The Cop Who Pulled The Trigger

As discussed previously on this site, a young man by the name of Andrew Finch was shot, for no reason, by a police officer in Wichita, Kansas, on December 28 of last year. As it happened, the police had been responding to false information from a gamer in California, and had not made any attempt to discover the actual circumstances, that night. Tyler Bariss, the prank caller, has been arrested and extradited to Kansas and awaits further court dates in the Sedgwick County jail. For a long while, the only piece of the puzzle that was missing, aside from the reason for all of this police brutality in the first place, was the name of the murderer. It appears that we now have it.

It was reported by the San Jose Mercury that the pig who shot Mr. Finch was hired in 2010, and has appeared in several episodes of COPS. That, in your faithful blogger's research, narrowed the list down to two possible candidates. Further information, courtesy of The Daily Haze, has narrowed the list down to one possible person: an immature, unthinking thirty-three year old moron by the name of Justin Rapp.

Justin Rapp was hired in March of 2010, was present at the scene when Andrew Finch was fatally shot, and is now on paid leave. Chief Gordon Ramsey, of the Wichita Police Department, has tried very hard to hide Rapp's identity. In fact, he appears to think that if a cop murders someone in cold blood, the family of the victim should just accept it, and move on. Gordon Ramsey does not think that any murder victim of a police officer deserves justice, but he and all Kansas police departments have no problem with the concept or the reality of smearing the reputations of other defendants in criminal cases, prior to trial.

The family of Andrew Finch is now filing suit against the Wichita Police Department.

Welcome to Kansas, Tyler Barriss! You now get to wake up in the land of tornados, flying monkeys, and the yellow brick road! You never thought it would happen, did you? Even if your mommy comes up with the money to pay your $500,000 bail and flies to Kansas to bail you out of jail in Sedgwick County, you'll just go to jail in Canada, where you called in a false police report on someone else you didn't like.

Today, inclement weather notwithstanding, Tyler Barriss, the California man who got angry with Andrew Finch, of Wichita, Kansas, and made a false report that sent a SWAT team to Finch's home; where a trigger happy cop shot and killed Finch; was picked up in Los Angeles and flown to Kansas. He is now in the Sedgwick County Detention Center, all 125 pounds of him, on charges of involuntary manslaughter, giving false alarm, and falsely reporting a felony.

While it is wonderful to see accountability in Barriss's case, the police officer who actually committed the murder of Andrew Finch still deserves to be held accountable, as well. We need this officer's name.

Another Kansas Cop

At a time when America has already heard too much about trigger happy police officers, a pig in Wichita, Kansas tips the scale, yet again. In response to an anonymous call that came in from California, phoning in a false police report, the cops in Wichita arrived at what they thought was the address indicated, (it wasn't) and opened fire when the door was answered. Andrew Finch heard noises near his home, and opened his front door; it was that simple. He had no idea that the police were outside his house with weapons drawn. In less than thirty seconds after he opened the door for them, they shot him. It almost appears that they had planned, in advance, to shoot whoever opened the door when they arrived. His children were forced to leave the house and stand outside in frigid weather with no shoes, while these public servants ripped through the house in a frenzied search for anything that might exonerate the pig who pulled the trigger. They ended up taking the screen door. A very important piece of information that has not been shared with the rest of us is the name of the cop who committed this murder. According to police in Wichita, the whole incident was the fault of a prankster in California, who has since been apprehended. As Wichita Police Chief Troy Livingston sees it, none of this was law enforcement's fault or responsibility. While making false statements to law enforcement is a terrible thing to do, no one should have to worry that a cop is going to knock on the door and shoot to kill over something he or she was told by someone else.

Kurt Kerns, the attorney who represents Andrew Finch's family, has given this statement: ..While the family is pleased an alleged swatter was detained, the swatter did not shoot an unarmed man stepping out onto his porch.That was a WPD Officer. While the WPD has attempted to deflect the cause of death to a phone call- Andrew was killed by a bullet fired by an officer who clearly had no cause to fire.
 
