If you didn't make it to church on Sunday, you missed Easter Sunday, the day when all the Christians pretend that Easter has something to do with them! the real Easter is over; it's actual date coincides with the Vernal Equinox. The bunnies, eggs, and chicks are symbols of fertility. Be careful how your youth pastor celebrates this occasion with your children.

Kansas And It's Uses Of Foster Children
On Changing Kansas, there is a post dated March 24, concerning the Protective Parent Act, which would enable foster children to file formal complaints about abuses and violations of their rights which take place while they are in custody of foster parents or other designated custodians. This would give foster children and their natural parents recourse in situations involving sexual predators who are given custody of foster children, such as Noble Rick Pendland. Many parents complained about him over the last decade, but since their children had been taken from them, their complaints were tossed into the circular file. Some of these children were sodomized, (Pendland's apparent abuse of choice) and injured in other ways, but denied legal recourse and medical treatment. No one in Kansas cared, and Kansas lawmakers still don't care, as evidenced by their resistance to passing the Protective Parent Act. Noble Rick Pendland is in jail in Cowley County, awaiting trial, by the way.
What does Kansas have to gain by refusing the rights of foster children and their natural parents? An alarming number of foster children are on drug regimens that are either experimental, or not approved for children. These very children are often the subjects of pharmaceutical experimentation. A "ward of the court" who has unwittingly become a subject in a drug experiment may find that there are other considerations, besides the fitness of his parents, to his reunification with his parents. What a way for Kansas to make money! Don't believe this? Here's a sample from Kansas Statutes, Chapter 38, Article 22.
(d) When the court retains jurisdiction after appointment of a permanent custodian, the court, in its order, may impose limitations or conditions upon the rights and responsibilities of the permanent custodian including, but not limited to, the right to:
(1) Determine contact with the biological parent; (2) consent to marriage; (3) consent to psychosurgery, removal of a bodily organ or amputation of a limb; (4) consent to sterilization; (5) consent to behavioral and medical experiments; (6) consent to withholding life-prolonging medical treatment; (7) consent to placement in a treatment facility; or (8) consent to placement in a psychiatric hospital or an institution for the developmentally disabled.
Looking closely at (3), (4), (5), and (6), the notion that social services can drop in on an unsuspecting parent whose child happens to possess a physical trait that is of current interest to drug companies conducting experiments on persons with said trait, and generate a reason that may or may not be factual to remove the child, then turn the child over to foster care or other circumstances wherein involuntary drug experiments can be conducted is a bit unsettling. Yours truly has guardianship of a child with medical problems, and this child was once on many drugs. We found a doctor who is truly interested in medicine, and, one by one, the drugs were permanantly removed from this child's life. Now he is much healthier, and no one really knows why all of the drugs were prescribed in the first place. The drugs certainly did not play a productive role. The very idea, as in (6), that a court or a caretaker can actually withhold life-prolonging medical treatment to a child is chilling. Changing Kansas makes a very serious and valid point concerning the rights of children who are wards of the court.

It's Good Friday, Here's Cardinal Napier's Message
Happy Good Friday, Christians. How come none of you are talking about this recent statement, made by Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier, Achbishop of Durban: "From my experience, pedophilia is actually an illness. It's not a criminal condition, it's an illness." As a public relations measure, he has since apologized for voicing his opinion out loud, but does anyone see how and why an institution run by clerics who condone abuse might be a dangerous place for children?
If, in the Cardinal's opinion, pedophilia is actually an illness, why not quarentee everyone who has that illness in prison cells? And what about the victims? The Cardinal very obviously does not care at all about the victims. Christianity, as a whole, does not care either. That's why people like Cardinal Napier have been allowing, excusing, and promoting Christian sex abuse ever since the days of Constantine.

