The Woman Who Gave Us A Murderer

Yesterday, you saw a picture of the type of woman who loves and supports murderers; today you will see what a woman who actually raises such a monster looks like. Mike Slager's mother, Karen Sharpe, shamelessly bore her murdering son and forced the rest of us to live with him. She is the last thing mankind ever needed. Why couldn't she have taken the time to teach her children to take responsibility seriously and to treat privilege with respect, rather than abuse?

Missing Wichita Baby

Seven day old Sophia Victoria Gonzalez Abarca is missing from Wichita, Kansas. Her father came home from work yesterday to find Sophia's mother, Laura Abarca-Nogueda dead and Sophia missing. There was a vehicle that had been thought to have been involved, but the vehicle and its owner has been located, and were not involved, so police have no suspects or leads. The FBI tipline is 1-800-225-5324. If you have any information or think you may have seen this baby somewhere, please call that number and let someone know. Below is a picture of Sophia.

Update: Little Sophia has been found in Dallas, Texas, and there are two suspects in custody.

Dear Dr. Phil

Dear Dr. Phil,

Recently, you hosted the former step parent of Kyron Horman, missing from Oregon since 2010, on your talk show. At one point, you asked her about the suspicions on the part of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office to the effect that she had attempted to hire someone to murder her husband, Kaine. The allegations centered around a landscaper, whom she had hired to mow her lawn, and an offer she had allegedly made. When you asked her about it, she told you that she had never told Kaine about the landscaper. In fact, she gave her older son, James Moulton, credit for mowing the lawn when she discussed it with Kaine.

Is there a way to send Terri Horman a follow-up question, via your show? If James had been given the task of mowing the lawn by his stepfather, does it build character when his mother hires a landscaper to do it, instead? What kind of a message is sent when she lies to her husband, and states that her son actually mowed the lawn, as charged? This does not sound like good parenting. There are quite a few people who saw your show that day, and would like these questions further explored. Oh, there's one more question that should be put to Terri directly: Terri, where's Kyron?

Julia Biryukova Replicates Again

So after "losing" her two year old son, Sky Metawala, in 2011, by allegedly walking away from her car and leaving him alone, never to see him again, Julia Biryukova has reproduced, yet again! She bore another son in July. Child Protective Services in Bellevue, Washington, has declared her an unfit parent. She still does not see any necessity in cooperation with efforts by law enforcement to find Sky. November 6 is the fourth anniversary of the day Sky went missing.

Biryukova's newborn son's father, Alan J. Morgan, is a career jailbird who is currently serving time in Issaquah. His latest criminal exploit was violating a protective order that Biryukova had gotten against him. It's a shame she waited until after she replicated herself to get a protective order against the sperm donor. Is there anyone in the new baby's life who can keep Biryukova's history with Sky from repeating itself?

Kyron Horman, Missing Children, And Harassment

This is Kyron Horman's mom, Desiree Young, talking about the day her son disappeared from Skyline Elementary, in Portland Oregon, when he was in second grade. That was five years ago. During that time, she has worked hard to keep her child's case in the news, and to make everyone aware of child safety issues. Unfortunately, she has hecklers, ill wishers, and internet trolls, who do not appear to share her desire for the world to be a safer place for children. This trend, of heckling the parents of missing or murdered children is disturbing; Desiree is not the only parent to notice such individuals. It seems that any time tragedy strikes a family, and crime is suspected as the cause, the game of trolling the family seems irresistible for some. Why is that?

In Kyron Horman's case, IP numbers have been traced back to friends and relatives of Terri Horman, Kyron's sometime step-mother. In a spirit of defensiveness, they spam and comment-bomb anyone who merely shares Kyron's picture and contact information. There is a seventeen year old boy, named Colton Barrera, who disappeared in Kansas, in 2008. His case has hecklers, as well. Those are mostly the parents of young people rumored to have information about him. In an ongoing effort to silence any attempt to solve Colton's case, the parents of the persons of interest harass anyone who wants to know why Colton is missing. Law enforcement in Kansas is more worried about popularity than solving crimes, so Colton's case has not even been investigated. The forty year old missing persons case of Sheila and Katherine Lyon is another case that has attracted harassment from specific sources, directed at anyone who maintains and entertains a hope that the case will be solved. There is also a court date, on June 29, for the wife of a "person of interest". She took the whole thing a step further and actually lied to the grand jury about evidence in the case.