Prank or no prank- no officer claimed to have seen a weapon before firing, and that fact alone makes this shooting reckless at best. The family remains hopeful that all responsible are brought to justice including the shooter.

Missing Wichita Baby

Seven day old Sophia Victoria Gonzalez Abarca is missing from Wichita, Kansas. Her father came home from work yesterday to find Sophia's mother, Laura Abarca-Nogueda dead and Sophia missing. There was a vehicle that had been thought to have been involved, but the vehicle and its owner has been located, and were not involved, so police have no suspects or leads. The FBI tipline is 1-800-225-5324. If you have any information or think you may have seen this baby somewhere, please call that number and let someone know. Below is a picture of Sophia.

Update: Little Sophia has been found in Dallas, Texas, and there are two suspects in custody.

Missing Teen In Wichita, Kansas

Mariana Gonzalez, fourteen years old, has been missing since 5:00 PM, July 23 from Wichita, Kansas. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black tank top, a black vest, and black flip-flops. If anyone has any information about her, please call the Wichita Police Department at 316-268-4111. They can also be contacted on Facebook, where tips can be given online.

Update: Mariana has been found safe.

Home At Last

On January 21, 1968, Army Sgt. First Class Billy D. Hill, of Wichita, Kansas, was killed in a helicopter that was shot down near Khe Sahn in Vietnam. His remains were not found at the time, and he was declared Missing In Action. Efforts were made, over the years, to find Sgt. Hill and one other soldier who was missing after the same incident, but both soldiers remained missing. In 2014, the remains of unknown soldiers who were found near Khe Sahn and returned in 1989 were analyzed, once again, and DNA matched Sgt. Hill to family members. After almost forty-eight years, Billy D. Hill will be coming home to be laid to rest in Killeen, Texas.

Two Wichita Women Arrested For Human Trafficking

Yes, Kansas, you read that correctly. Wichita is a big hub for human trafficking. Tinique Anthony and Ashley Bowman, two accused perpetrators, are now both in jail.

Diana Shunn, of the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County, recommends awareness and communication to help fight this type of crime. Assuming that "those things don't happen in my neighborhood", or "those things don't happen in the country" or "in Kansas" only puts more children in danger.

The allegations against Anthony and Bowman have to do with the prostitution and sale of victims who are under age. Wichita and Kansas City may not seem like prime locations for this, but both of those cities feature networks of highways that connect to interstate routes that will quickly and easily take drivers almost anywhere in the United States. This provides not only an easy escape route, but a quick and practical way to move a kidnapped child out of the area before the police have even had the chance to refuse assistance to distraught parents on the grounds that they do not bother with "runaways". Despite the myth generated by law enforcement that runaway children are safe, runaways are prime targets for human trafficking. So are children with disabilities, latchkey children, and, statistically, bullying victims. Children who have been left behind after school activities by inattentive teachers are also prime targets. Yes, a guidance counselor in Frankfort, Kansas actually did this. The school tried to keep the incident quiet, and described the teacher as an "asset" to the school when the parents complained. The only way such a teacher could be an asset is if the school had arranged a "deal", involving a vulnerable child.

Of all the cities in the United States, Wichita, Kansas, is among the top five cities in the United States for the origination......that means recruiting and kidnapping.......of human trafficking. That is not a wonderful reason to be famous, Kansas. The guidance counselor in Frankfort never did explain why he left a fourteen year old girl by herself on the highway, four miles away from Frankfort. Some strangers stopped and gave her a ride back into town. The school board of USD 380 (Frankfort and Centralia) felt that Tom Schroeder's action of forcing a child to accept a ride from a stranger was appropriate, and he was told by an attorney not to respond to any questions about the incident. 

Marijuana Will Be Up For Vote In Wichita

The new petition for decriminalization of marijuana, particularly first offenses, was written up, passed around, and signed by enough people to force the city of Wichita, Kansas, to put it on the ballot in April. This will make possession within the city a municipal offence with a small fine, rather than a felony, or whatever is convenient for prosecutors to call it. It seems like a step in the right direction; perhaps our jails and prisons can reserve space for those who commit violent crimes, instead of locking up those who get caught taking bong hits. It's also nice to see Wichita listening to it's constituency.