Sometimes A Mop Sink Is Just A Mop Sink
Once again, it seems to be the end of the world as we know it. A mop sink in the capitol building in Tennessee was mistaken by some very good Christians for a footbath! It seems that there were some grave concerns about the availability of water, with which Muslims wishing to pray could wash their feet prior to doing so. How dare anyone accomodate prayer in the routine of the faithful in any religion besides Christianity? After all, Christian ministers do not even have to wash up after sexual abuse of minors before prayer! Why should other religions get special preference?
If a person understands his or her need to back away from physical or emotional strata that creates enough imbalence to require ritual or literal "purification" prior to prayer, why does a Christian have a complaint? Is it wrong to humbly seek peace from a higher power? Perhaps Tennessee Christians could learn from the Muslim practice, and be more mindful of certain types of filth, such as sexual abuse, both before and after they recite their Christian prayers. Perhaps they could stop stereotyping the adherants of other religions, as well.
Will society come to a screeching halt if people wash their feet more often?

Kansas Authorities And Media Dropped The Ball On Tyler Wilson
Tyler Wilson has been missing from eastern Kansas since early January of this year, and I just heard about his case tonight. In fact, when I tried to find it in Kansas or national media sources, to reference it, I could find nothing. NCMEC has him listed as an endangered runaway, but as he is only fourteen, I think two and a half months are an awfully long time for a "runaway" situation. Please share his picture.

Here's is the definition of "terrorism", according to your current state and mine,
"21-5421. Terrorism. (a) Terrorism is the commission of, the attempt to commit,
the conspiracy to commit, or the criminal solicitation to commit any felony with
the intent to:
(1) Intimidate or coerce the civilian population;
(2) influence government policy by intimidation or coercion; or
(3) affect the operation of any unit of government.
(b) Terrorism or attempt, conspiracy or criminal solicitation to commit terrorism is an off-grid person felony.
(c) The provisions of subsection (c) of K.S.A. 2011 Supp. 21-5301, and amendments thereto, shall not apply to a violation of attempting to commit the crime of terrorism pursuant to this section. The provisions of subsection (c) of K.S.A. 2011 Supp. 21-5302, and amendments thereto, shall not apply to a violation of conspiracy to commit the crime of terrorism pursuant to this section. The provisions of subsection (d) of K.S.A. 2011 Supp. 21-5303, and amendments thereto, shall not apply to a violation of criminal solicitation to commit the crime of terrorism pursuant to this section."
The next time you open your big, fat mouth and accuse me of something, especially to my children, be ready to validate your statements in reality. In fact, no one terrorized your silly ass. All anyone did was ask you to supervise your children and stop allowing your home to be used as a brothel.
By the way, here is how Kansas defines stalking:
"21-5427. Stalking. (a) Stalking is:
(1) Recklessly engaging in a course of conduct targeted at a specific person which would cause a reasonable person in the circumstances of the targeted person to fear for such person's safety, or the safety of a member of such person's immediate family and the targeted person is actually placed in such fear;
(2) engaging in a course of conduct targeted at a specific person with knowledge that the course of conduct will place the targeted person in fear for such person's safety or the safety of a member of such person's immediate family; or
(3) after being served with, or otherwise provided notice of, any protective order included in K.S.A. 21-3843, prior to its repeal or K.S.A. 2011 Supp. 21-5924, and amendments thereto, that prohibits contact with a targeted person, recklessly engaging in at least one act listed in subsection (f)(1) that violates the provisions of the order and would cause a reasonable person to fear for such person's safety, or the safety of a member of such person's immediate family and the targeted person is actually placed in such fear."

To Chance Hartner, Renowned Cop In Northeast Kansas
Hey Hartner; how often do you visit the homes of teenage girls and tell them you will assist them in becoming emancipated minors? And why would you do this? Emancipated or not, a child is still technically not old enough to consume alcohol, and a child is still technically not old enough to "consent". And are you in the habit of making statements like this, "hey adkins how about i kill you if you get on my computer again" on sites like Facebook? You probably did not really mean it, but it was a careless thing to say.
Does this star bother you?

Maine Officials Upset Because Prison Guards Cannot Abuse In Secret Anymore
This video came from an article entitled Maine Officials Seeking Pepper-Spray Video Leak. It seems that a corrections officer at a prison in Windham named Shawn Welch, along with some cohorts, determined that donning protective gear and spraying pepper spray directly into the face of a restrained prisoner needing medical attention was appropriate. His boss fired him, but he appealed that decision, and the board of amusing people who run the prison decided to take him back after a thirty day suspension. Meanwhile, Maine officials are deeply concerned with who obtained and leaked footage of the incident to the public. Yep. That's a much, much bigger concern than any other matter here. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it?

