Happy Holidays: The IRS Gave The Money Back

Just in time for the holiday season, the IRS gave a restaurant owner named Carole Hinders, of Iowa, back the money that they had confiscated last year, because it looked as if she was attempting to manipulate the amounts of her bank deposits in order to skirt banking laws. Her bank deposits were often just a little bit shy of $10,000; and it looked as if she was manipulating them, or "structuring" them, in order to avoid creating records. Often, this is associated with money laundering and is done by drug dealers. Carole Hinders wasn't involved in either.

The Internal Revenue Service was unable to prove intent, and actually gave her money back to her last week. Luckily, Hinders had support and representation; hopefully, small business owners can learn from this.

To my lurker from Cedar Rapids, Iowa; you have a sibling who has, at the behest of the faculty of a substandard public school, attacked me in almost every way from simple harassment and interference with my civil rights to attempted murder. Your sibling, no doubt, feels a distinctive sting when forced to honor the fact that one person's rights end where another's begins. If you were not aware of this yourself, you need to become aware. If your sibling wishes me to vacate my public awareness campaign; and you know exactly to which I refer; I have a price. My price is monetary compensation for everything material I have lost because of your sibling, a public apology, and your sibling's resignation. It won't begin to compensate me for the heartache already caused by your family, but it will stop your sibling from harming anyone else.

Who The Hell Chooses This Name For A Business?

There are some interesting business names and company logos in the Midwest! The one pictured above is headquartered in Iowa. Nothing against grain bins here, but a word that phonetically sounds like "suck-up" would not be this blogger's first choice in names for a company!

Once Again

Once again, 173.18.34.248, what do you want?

Hey, 173.18.34.248, somewhere close to Cedar Rapids, Iowa; what do you want?
Is it actually your sister, in Northeast Kansas, who wants something?

Lucky Kansas; Brian Davis Is Moving Back

Yippee. Brian Davis, who just finished serving seventeen years in Iowa for the murder of Julie Baack, who disappeared in 1992, and was found three years later, is going to live here, in Kansas. The court in Iowa expects him to obey the law from now on. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? And oh.....he was dating Julie Baack when she disappeared. That's him, on the left, ladies. He's probably going to be on a romance prowl soon; remember to give him a miss if he asks you out. Victory Baptist Church in Marysville, Kansas will probably help him find a place to live. Christians in Kansas have a tendency to like criminals better than they like people who abide by the law.