One aspect of this matter that is troubling, however; is one of the considerations listed by the city of Wichita, as a possible reason ignore the voters. Wichita is worried about lost revenue via fines and other fees, collected from offenders. Suppose everyone in Wichita sobered up and quit smoking pot? Or perhaps got better at hiding from cops? Then how would Wichita deal with "lost revenue"? Is it possible that our judicial system is actually, in it's own way, discouraging addicts and alcoholics from recovery because of financial considerations? Say it ain't so! Wichita's New Petition To Decriminalize Marijuana

A new petition to decriminalize marijuana in Wichita Kansas is in the works. The old one was rejected by the city council when they went over each and every signature, looking for flaws and reasons to reject the petition. It had garnered over twice as many signatures as necessary to put decriminalization on the ballot, but the city council was determined to find a reason to deny the voters what they wanted, so they questioned a few of the signatures and told Kansans For Change that they were thirty-six signatures short. Would Kansans have this much trouble with a petition to put prayer in school on the ballot, despite the fact that federal law trumps it already? Probably not. A new petition should be in circulation on October 1. This blog will post a link.

Kansas Used To Have Cooler Signs

Instead of the overused Christian message, "God hates fags", and Jews, and politicians, and entertainers, and many, many others, Kansas once had people who actually cared about the world living within it's borders. Wichita Gets Unpopular With Voters

The city of Wichita, Kansas obviously does not want to decriminalize marijuana, but the people do. After a petition to put changes in the law about marijuana on the ballot this November had garnered more than enough signatures and was presented to the city council, the city council somehow determined that there were not enough signatures. Because citizens called city hall to let Wichita know what they really thought of that, the city has decided to allow Kansans For Change to draft a new petition. Okay, Wichita. Whatever. It appears you know what your voters want. Just don't make them ask for it 420 times.

Real quick, everyone, the citizens of Wichita Kansas and Kansas For Change would really like to decriminalize marijuana marijuana in Wichita, Kansas. They collected about twice as many signatures as they needed on a petition to get the decriminalization of marijuana on the ballot, so everyone who votes can vote on it. Instead of simply including this item for voters, Wichita is falsely invalidating over half of the signatures, and no matter how many signatures Kansas For Change collects, there always seems to be a reason to disregard the wishes of the people.  If you are part of this district, and you also wish to be part of a constructive change, please call the number printed under the picture for City Hall in Wichita, and tell them you want decriminalization of marijuana on the ballot.

Wichita Kansas May Have To Put Marijuana On The Ballot

A petition to decriminalize marijuana has gotten 5,800 signatures so far, in order to force Wichita, Kansas to decriminalize marijuana and change the nature of the offense from a criminal misdemeanor to a minor civil offense. This is over twice the number of signature needed, so Wichita really has no excuse to refuse to put the question of decriminalizing marijuana on the ballot. The petition calls for a twenty-five dollar fine in municipal court instead of the current criminal sanctions and requests that violations be treated the same way building code violations or uncontrolled pets are treated. I do not use recreational drugs and do not approve of recreational drug use, but I also do not approve of prosecuting victimless crimes with millions of dollars that can more productively spent on education. It's also a nice gesture to avoid the needless ruin of lives with what amounts to malicious prosecution and selectively applied sanctions. Power To The People!

The Doctor Made A House Call

Who said doctors don't make house calls anymore? Dr. Jeremy Howes, of Wichita Kansas made one yesterday! He was also booked for reckless driving and driving under the influence. When Dr. Howes is not making house calls or recklessly operating his Mustang, he is operating with Wichita Surgical Specialists.

The homeowner's surveillance video shows a pedestrian moving out of the doctor's path immediately before his house call. This could have had a much more tragic ending.

Naked People In Wichita

How did I miss this? A man and a woman in Wichita, Kansas, both twenty-two years old, got into an argument with each other and somehow ended up outside naked, yelling at each other. They also found a way to mess up a mobile home while fighting with each other, as this happened in a mobile home park. So police came and arrested both of them.