A Symbol Of Love For Westboro Baptist Church
Awake Incorperated, which is associated with Planting Green, just gave Westboro Baptist Church something new to see. They purchased the house across the street from the church, and painted it in all the colors of the rainbow! The colorless, hateful, and prejudiced world of Kansas Christianity will have some balence flying in it's face now, and thanks to the photgraphic genious of Eric Ives, the pictures are available for all to see. That is one of his pictures at the left.

To Diana Younger Of Northeast Kansas
When you treated me like garbage the other night, and when you allowed the mother of immoral cretins to harass me, despite the sheriff's assurance that I am not required any interaction with her, you sided with someone who hosted a sexual assualt on one of my children. I did not hear about the incident until it was too late to get the police involved, but in view of the recent guilty verdicts for rape in Steubenville, Ohio, I think I should be more open with everyone about what and who you support. The female inhabitant of the house pictured below might be a better political choice of allies here in this fornicating Christian town, because she probably has the genetic feature of hinges on her thighs, after the manner of other women from this town, but you once raked me over the coals about how you have the right to preach your Christian religion to my children at school. If that's really the case, and you are really a Christian, you should not have been so kind and favorable to a woman who never supervises the children at her home and allows young girls to experience sexual assualt on her watch. For that reason, and because you lied to me about what the police told you on the phone about this woman, I am calling you a liar. Don't ever preach to me about your dumbass church again.
You know something, Diana? I am probably the only woman in this town who is not a Christian, and I am also probably the only mother of teenagers in this town whose children are not sexually active.
College Basketball Star Heroically Overcomes Tragic Rape He Committed
Lucky Kansas; Brian Davis Is Moving Back
Yippee. Brian Davis, who just finished serving seventeen years in Iowa for the murder of Julie Baack, who disappeared in 1992, and was found three years later, is going to live here, in Kansas. The court in Iowa expects him to obey the law from now on. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? And oh.....he was dating Julie Baack when she disappeared. That's him, on the left, ladies. He's probably going to be on a romance prowl soon; remember to give him a miss if he asks you out. Victory Baptist Church in Marysville, Kansas will probably help him find a place to live. Christians in Kansas have a tendency to like criminals better than they like people who abide by the law.

Savannah To The Rescue!
This video is so cute! I really hope Savannah's dad pulled through and recovered.
Baby Lisa Irwin's New Missing Poster
This is a brand new missing poster of little Lisa Irwin, who, at age ten months, disappeared on October 3, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri. Somehow, this effort and the choice of images seems a bit halfhearted, at best. Don't most parents of missing children try to include age progressed pictures, instead of pictures that would no longer resemble the child, should the child be living?

The Jesus Icon Strikes Again
Jack Schaap is a Christian minister from Hammond, Indiana, who recently joined the ranks of child molesting Christian pastors. His fifty-five year old body transported a fifteen year old girl to Wisconsin in order to make his abuse easier, and his family and church-friends are standing up for him while he begs the court to be lenient and not sentence him to ten years in prison! Ya know, this thing the Christians have going on, with ministers who like to have sexual relations with children, seems to have become quite the recurring theme of late. Yet not only is the sexual abuse a recurring theme; we also have these dingbat Christians who seem to prefer the criminals to decent people! Watching this video was interesting. It might even explain why Christians go to church. Funnier stuff than this is hard to find...........

