Teaching Science Threatens Business

The governor of Wyoming just signed a bill into law that blocks the teaching of science and ecology from a worldwide standpoint that considers global warming. Public schools, in order to appease the energy business in Wyoming, will not be allowed to teach the same science that the more progressive public schools in the United States and virtually the rest of the world teaches. Wyoming legislators actually stated that they did not want the schools to teach something that contraindicates the state's biggest industry, and that they would rather teach outdated science! How unfortunate for the hopeful college bound student wishing to study science!

Frankfort, Kansas has a public school where social studies and American history are deliberately not taught. Dean Dalinghaus, the principal, stated to a parent that teaching children about the Constitution and how it applies to them makes "running the school smoothly" more difficult. This makes USD 380 in Kansas another example of education taking a back seat to politics.

Thankyou, Jimi Hendrix, for reminding me that the pulse of life, complete with our unique abilities and talents, do not flow without an equal exchange of energy. While it may look like a sacrifice, we must remember to feed the spirits who feed us. I was beginning to forget. What a powerful bard you are!

While not everyone will completely understand what I just said, everyone should understand how important music and art are in the world. Harmony and balance have a lot in common. The world could certainly use more harmony.

My Ancestors will hear more appreciation from me from now on.

Kansas House Resolution 1900

“You’ve got enormous natural gas finds, some of them in the 4th District of Kansas, some of them out in Harper and Barber and Comanche counties, other parts of the state of Kansas,” Pompeo said. “We have to get that product from where it is today to end users, industrial folks, commercial users, residential customers.

“We’ve got a lot of folks who want to go out and help build the infrastructure to do that and they’re finding out the government is not sufficiently responsive.”

The above is what Mike Pompeo, Republican representative had to say about his bill that just passed the House, House Resolution 1900, or HR-1900. If it passes the Senate, as well, any company that either owns land where it is feasible to take unstudied risks related to the energy industry will only have to wait two years for a yay or a nay from any authority or agency from whom permission or licensing is required. After the two years is over,  any lack of response can legally be translated as a "yes"; regardless of any contraindications.

This really relates to gas lines and fuel transit, more than any other aspect of this business, and it really benefits the Koch Brothers more than it benefits anyone who lives in Kansas.

In Case You Skipped Church On Sunday

Most of the prayers I know by heart begin with words such as "Open the door, Papa Legba", or appeals to other Voudon Dieties. How strange, for a white woman, such as myself. How could this have happened? Upon reflection, it occured to me that the reason for this is that when praying to the Voudon Dieties, or Loa, one sings. Voodoo, as a religion, is sung and danced, and one's love for one's Loa is not held inside, but expressed. One chants....one experiences.....and one communes. Even when a person who cannot carry a tune, such as myself, prays her heart out by singing with the Loa, They always hear. Always. They always make known Their Presence, and I always know that I am loved. And so, that is how I learned to pray. Thankyou, Papa Legba. You are wonderful.

Note to the unitiated: Never engage here without a fair sacrifice or gift, as all entities, both physical and nonphysical, seek equilibrium; and energy does not travel unnoticed from one source to another, without equal and possibly opposite reaction.
