I Hope You Heard This, Laura McNish

I hope, Laura McNish, county attorney of Marshall County, Kansas, that you have been paying attention to recent events. Do you remember when you advised the principal of a public school here in Marshall County, Kansas to tell one of my children that she wasn't welcome in school because she might "ruin the culture"? Even though all the other children from my community ARE welcome there? My child, unlike most of the children who attend public schools in YOUR county, had no criminal history, had never used illegal drugs, and had never even tasted alcohol. You just wanted to hurt her feelings. She did not accept your monetary offer to render false information in court, like a couple of other people did, in that case that you LOST back in 2013, so you requested that she be the victim of discrimination.

Guess what? The nation is starting to see people like you more clearly. Not only are you racist; you favor bigots who offer you money over honesty and truth. The combination of modern technology and the First Amendment to our Constitution have conspired to make this a very awkward time in history for you to continue your crap. Your racist and white separatist goals were never good for any part of Kansas, and certainly have no place now. Equality and love are what I have always taught my children, and it looks as if I might not have been alone, after all.

I really hope you have noticed all the recent developments. Oh, by the way, was your son ever publicly held accountable for driving one of your vehicles over someone's cornfield in Marshall County, Kansas, in the summer of 2013? You know....the same way OTHER young people would have been held accountable? Or is accountability only for other people, and not your children?

Just resign, Laura. No one needs your racism, favoritism, and filth.

Who Really Protects Children?

This past Tuesday, an Ohio headstart teacher got fired for dragging a small child through a hallway by the arm. The picture below was snapped by another teacher. Neither the teacher or student have been identified in the news.

This teacher did not work for any of the school boards in Ohio, but a private company called Alta Care Group, that "partners" with Ohio schools and provides teachers. Since Alta Care Group does not answer to the government or directly to the parents, it is possible for Alta Care Group to maintain different hiring standards, or no standards at all, for the important task of hiring teachers. Why would public schools in Ohio want to do this? Are they saving money, somehow, by using a middleman to provide their teachers?

It is abundantly clear that Alta Care Group is not concerned with the safety of children. Despite the fact that this teacher was terminated, the taxpayers are left with too many unanswered questions, such as the teacher's name. The people of Ohio are entitled to this information, and entitled to know why this aspect of teaching has been handled by a private company. Also, any time a private company supplies a teacher for children, the parents have a right to know the qualifications and the procedures used when a teacher fails to perform. When these questions are not answered adequately by the government, and freedom of information act request usually solves the problem, but what if the problem is encountered with a private company that does not follow the law?

The Satanic Temple has a short term solution. If you sign up for emails and newsletters from The Satanic Temple, you can register your information with the Temple's Protect Children Project, and your local school board will receive an email, informing the school that you do not wish to be abused, and reminding school administration of your first amendment rights.

Donald Trump Says Sexual Harrassment Is Okay

Surprise, surprise. After it became public knowledge that Fox News settled some sexual harassment lawsuits on behalf of Bill O'Reilly, Donald Trump took time out of his busy, presidential schedule to publicly comment that O'Reilly should not have to be accountable for his bad behavior, and that behaviors that include sexual harassment should not garner consequences. But then, is anyone really surprised that Trump would opine in such a way? For that matter, is anyone surprised that Trump cannot, as president of the United States, find other, more important things to do?

Affluenza, A Petition From MADD

Remember Ethan Couch, the "affluenza kid"? Now that he has been caught, after Tonya Couch, his so-called "mother", helped him hide in Mexico in order to avoid the constraints of probation for the four murders of which he was convicted in 2013, and is fighting deportation, a judge has the option of transferring his case from juvenile court to adult court. Had he been held accountable for his crimes, or even if he had shown some gratitude for his light sentence and taken advantage of the opportunity to sober up, perhaps so many people would not be outraged at him and his mother.

Among those outraged are Mothers Against Drunk Driving. They have circulated a petition to show Texas how the rest of the nation feels about rich teens who drive drunk, kill people, and get free passes from the judicial system to do it again, while otherwise violating probation. The link is shared here, and it is not only worth reading, but worth signing. Petition To Fight Affluenza

Rest In Peace, Freddie Gray

There is a reason why many police officers do not like to be photographed and recorded while on duty. It has a lot to do with evidence, proof, irrefutable statements to community, and with accountability. Police officers often are not fond of answering to the communities they serve when they abuse others, and in some communities, racism and bigotry replace the law. Freddy Gray's spine was crushed during an arrest in Baltimore, Maryland. He later died, and police in Baltimore have admitted that there wasn't actually a reason to arrest Mr. Gray. There are statements from five of his assailants, but one of them refused to cooperate, citing his fifth amendment rights against self incrimination. Fortunately, one of Mr. Gray's friends turned on his cell phone camera and began filming.

And, for your reading pleasure, here's a list of the names of the officers who were involved in Gray's untimely death. Rest in peace, Freddie Gray.

Private Message

I really don't know who the hell you think you are, or why you, personally, feel that the same laws that apply to everyone else do not apply to you, but quite a few people in your neck of the woods seem to have an unfounded notion that as long as the isolated community agrees with your special crime, there should be no consequences! To which I respond: if you can't do the time, don't do the crime!

What the hell were you hiding, or trying to prevent? Just because of the support, in the form of enabling. you seem to attract, I'm pretty sure something is rotten in the State of Denmark, so to speak. Why don't you and your ilk manage your lives legally, from now on, like those of us who do not hail from this area, and stop using unlawful means of manipulating information? Because of the geographic location of a few of your "friends", perhaps federal attention should be given to all this!

New Anonymous Message

This is 2014's message. It is not about hacking, or picketing, a`la Occupy. It involves methods of dealing with government corruption that are practical, and should be taken as first steps, before extreme measure, such as picketing, are even considered. Know who your representatives are write to them. Vote. Get involved with your childrens' school. Hold your childrens' schools accountable for what they teach. Don't allow a corrupt judicial system the latitude of walking all over you or your community; write to the bar association or the supreme court, whichever is situation-appropriate. In the sidebar of this site is some useful information under "links" that can help with things such as public awareness about missing people, writing Freedom Of Information Act requests to government agencies, and contacting the American Civil Liberties Union. If the government agencies that continue to sell out Americans understand that Americans are holding them accountable, they WILL notice. You do your children and all the children of your community a favor when you force the schools to teach instead of brainwash. You do your community a favor when you stand up for the Constitution and liberty.

Smart Dog!

That video is hysterically funny! But the savvy pet owner will take this a step further, and attach a small camera to his pet's collar! That way, the dog, hiding or not, can get his own footage of any police activity on private property, or anywhere, for that matter! It's a whole new concept in accountability of law enforcement! Streaming video from a camera on a pet's collar to a the cell phone, Ipad, or computer of a third party might actually take a sizeable chunk out of brutal attacks by police officers. The prosecutor in Marshall County, Kansas would have to scare and bully defense witnesses all by herself!

Maybe a day will dawn, during my lifetime, when law abiding citizens will not have a need to install their own checks and balances when dealing with law enforcement and the judicial system.