A Letter To Kansas Superintendant About A School Staff That Favors Criminals Over Decent People
For the sake of documentation, I always publish my letters to the superintendant of my childrens' school. That makes documentation easy to obtain at a moment's notice, and it's also an interesting snapshot of how schools are run in Northeast Kansas. I have attempted to protect such information as whole names or proper nouns.
Dear Mr. FXXX,
Yesterday, at school, my daughter, RXXX, had an interaction with another student, SXXX, that required an incident report. SXXX had an injury to his leg that was healing, and RXXX noticed a scab and asked him about it. He asked her what she was talking about, and she touched the scab. He winced, and then claimed that he had reinjured himself. Mrs. XXXX did not think that the incident was worthy of an indicent report at first, and knew that RXXX was not attempting to harm SXXX, so she let it go. Later, that evening, while I was driving home from elsewhere in this town, I noticed that a vehicle was following me. When I parked in front of my house, SXXX's mother, Janet HXXX, stopped in the middle of the road for a minute, and then pulled in front of my van and parked her car. She and SXXX got out, and proceeded to hollar, blame, cry fake tears, and told me that RXXX should "have to go to court" because it was her fault he winced and got hurt. I asked for documentation, and they had none. I told them that the conversation was over, and they stayed and continued to yell. I went inside, and called Mrs. XXXX and got her version of events, which is what I think Janet HXXX should have done. If she was upset enough to seek me out after school was over for the day, why did not Dean DXXX or Tom SXXX handle it, and if truly necessary, call me to the school and discuss it there with RXXX, Janet, SXXX, and myself? Leaving Janet to the wind was wrong; she should have had recourse to the school. If she did have recourse to the school officials yet chose to harass me anyway, then she committed a crime, and I will follow up on it.
I spoke with Sheriff Dan HXXXX this afternoon about my encounter with her. He told me he would visit her and tell her to leave me alone. Yet, when I went to see my daughters in the school play tonight, she was there! Why? I asked Dianna YXXX and Tom SXXX what the procedures are when the sheriff tells someone to stay away from someone else, and I am the injured party here......she's the one who came to me wanting to harass me, not the other way around. Tom SXXX yelled at me and denied any responsibility and Dianna YXXX told me that she called the sheriff herself and was told that Dan and I never talked. I called the police on my cell phone (she would not let me use the school phone) and they told me that they did not tell her that. The police have no reason to tell me something that isn't true, so as far as I'm concerned, I was lied to by Dianna YXXX. Tom SXXX does have a measure of responsibility for incidents such as the one that happened between RXXX and SXXX, and his behavior was unprofessional. Dianna YXXX also told me that Janet told her that she never even confronted me about the incident, and that I was lying. I guess it's easy to get away with things like that when documentation does not take place. Once again, I do not fault Mrs SXXX for not writing an incident report because she didn't think it was necessary, but if a parent was as upset as Janet was last night, wanting to blame me, even though I was nowhere near the school when it happened, why didn't Dean call me to talk to me and RXXX at the same time about it? Someone did a crappy job of handling the whole thing, and it wasn't me.
Because Janet harassed and stalked me, I intend to follow it up with the police. I would really appreciate it if your school personnel would keep their opinions that I am "a bad person", or that "what I said wasn't true" to themselves. Also, if I get a restraining order against her, or if the sheriff tells her to leave me alone, I think I should be the one to be able to enjoy sharing my childrens' education with them, while she leaves me alone. I think the school should be more concerned with protecting me, since she was willing to harass me after school hours without any documentation of what happened. I don't think anyone should blame me for being upset, and if they do, I think they should keep it to themselves. I do not drive to peoples' houses and scare them, she does. Please remind everyone to keep their obvious and unwarrented disrespect for me under wraps. My children are starting to notice, and I am tired of it.
I deserve an apology from Tom SXXX for the way he spoke to me, and since he did it in public, perhaps he should apologize in public.

To the person who thinks that following me from one location to another in her car is an appropriate means of self expression, (and if you are reading this, you already know who you are) let me inform you of this: stalking another person is unlawful. If you continue to stalk me, and if you continue to harass me and continue to instruct your son to harass me, I will involve law enforcement. No kidding. If you have a problem with the fact that my daughters are not allowed near your sons because you do not supervise your sons properly, and your house is nothing short of an STD-fest when you are not home....probably when you are home too, that's just too bad. No loving parent allows his or her children to spend time with children such as your sons. If you have a problem with anyone in my home, get an expert opinion about what's really going on. I just spoke with faculty at the school, and discovered that what you told me was completely false, so you actually DO NOT have a problem with anyone in my home. What you have is a whining, dishonest son. Do not stalk and threaten others. This is the only time I am going to warn you: LEAVE ME AND MY FAMILY ALONE!
P.S. If you have something to say to me, say it to me. DO NOT take your whiny-assed little problems and complaints to ANY of my children, you dumb bitch.