While all this sounds quite exciting, this blogger usually does not fight while naked, but does other things while naked, instead! That said, it all sounds very entertaining. How come no one ever goes outside naked and fights when I'm around to see it?

Reward For Tip Leading To Adam Herrman

An anonymous donor has offered a $50,000 reward for the tip that leads investigators in Kansas to Adam Herrman, (born Irvin Groeninger III) the eleven year old adopted boy who disappeared from Towanda, Kansas sometime in the fall of 1999, and was not reported missing until the fall of 2009. He was taken from his biological parents during their divorce and auctioned off by Kansas to the highest bidders, who were Doug and Valerie Herrman. The Herrmans did not report Adam missing when he disappeared; and their adult relatives followed suit and ignored the situation. While they told their relatives and friends that young Adam was "returned" to social services, it was rather common knowledge that they still received monthly stipend checks which actually belonged to Adam. We will probably never know exactly how receiving funds that belong to a child correlates with the child no longer living at address of the check cashers, but friends and family apparently did not find anything particularly out of the ordinary about all this. Meanwhile, Adam's biological parents and siblings, who were never offered reintegration, await information.

 

Why Is Kansas Trafficking The Children Of Veterans?

Kansas has a new source of marketable children for the adoption mill: the children of veterans and active duty military! No kidding. In it's ongoing search for healthy white children to target and grab, marketing them for the profit of the elite and up-and-coming Kansas version of "yuppies", Kansas is now grabbing the children of those who are either deployed military, or injured and retired military. Children born to drug addicts and children who have been abused are not as marketable in the adoption auction as healthy children, so Kansas is now grabbing healthy children who have not been abused for this money-maker. A recent investigation involving an adoption scam in southern Kansas features a judge who made this comment concerning a faux investigation he initiated when too many people realized that Child Protective Services in that part of Kansas had catered shamelessly to a Christian organization, Faith Builders, in relation to foster care placements and adoptions. Recommendations had been made by a supervisor, and these recommendations had led to adoptions, which had taken place without the appropriate due process that keeps adoption from becoming human trafficking: “I’ve asked DCF to review decisions made by Ms. Bidwell to see if that is still the direction the DCF wants to take, to try to avoid unnecessary litigation,” said Henderson, the presiding judge of the county’s four-member juvenile court. “It’s always important to get our children to adoption as quickly as possible.”........Wichita Eagle

It's always important to get children to adoption as quickly as possible? That's interesting, because children with behavioral problems are not adopted as quickly as possible. Neither are children with developmental delays or disabilities. The children who are auctioned off as quickly as possible are healthy children, and healthy children generally come from healthy parents and healthy homes. Actual complaints about the treatment of children who are wards of the court are usually ignored. Noble Rick Pendland, a foster parent who molested children in his care, is a prime example. His victims were ignored when they complained, the natural parents of his victims were also ignored. Now, a few of Pendland's victims have reached the age of majority, and have filed their own cases against him. Judge Henderson's statement about "getting children to adoption as quickly as possible" probably refers much more to money that is waiting to be made, rather than protecting children.

It's time for Daniel Gilyeat to get his children back, and it's time for Kansas to find some way, other than human trafficking, to fund it's up and coming christian yuppie-morons. A recent fatal shooting near Wichita is yet another example of an adoption of two young boys that was not well orchestrated and ended up horribly out of control. They started as foster children who were pushed into adoption rather than reintegrated with their natural mother. The older of the two boys found his real mother shortly after his eighteenth birthday. One thing lead to another, a fatal shooting occurred, and now the young man is charged with the first degree murder of his adoptive female parent, Melissa Bluml. The adoptive male parent is still in the hospital, at this writing, because of injuries sustained in the above mentioned incident. At the very least, counseling should have been available to all parties in this case, at the time of the adoption. No one should have been stripped of constitutional rights, and no one should have been deprived of natural family.