Even in a Kansas case that ended happily, with the missing child found, there was cover-up, in order to protect the criminality of a Frankfort teacher, and to cover the school's lack of protocol when a child disappears. Frankfort Kansas must really dislike No Child Left Behind, because Tom Schroeder left a child behind one day! The child's parents are still getting nasty emails from teachers at Frankfort High School and Tom Schroeder and his stupid frankfurter friends, defending his actions and lying for him. The only reason anyone would do this is, unfortunately, the same as the reason for harassing someone whose child is still missing or has been murdered: the perpetrator, along with any accomplices or enablers, wants to derail any chance of apprehension.

Update On Nebraska's Amber Alert

The vehicle cited in the Amber Alert for five year old Josue Ramirez-Marinero has been located, so the Amber Alert was cancelled early this morning. Young Josue, however; has NOT been located, so it is still important for the public to be aware that there is still a missing little boy. His mother was positively identified as the woman who was found deceased in Nebraska yesterday, and his eleven month old brother was found in a dumpster. Anyone with information is asked to call the Omaha Police at 402-444-5656.

To Mike Slager's Filthy Mother

"I know they are grieving, just like I am grieving." The mother of a south Carolina cop who killed a man thinks she is grieving just like his family. I am offended by this. Listening to her words, in the video, I hear her express shock that her son was charged with murder, but not shock that he would aimlessly kill someone. She is upset because her grandchild will be born while her son is accounting for his violent, and most likely racist, behavior; but has not said one word about the personal impact on any member of the family of her son's victim. She's really shocked because she always expected her son to get away with whatever he chose to do, and she really thought the victim in this case did not matter. She is stunned that her own grandchild will do what she set the stage for him to do: be born with daddio in jail! If she had taken the time to teach her son values, morals, justice, and not to consider himself a privileged racist, her grandchild would not be in this position.

Mike Slager's disgusting example of an egg donor also does not want to watch the cell phone video of her son shooting an unarmed man. Why would that be? It's only a bit of video footage, taken by a witness, that conflicts with the untrue stories she taught her son to tell, whenever the truth is not convenient. Didn't she know that if he carried a weapon, a day would come when the racism and the dishonesty he learned at home would combine into a situation such as this? Of course she did. She just didn't care. After all, she taught her son that it's his privilege to do whatever he pleases. The hell with anyone else's life.

He's Cute, And I Really Love Him

What an exceptional daughter and older sister this girl will be! Calise dialed 911 when her very pregnant mom had an epilectic seizure, and very shortly thereafter, she got to meet her little brother face to face! What a brilliant and lucky girl!

Telephone Tag With A'Kiera Burrell Sledge

On December 25, missing fourteen year old A'kiera Burrell Sledge, from Kansas City, Missouri, finally called her mother from an untraceable number. This is great news for Iyonna Burrell, who, prior to this phone call, had no real idea what had happened to her daughter. A'kiera has a history of running away from home, and was taken into state custody and placed in Crittenden because of it. Iyonna has not lost parental rights, just custody, but when her daughter disappeared while in the state's custody, she was treated as if no one owed her any answers. This is simply not true. What's really going on is that a facility that accepts monies from state funded insurance failed to protect a child in it's custody, and when the parent demanded answers, pretending she had no right to answers was the most convenient way of blowing her off. Unfortunately, the court in Kansas City, Missouri is vested in covering for Crittenden, and refuses to establish a profile with NCMEC for A'kiera. No one has forced Crittenden to turn over it's security footage from the cameras that provide surveillance around the perimeter twenty-four hours a day. Crittenden, so far, has gotten away with falsely stating that there is no surveillance footage.

At least Iyonna Burrell knows her daughter was alive on Christmas. A'kiera has been missing since the last week of November. She does not wish to live at Crittenden anymore. Missouri will not allow her to live with her mother, and as of late, will not even allow her mother to advocate for her while she is a missing child. Missouri was not making any efforts in improving communication between mother and daughter, and it appears that Crittenden just wanted to make sure that A'kiera was not reported missing too close to the middle of the month, lest they lose the funding for A'kiera's enrollment in their program. Or something like that. Any time stamped video footage of A'kiera leaving the facility might mean Crittenden would owe the insurance company or the state a prorated refund. The only other reasons for discouraging communication between A'kiera and family members and for withholding the surveillance footage are much more sinister.

