That's right; you did not misread the title. There is no law in Topeka Kansas against public nudity, as long as one does not disrobe in the vicinity of a school. A guy was discovered naked in Topeka a couple of days ago, and while he is in a psych ward now, he will not be arrested.
The police thought the naked guy might be on drugs. Perhaps. According to Chuck Haggard, of the Topeka Police, "“Running around naked is a very common thing to occur for people who are in a drug-induced excited delirium,” he said. “We have way more naked people than you have any idea.”
That's interesting, but yours truly would like to know where all the naked people are when she visits Topeka, and why she misses all the cool and apparently legal stuff!
Chuck Haggard further states that "The man, whose identity wasn’t released, was said to be in stable condition as of 8 p.m. Wednesday." What remains unclear is if the man was clothed as of 8 PM Wednesday.

If I'm ever in the market for a naked, mentally unbalanced man I'll drop by.
Drop by the Equality House; http://equalityhouse.org/, when you do! It's directly across the street from Westboro Baptist Church!
Kansas, like much of America, only prohibits human bodies with intent to arouse sexual feelings, or to cause affront or alarm to someone else. Human being are not illegal per-se. Even that is less FREEDOM than nations such as Spain enjoy. America is not the land of the free any more. Everyont thinks that the government should own and rule our whole lives.
I understand you in theory, but dang.....what about my right not to see all that flab? Kansas is mostly second and third generation Germanic types with tiny you-know-whats and high carbohydrate diets. Don't you think the rest of us have rights, too?
If you don't want to see you have the right to turn your head. Nudist people shouldn't have to be the only one's to give up their rights.
Good post.Never knew this, thank you for letting me know.
