouldn't it have been easier to just keep the fingers unextended long enough to get bailed out of jail?

The only other person whom I have actually seen in the act of flipping the bird at a judge was my ex husband, during a hearing about a restraining order. The subject of child support came up, and when he was told how much he should pay every month, he extended his policeman finger to the judge. So she upped the amount, and kept doing so until he calmed down. Later on, he got the same judge for a criminal matter. She threw the book at him then, too.

The Book Of Trolls

There are three demographic "types" I bust on here in Siri's World: Republican politicians, Christian religious fanatics, and violent criminals, especially those who harm children. The reason I enjoy picking on Christian fundamentalists so much is because, not only is their religous text, the bible, badly mistranslated in many ways, but even the "Christ" archtype is misunderstood by most American Christians and the associated piety is almost always misapplied. Then, these people preach to me about who I should vote for, or where I should go to church, or what I should teach my children. The thing is, I already have a religion, and it isn't Christianity. I can, and do, teach my children anything I choose. There is nothing that a Christian fundalmentalist can offer me in terms of lifestyle that I need. I do not wish to vote with them in a bloc, I do not wish to attend any of their churches, and I do not wish to hear about their interpretation of their badly mistranslated scriptures at the PUBLIC school my children attend. This is what the troll who sent me this comment fails to understand: I have a constitutional right to vote for whomever I please without harassment. I have a constitutional right to bring up my children as I choose without interference. My neighbors here in Northeast Kansas have overstepped the bounderies of the law and of my constitutional rights concerning those things on more than one occasion. Here's the comment:

"Because you proclaim to be a christian, but OBVIOUSLY have missed Sunday School, here are a few verses from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. Which if you check in the "Mormons" standard works, (their books of religious text), this is what WE use to study Christ's word. Matthew 7:1 Judge not that ye be not judged. Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. If you hate Mormons so much, and proclaim to be such a better person, why not turn the other cheek like Jesus tells you to do? Smile to them that wrong you? Why do you not confront them in person even? Why Ms. Julie? Why do you feel so much comfort in cowering away to your computer, speaking evil behind that Mormon ladies back, doing the same things you claim she does to you? And if you think you are better than the "racist" mormons, think again.".....Words from the Book of Trolls

First off, my Mormon sounding troll, I NEVER proclaimed to be a Christian, unless I did it during another lifetime, which brings me to my second point; of COURSE I missed Sunday School, because I am not a Christian. Third, I do not believe I compared myself favorably to Mrs. Mormon Lady, or stated that I was better at she; I simply stated that I wished she and Mitt Romney both felt that the laws applied to them as much as the laws apply to everyone else. I also fervently wished, while recovering from major illness, that I did not have to go outside, daily, in the snow, for about six months, and clean up the trash her dog strewed all over my yard. I don't think anyone would appreciate that. Other neighbors did not appreciate it, either. And yes I did confront Mrs. Mormon Lady in person. She screamed at me and slammed her door in my face. Apparently, if I am not Mormon, I do not deserve any curtesy at all. Did you not read my initial post?

As for the book of mormon being a legitimate scripture for a Christian, it ain't so. Read the last chapter of the book of Revelations in the New Testament of the REAL Bible. Saint John emphatically warns that it is blasphemy to add anything to the scriptures. That would, in the Christian world, include the book of mormon. And racism IS codified by the book of mormon, making it nothing short of an anathema to any religion or path of Light or Love.

I will hand over to some REAL Christians here, who can explain this much better than I can.

In Case You Slept Through Church This Sunday

In case you slept through church this Sunday, here's the dream you might have had:

Ok, ok. I'll post about something that really IS rooted in magical thinking. The notion that a sex offender or a violent criminal can just "get saved" and not be a dangerous person anymore is a fantasy. I have had a few comments that I simply refuse to post, in reaction to this post about Matthew Burton, the born-again Christian in Maryland who worked at his church and later got charged with murdering a woman. A woman who might still be alive if she had not trusted the "born-again" logic that some benevolent power will just "change" anyone's mentally ill or criminal leanings. It does not happen. To answer those comments, all at once, let me just say that this is where faith and wishful thinking and lies get very twisted up in each other, giving us the ugly result that is called upon in churches like this church. It is dangerous, and it should stop.