Right now, A'kiera needs her mother more than she needs anything. The state of Missouri needs to realize it's failure in this case, and either return A'kiera to her mother or find a family member or friend who can keep A'kiera until communication and balance can be established. Telling Iyonna not to parent is one and the same as telling A'kiera she can't have a mother, at this point; and that is morally repugnant. Why can't there be an advocate, or legal counsel, for A'kiera? If there was, how would she know who to contact, and who to trust? If someone can answer those questions for her, she might place another phone call to her mom.

Do You Know This Baby?

The other day, in Santa Ana, a woman either jumped from a moving truck, was pushed out of a moving truck, or was hit by a moving truck, and her injuries were so severe that she died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, she died before she was able to tell anyone her name, and had no identification of any kind on her person. That, alone, is very sad; but there is more to this story. A baby girl who appears to be around ten months old was found lying beside her on the road, and no one knows who she is or where to find her family. She desperately needs someone to recognize her and come forward and tell authorities is Santa Ana where to find the rest of her family. The number for Santa Ana police is 714-245-8390, and Orange County Crime Stoppers will take tips about this, as well, at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.

To be in an accident and lose one's mother is bad enough for a child this young, but to have such an incident separate one permanently from one's family is unimaginably tragic.

Cierra Swodeck Is Missing

Cierra Swodeck, of Lawrence, Kansas, is seventeen years old and was last seen on October 6. She was in foster care in Russell, Kansas, and it was "reported" to her natural mother that a "friend"drove Cierra from Russell to Topeka. It has been almost twenty days since this young lady has been seen by anyone who knows her. That's long time for a seventeen your old to be missing.

There are some questions that do not appear to have been addressed by the media in Cierra's case. First; why did law enforcement and the media wait until over two weeks had elapsed to publicize this case? Second; why isn't law enforcement airing this case? Why isn't social services doing more about it? Why is the natural mother, whose parental rights had been suspended by the foster care system, the only person who cares enough about Cierra to pass out flyers, talk to the media, and look for her? Third; Where were the foster parents when Cierra went missing, and what is their timeline on October 6? When a child or an adult is missing, and is being held against his or her will, if the missing person is going to be murdered, it usually happens within the first three hours. Two and a half weeks is way too long of a time to wait to give the case attention. Social Services and the foster parents also have a share of responsibility in this; the taxpayers should not have to think that child protective services will snatch children from parents who love them, place them in living situations hundreds of miles away from home, and not lift a finger, or a phone, when children disappear. There is a Marshall County Kansas foster parent who allows foster children to drink and drive drunk, and even though the police are required by law to arrest any child in DCF custody caught drinking, they never bother.....so it comes as no surprise, here, when law enforcement takes twenty days to start publicizing a foster child's missing persons' case. And, of course,  what were those foster parents doing on October 6, did Cierra have a cell phone, and why did they not have enough control over the goings-on in their state approved foster home to ensure that Cierra did not leave without asking? Finally, did Cierra really go to Topeka with a friend?

Anyone with information about Cierra or her whereabouts should call the number to the Russell County Sheriff's office on the poster above.

Kansas Refinery Pays A Fine

WIBW wanted to report on the fine owed by a refinery in Southeast Kansas because of an oil spill that took place during a flood in 2007, but apparently, did not want to name them in the article. So I will do it for them. The company that polluted and did not pay for cleanup yet is Coffeyville Resources Refining and Marketing. Here's the original article.

Should Terri Horman Be Afraid Of Photography?

Lots of people who have been following Kyron Horman's Missing perons case since June 4, 2010, when he disappeared from his school in Portland, Oregon are wondering about the nine month delay (originally reported to be a two year delay) of the lawsuit filed by Kyron's mother against Terri Horman, Kyron's stepmother, and especially wondering what the judge meant by "protecting witnesses". From reading comments in various places about this, it appears that there is an opinion floating around that the district attorney of Multnomah County is trying to keep this information out of Terri Horman's hands. While that may, in fact, be the case, Terri Horman very likely knows the exact identity of each and every actual witness in this case.......UNLESS.....it involves accidental surveillance or accidental photography!