Crazy Kansas Catholics Excited About New Pope
Now that we have a new pope, a bunch of silly-assed, crazy Kansas Catholics seem quite enthusiastic about the whole affair. Perhaps it is something to get excited about; after all, the leader of the Christian world is no longer someone who once said "Hail Hitler" on a regular basis. Here's the thing; Pope Francis has only been pope for a little longer than a day, and he is already dogged by a scandal. It seems that in the late 1970's, he was buddies with folks from drug cartels, and found life as a Catholic priest much more manageable if the poor in his parishes were kept poor and bereft of education and opportunities in life, and if the rich got to continue corruption as usual. So word has it that he supported the kidnappings, by drug lords, of a couple of priests who insisted upon helping people from less affluent parts of Argentina. Cashing in on local and international prohibition laws....some things never change for Christians and the Catholic Church.

Some Christian Wants Jesus To Dismantle This Blog
"Why are the posters here not asking Juli the real question... Juli, what is your religion and who do you worship? (Just check out her profile). Posters, why are you arguing with the enemy? Exercise your authority! I just prayed to Jesus Christ for Juli to know Him as Rescuer and Lord and if she rebelliously refuses for Him to dismantle her blog! btw & fyi... I stumbled on to this blog looking for more info on the man in the spotlight as he was in our church recently and we are proactively taking the steps to protect our children, in addition to the background checks and interviews that are already administered diligently and liberally. "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea. Jesus Christ from Mark 9:42"
This was sent to me from someone who read this post, about a man named Hugh Cranford, who used to be a vicar at a Lutheran Church in Topeka, Kansas, but who is now charged with sexual crimes against children. While I laud this reader's efforts to protect children, I am a bit puzzled that I am somehow labeled "the enemy" in the reader's comment! What did I do??? I thought Hugh Cranford, the Christian minister who likes little boys, was the enemy here, not yours truly!
Let me take this statement by statement, if I may: I am NOT the "enemy". I never was; I never will be. What "authority" should the good Christians exercise? I merely offered a commentary on the behaviors of certain Christian leaders, (this seems to happen more and more often in church) from the perspective of someone who is not a Christian. What, pray tell, is the problem here? Jesus Christ did not "rescue" me at any time during my life when I needed to make unusaul choices, and if he exists, he left me to my own devices many times and insisted that I learn to defend myself and make my own choices. Why would "Jesus" suddenly "rescue" me now, and from whom?
As for "rebellious"........you don't know the half of it, reader. But then, Jesus, if he existed, was rather rebellious, wasn't he? Just ask the mainstream Jews of his time! I come from a long line of revolutionary thinkers, and none of us are about to stop now. But seriously, is alerting the community about a dangerous Christian pastor really that revolutionary or rebellious? As soon as the vicar is convicted, the "rebellious" sex offender registry will do the same!
If Jesus is real, he will not dismantle my blog, or anyone else's blog. In this country, we have what is called "freedom of speech", which is covered by the first amendment of our country's Constitution. I can look at stuff in the news and blog about it, if I so choose. I also do not have to represent your viewpoint, or anyone else's. This goes to the heart of the reason I will never convert to a religion like Christianity. The Christian church, as a whole, thrives on conformity, and members who are good at pleasing their leaders. That is one of the reasons that people like Hugh Cranford are able to get away with sexual abuses of children. Anyone who blows the whistle on a pastor is held in contempt by the sheeple of the temple, and anyone who cannot blend in with the masses is often targeted for abuse and hate. Did you not just prove that by sending me such a mean spirited comment?
I am myself. I will always be myself. Jesus would certainly never ask me to stop being who I am. In fact, he would hate it if I stopped being who I am. I am a good person, and would have to drop at least sixty IQ points in order to attend a Christian church happily, and no diety with whom I have ever worked would ever ask me to do a thing like that. No one asks me about my religion, or who I "worship", because it is not relevant to the post you read. In fact, those things are not relevant to most of the things I write. They would only be relevant to someone looking for a reason to hate me, encourage others to hate me, and possibly burn me at the stake.
Sigh; Ozzy Would Have Been A Better Pope
Yahoo's Picture Of New Pope
>>>>>Sigh<<<<< The world of fundamental Christianity apparently has a new leader. Jorge Mario Bergoglio, of Argentina, has been magically transformed into Pope Francis. Ozzy Osbourne would still have been a better choice.
Petition Calling For Resignation Of Judge Michael Algeo
This is a petition calling for Judge Michael Algeo, of Montgomery County, Maryland, to resign. In October of last year, he heard a family law court case involving a little boy by the name of Prince Mcleod Rams, and allowed unsupervised visitation with a sperm donor who was under investigation for two murders in a neighboring state. On Prince's first visit, he was murdered. The sperm donor, Joaquin Rams, is now in jail with no bond, after the Commonwealth of Virginia gathered the evidence necessary to complete their investigations and arrest him. Nice going, Algeo. Creep.
Please sign the petition. Petitions, in and of themselves, are not necessarily tools that force change, but they are methods of making the public aware that change is needed.