If a child is truly alone in this world, adoption should be a consideration, but why isn't Kansas even trying to keep families together? Is human trafficking just too lucrative? While Kansas may be able to do enough damage control on the situation involving Faith Builders to cover it up, and may be able to buy the silence of the witnesses against Noble Rick Pendland; expressions of rage, such as the violent murder of Melissa Bluml are harder for the rest of the world to ignore. Is Kansas smart enough to learn from it?

What were you doing where this picture was taken, in Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, on April 27, 2013? When you lost your phone in the same state, Oregon, during the week of November 11, was there anything authorities could find in it's hard drive, concerning the crime that was committed while you were standing and watching by the lighthouse, where this picture was taken? I may have already inadvertently done my civic duty in reporting it, when I told the Coast Guard you were lost, (my mistake, you weren't really lost, were you?) and gave them a location for you. But when you lost your phone recently, was there information in it that can help solve some of these mysteries that seem to initiate when you happen to be present?

Does Laura McNish, of Marshall County Kansas, always come to the aid of people who were present at crime scenes but don't come forward with the truth? Or is this something she only does when she has something to gain by dishonest means?

Someone in Kansas recently got into legal trouble in Wichita for assisting a crooked cop who didn't report serious crimes, as required by law. When the cop was investigated, she (the cop) bought a cell phone and enlisted the services of a third party use it to threaten and intimidate witnesses in hopes that she could scare them into saying what she wanted them to say, rather than representing the truth with their testimony. That third party answered for the whole affair in court, and the cop in question is not a cop anymore. It seems that the services of crooked cops are easier to terminate than the services of crooked prosecutors.

How much information was available for culling from your phone when you left it at the bus station, and do all of your buddies know how much of a risk it was to trust.....that is, use you?

Education Knocked Off Balence In Kansas Schools

Last week, Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet Elementary in Wichita, Kansas had a display on a bulletin board of five pillars, with an explanation of the five pillars of Islam. A tootie-frootie whacky-assed fundamentalist Christian who was taking up space inside the school for some reason or other took a picture of the bulletin board and included it on a facebook page, along with an hateful message about other religions, after the manner of Kansas Christians, who are some of the most hateful people on the planet. Westboro Baptist Church, anyone? Other Kansas Christians are not that different, only more lazy and less vocal. Here's what the Christian had to say:

"Students at Minneha Core Knowledge Elementary School in Wichata (sic) Kansas were met with this their first day of school,” a caption under the photo said. “This is a school that banned all forms of Christian prayer. … This can not stand.”

Unfortunately, schools in Kansas are not consolidated. This means that when a gang of angry, inbred, Christians from an insular community gangs up on a teacher or parent who wants the local school to be more like schools in the rest of the nation and less like daycares for the senile and demented, the angry inbred Christian usually gets it's own way. If the schools in Kansas were consolidated, every school would be answerable to the state for an educational curriculum that matched the rest of the nation's and enabled high school graduates to attend college. In Frankfort, Kansas, sixth graders are taught about Jewish culture by viewing the movie, "The Ten Commandments", starring Charleton Heston. Heston is much loved by the staff at Frankfort because of his ardent support of the National Rifle Association. This obviously, in their minds, makes him a great and factual example of the eventual culture of the so-called messiah, otherwise known as White Jesus, that mythical character whose existence, as told to children by Germanic Christians in Kansas schools, is not even possible, let alone believable. At the end of the movie, each and every class of sixth graders is not even accountable to name the Jewish religious observance that came from the text about which the movie was made! Yet Frankfort keeps this curriculum, despite it's inefficiency, and tells parents that children are learning about all cultures! To the right is a picture of Melissa Kennedy, who developed this "lesson plan".

The above cited article is the best comment this blogger has seen about the incident so far. It's writer was quite correct in pointing out that, as Kansas schools have certainly NOT banned all forms of Christian prayer, as the whacky-assed Christian states; the whacky-assed Christian is an obvious liar. Also, while Christian prayers can still be said at public school, as long as no one hears, and no one forces Christian prayers or gives obvious favor to anything that is Christian, there should be a way for a tootie-frootie wacky-assed fundamentalist Christian in Kansas to learn how to spell Wichita.

Another cultural lesson. If Kansas Christians get their own way in schools, everyone should.