A streetsign up the street from Carol and Larry Moulton's house, where Terri Horman currently resides. What secrets may have been shared there, Terri, and by whom? Hmmm?

Conviction In Maria Ridulph 1957 Murder

Justice has finally been served for Maria Ridulph, of this post. She disappeared in Illinois, in 1957, and was later found murdered. A young man named John McCullough was among the original suspects, but his mother lied for him in order to pervert justice and help her son get away with murder. He spent the next fifty-five years using more than one alias and hopping from one geographical area to another. It is particularaly disturbing that he was able to serve in Seattle as a police officer. He lied under oath to become a cop; how many other times could he have lied? Did he kill other people besides Maria? How many false arrests has he made?

Seventy-two years old, but going to jail anyway.

Message To James Moulton

James.....James.......James. Word has it that you have a military career planned, upon which you intend to embark in the next two or three weeks. This is probably good for you, as any branch of the military will provide you with a paycheck and with training for lots of career choices when your tour of duty is over. I am happy for you. There is one thing I think you should know before you say goodbye to "Mommy", though, and that's this; over the past two years, many of the visits to my blog, as indicated by my tracker, have been from military bases in various parts of the world, reading and re-reading any and all posts that mention your step-brother, Kyron Horman. A lot of people, in all branches of the military, care about him. From private and public comments, I can only gather that each and every military person who has read about Kyron would do just about anything to help bring him home. Should you leave Oregon without offering your testimony to help accomplish the same, you will probably be the only person serving in the armed forces who is not willing to do whatever is neccessary or possible to bring your little brother home. Do you really want to be that person, while in basic training? How about the rest of your career, James? How easy do you think the work world, especially the military work world, will be, when everyone around you cares about missing children, and you are the only one who has actually refused to do the right thing and help bring one home? Your whole military career might be over before it even starts.

I am hoping, and willing to consider, that you know nothing about Kyron's disappearance. When I first heard about Kyron, in the summer of 2010, I was willing to consider the same about your mother, too. In fact, I don't think anyone started to point the finger at her until problems with her statements to the police arose. She never managed to straighten those out, either, and that is ultimately the reason Kyron's mother is taking your mother to court. Your mother could save herself a lot of trouble simply by testifying. At this late date, I am sure you have heard quite a bit of inside information about the case from your mother, and others. Just on the outside chance that any of that information is something that could lead to Kyron or help explain what happened to him, the obvious moral obligation you have is to testify, despite your mother's objections. Yes, James, there are a few of us out there who understand what it is like to go straight on a crooked family, and it's hard.....but what is your crooked family really doing for you that's helpful and productive? Probably not much. Wouldn't you rather be the first witness to testify, rather than the person who gets a summons while at a duty station?

Throw The Book At This Kansas "Mother"!

"Testimony begins in the trial of an Emporia mother accused of leaving her newborn baby in a dumpster. Christina Devine is charged with attempted murder.

Prosecutors say she gave birth to a baby boy in October 2010m wrapped him in a trash bag, placed him in a dumpster, then went to work.

Tuesday, jurors heard from the man who found the baby who testified he remembers seeing the baby's hands moving up and down and then seeing dried blood on his head.

Prosecutors call the crime premeditated but lawyers for Devine say she did not intend to harm the baby."

................There's the whole article from ABC News, KTKA, in it's entirety. We almost don't need to know any more than what's reported. If this new mom did not want her newborn, there are plenty of people in Kansas who would love that baby, if given the chance. She did not have to leave him in a dumpster to die. Hopefully, Kansas will throw the book at her, and the rest of her childbearing years will be spent in prison, rather than getting pregnant again, and repeating her crime.

Tales From The Crypt; The Baby Is Still Alive

Last week, in Argentina, a baby was born prematurely. The mother was told that the baby showed no signs of life, and the doctor duly pronounced the little girl dead. Then, she was unceremoniously sent to the city morgue.

Twelve hours later, the mother was discharged from the hospital, and wanted to see her baby one more time. So she and her husband went to the morgue, and when they opened their daughter's casket, she cried! No joke; doctors apparently make mistakes. Hopefully, they thought to take a carseat with them when they went to visit their daughter at the morgue! The baby's name is Luz Milegros; "miracles of light", loosely translated. Hopefully, there will not be much red tape involved in trading in the death certificate for a birth certificate!