Holy Shit! It's A Holy Conclave!
Tommorrow the conclave will begin to choose a new Enabler-In-Chief....or, pope. Christians worldwide will have someone new to listen to reports about child abuse and sexual abuse and encourage these things to continue. There have been some individuals, pictured below, who may have been great leadership choices for the Christian hordes and stampedes, had they been given opportunity, and a couple of them have enjoyed leadership roles. But the church will probably want someone who quietly allows matters, good and bad, to continue as always, and someone who will resist change and progress at the expense of the weak and poor until Mother Earth steps in and cancels everyone's ticket.

In Case You Skipped Church On Sunday
Most of the prayers I know by heart begin with words such as "Open the door, Papa Legba", or appeals to other Voudon Dieties. How strange, for a white woman, such as myself. How could this have happened? Upon reflection, it occured to me that the reason for this is that when praying to the Voudon Dieties, or Loa, one sings. Voodoo, as a religion, is sung and danced, and one's love for one's Loa is not held inside, but expressed. One chants....one experiences.....and one communes. Even when a person who cannot carry a tune, such as myself, prays her heart out by singing with the Loa, They always hear. Always. They always make known Their Presence, and I always know that I am loved. And so, that is how I learned to pray. Thankyou, Papa Legba. You are wonderful.

Marysville Kansas Cop Was Wrong To Make Threats
Yesterday, I finally had an opportunity to speak with an attorney about this encounter, which I had on Monday, with a policeman in Marysville, Kansas. The cop had just arrested a young woman, and while she was waiting for him to do his coply duties of figuring out which crime she had probably not committed but with which he could yet charge her, she told me her children had been left alone as a result of her arrest. She asked me if I would call her mother on my cell phone and ask her to babysit, and the cop manhandled me and threatened to arrest me when I obliged. As it turns out, there is no crime in the annotated code of Kansas to be found suggesting that it is unlawful for a bystander to telephone a child's grandma to babysit while a parent gets arrested or otherwise hounded by law enforcement. I committed no crime, and any arrest would have been a false arrest. Any subsequent detention would have been false imprisonment. The police officer was making empty, stupid threats.
It was also suggested to me that such ploys are standard procedure at the Marysville Police Station whenever a woman with children is arrested. The goal is to force the mother to choose, when making her phone call, between calling a lawyer, or calling someone to care for her children. The mother will almost always choose someone to care for her children, and with no legal representation, the police are free to harass and bully her for a longer amount of time. Who ultimately pays for this? The children, of course.
Go ahead and continue your tactics, big badass cop. Have you heard of what's been dubbed the "War on Women"? Kansas officials are not looking terribly positive, of late, in any area involving women. How do you think the American Civil Liberties Union and the Southern Poverty Law Center will react to documented instances of women being forced to give up legal representation while in your custody?
It was also suggested to me that such ploys are standard procedure at the Marysville Police Station whenever a woman with children is arrested. The goal is to force the mother to choose, when making her phone call, between calling a lawyer, or calling someone to care for her children. Colton Barrera Still Needs To Be Found
Colton Barrera, the seventeen year old boy who disappeared in Russell, Kansas four years ago, is still missing and his case needs more attention. The media and law enforcement apparently cannot get the advertisements and endorsements to support telling the general public that this young man is missing, so I will run his picture again. Here is a link to the Facebook page that has been set up for discussion of his case and to spread the word. Four years is a long time for a family to look for a missing child.

