This video can actually serve as a tutorial for the reporting of abusive police officers. A very polite citizen telephoned the appropriate person for correct information concerning the individuals involved in an incident which, unfortunately, involved law enforcement's abuse of authority. The citizen got the stated his reason for calling, got the information he needed in order to share his video footage with his community, and promised to share it with the police department as soon as it was compiled on the proper website.

Who The Hell Chooses This Name For A Business?

There are some interesting business names and company logos in the Midwest! The one pictured above is headquartered in Iowa. Nothing against grain bins here, but a word that phonetically sounds like "suck-up" would not be this blogger's first choice in names for a company!

Kansas Refinery Pays A Fine

WIBW wanted to report on the fine owed by a refinery in Southeast Kansas because of an oil spill that took place during a flood in 2007, but apparently, did not want to name them in the article. So I will do it for them. The company that polluted and did not pay for cleanup yet is Coffeyville Resources Refining and Marketing. Here's the original article.

 

Publishing The Names And Addresses Of Gun Owners

A newspaper called the Journal News, in New York, has published the names and addresses of many of the Westchester and Rockland County gun owners in their paper. Readers were stunned to see this, and many people do not understand what the Journal News is trying to accomplish. The Second Amendment gives citizens in the United States the right to bear arms, and if a gun owner is on a public list of citizens who have purchased weapons legally, it naturally follows that the gun in question is owned legally. That said, why should anyone care if their neighbors own weapons or not? If the Journal News is trying to embarrass gun owners, they should save their ink. What they've actually done is inform the burglers, violent thugs, and the local Boogeyman about which houses are not armed, and made the occupants in those houses easy victims.

On a related note, there is a petition circulating the internet to garner signatures favoring the deportation of the CNN anchor, Piers Morgan. Piers Morgan will certainly have to do more than fill the air with words in order to be deported, but it might be effective, instead, to boycott the products advertised on CNN while Piers Morgan is voicing his silly and inexperienced opinion.