Kansas Judge Talks To Witness, Ex Parte
A judge in Marysville, Kansas, has a case on her docket. The two parties involved in the case, the defendant and the witness for the prosecution, have been ordered to leave each other alone and keep their amounts of personal contact to a minimum. But the witness for the prosecution still perceives reasons to hound the defendant, asking him for personal information for purposes involving her own affairs. Instead of waiting for defendant to contact his attorney and go through the proper channels for all contact and information necessary to the existing situations in the lives of all involved, the witness for the prosecution decided to call the courthouse and complain that the defendant was keeping his distance from her, as ordered. So what happened? A secretary transferred the prosecution witness's phone call straight to the chambers of the judge scheduled to try this case. The judge proceeded to converse with the witness, behind the backs of the defendant and his attorney.
This kind of behavior of the part of a judge is highly inappropriate. In fact, according to the Judicial Code Of Conduct for judges in the state of Kansas, an ex parte communication is extremely unethical. How can a judge remain unbiased when her secretary transfers phone calls directly to her from witnesses for the prosecution? There really is no way, and this never should have happened. The Supreme Court in Kansas will certainly hear about this, and the next time Judge Hecke runs for the bench, the incident will be common knowledge in Marshall County, Kansas.

Corrupt Kansas Attorney Gets A Surprise
A lawyer who represents "the people" in a region or Northeast Kansas got a surprise. She had fully expected to intimidate an innocent person into entering a guilty plea to a crime he did not commit. He stood up for himself, and for the Truth, and pleaded not guilty. It is my very good fortune to know this man.

Kansas Cop Forces Mother To Abandon Children
While taking care of some business at the local courthouse here in beautiful Northeast Kansas, an officer came barreling through the hallway, making everyone clear space for him to march a young woman, whom he had just arrested, down the hall. He sat her down, momentarily, on a bench. Then she recognized me, having met me in the past, (this is a small community, and her children are close in age to my children) and called out my name. She explained to me that the police had taken her into custody and had left her children, ages five and seven, by themselves! She wanted me to call her mother on my cell phone and ask her to go watch them...that was all. As I began to oblige, the officer grabbed my arm and snatched my cell phone away from me. While I continued to grasp the cell phone, he hollered, "If you help her, I will arrest you, too!" He stopped me from dialing, but found himself not technically savvy enough to remove the phone number, and he further screamed, "End it!", letting go of both yours truly and the cell phone.
My husband explained to me that earlier in the day, there had been a big drug bust in the area, and quite a few people had been arrested for violating prohibition laws. He was also of the opinion that the officer had put the woman in this position deliberately, so as to force her to choose, when deciding who to call, between her mother and her lawyer. Furthermore, if social services had been sent to her home, and taken the children, the mother could also be charged with child neglect and abandonment, even though the police had taken her into custody. And asking me to call her mother to take care of the children had somehow become criminalized behavior.
What the hell is the matter with everyone in Northeast Kansas? Times were, during my misspent youth, my big mouth and my boozy breath were factors that almost got me arrested, more than once. Now that I am "old"......as per my childrens' descriptions.....and a little more conservative, no one looks at me and thinks "outlaw", these days. But I'm gonna get arrested for calling someone's mother to go babysit her children? Kansas law enforcement, have you lost your minds? Or is this another way you feed the human trafficking market you call a foster care system?

Missouri Amber Alert
A thirteen month old little girl and a car got stolen in Missouri today. In Springfield, Mo. a 2002 grey Nisson Maxima was stolen, along with the two children who were left inside while their father ran into the grocery store. Leaving one's children in the car unsupervised is always a bad choice......the missing little girl is named Harmony Blue. Her four year old brother was dropped off after the thief noticed he was in the car, and later reunited with his father. Anyone who knows anything about this is asked to call the Missouri Highway Patrol at 417-864-1810.
Harmony Blue was found safe.
