Pastor Chris Knapp, Seneca, Kansas, And Mosaic Law

To the left is a headshot of yet another undereducated, bigoted, loudmouthed moron emitting really dumbass guff here in the state of Kansas. It seems that sometime within the last week, Pastor Chris Knapp, of New Hope Baptist Church, in Seneca, Kansas, told his congregation that our judicial system and law enforcement should round up all gay men and women and kill them. No kidding. That's what he said: “They should be put to death,” Knapp declared. “‘Oh, so you’re saying we should go out and start killing them, no?’ — I’m saying the government should. They won’t, but they should.”

This is amazing. First of all, the Torah is not as clear on the subject of homosexuality as Pastor Knapp would have all of his dumbass parishoners believe. Rabbis were not expected to be gay, but the rest of the population was not really addressed. One could always ask Pastor Knapp to translate his text word for word from Hebrew to English, but he would probably decline, citing his extreme lack of knowledge of Hebrew, or any language, including the one he speaks. Ancient Semites, in general, did not heavily address the subject of being gay. They, like all people of the time of Moses, were much too busy with life to worry about who might be gay.

Second, law enforcement in Kansas is truly occupied enough with routine stuff, like drunk drivers, bank robberies, murders, missing people, and actual crimes that constitute real police business. Asking the police to go out and round up all the gay people in order to shoot them is, in a word, insane. Just like Pastor Knapp. Where's the eye rolley when I need it? The sad problem to which law enforcement sometimes is obliged to respond is all of the bullying of gay children in Seneca who must go to school with children who attend New Hope Baptist Church. Since Jesus has been disturbingly in favor of bullying and violence in the Midwest in the past couple of years, more than one gay teenager in Northeast Kansas has had to make arrangements other than public school for education. This does not convince yours truly that Christian churches in Kansas have anything to offer a peaceful, intelligent person. Perhaps Chris Knapp is proud of all the violence and bigotry he inspires.

Third, the good Pastor Knapp, if he were able to read, might be surprised at some of the crimes that actually are written of specifically in the Torah. Any attempt to draw a picture of God, or name him, in any way, could garner the death penalty. Murder was punishable by death penalty. Most sex crimes were, as well. Perhaps someone in Pastor Knapp's family has committed one of those crimes; would Pastor Knapp be willing to pull the trigger, or bury the person to their waist and throw rocks until the person had died? Or is this just another agenda of bigotry, similar to Westboro Baptist Church? Topeka isn't very far from Seneca....perhaps these two churches are connected. Something that is not connected to any Baptist church in Kansas is Middle Eastern culture. These churches draw from traditions that are not their own, and encourage others to hate.

If Pastor Knapp really wanted to open his eyes and notice something, he could try looking around Northeast Kansas, and seeing all of the single, Christian, young ladies, who are, shall we say, "experienced" in a Jimi Hendrix sort of way. This is something that is prized above education by Kansas culture, yet quite frowned upon by the Mosaic Law. Of course, heterosexual, Christian, Kansas men would probably find young, single girls who refuse to become "experienced" very inconvenient.

Volunteers Needed To Help Find Mickey Shunick

Volunteers are needed in Lafayette, La. right now to search for Mickey Shunick, who went missing on her way home from a friend's house on May 19, on her birthday. She is twenty-two years old. She was riding a bicycle, which has been found...only her cell phone, and of course, Mickey, have not been found. If you live in that area and can help, show up at Blackham Coliseum between 8AM and 4PM. The tipline is 337-291-8633. Also, if you have any information about the white pick-up truck pictured below, police in Lafayette would like to hear about it.

A Silly Christian And An Efficient Rattlesnake

I always think I've heard it all until the next truly goofy thing I hear about. This is no different: while I used to live in West Virginia and have always been aware that there are Pentacostals in West Virginia who like to tease rattlesnakes during their church services, I pretty much ignored them most of the time. But this past Sunday, a Pentacostal pastor got bitten and died. Totally stupid.

The late Reverend Mark Wolford belongs to a sect that takes this verse in the New Testament, translated in English, at face value with no consideration or thought:  "Mark 16: 17-18 reads, "And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Now; Christians who encourage alcoholics to go ahead and drink because they have been "cured", ( Damascus Christian Community, Damascus Maryland) and who tell people with food allergies that it is safe to eat the stuff to which they are allergic because if a person is truly faithful, Jesus will cure the food allergy, ( Damascus Christian Community and Frederick Maryland Rescue Mission) are evil enough, but if my child visited a church where wild animals were teased and provoked during a church service, and got attacked by one of them, (one of the snakes, not one of the Christians) I'd never want to be reminded of that religion again. Actually, I hate being reminded of Christianity already, but this would make me hate it more. And this "laying on of hands" to heal; do they tell diabetics and people with TB that they no longer need their medications? Do they tell schizophrenics not to take their medications?

One more thing about using snakes in the church service to make Jesus happy.......why is Jesus happy when innocent animals are teased? And why would anyone who is truly spiritual and inspired want to use an unwilling participant in any service or ritual? The snake had obviously not converted, otherwise, he would not have bitten the pastor! Or am I asking for too much logic here?

Does the obvious contradiction of the rattlesnake bite killing the pastor despite the misleading interpretation of one verse in Saint Mark's gospel mean that the pastor's faith was all in vain, or nonexistant?

Pedro Hernandez, Norma Hernandez, And The Etan Patz Case

As many of us have known since May 25, 1979, six year old Etan Patz disappeared on his way to school in New York on that morning. As everyone involved in the case has known, there have been no clues, and Etan has never been found. But, very recently, after some digging was done in a nearby basement in an attempt to find evidence connected to Etan Patz, someone who claims to know all about the whole matter appeared from seemingly nowhere....ok, New Jersey......to tell us all what happened to Etan. A man named Pedro Hernandez says he killed Etan. Ok; if this is true, perhaps Etan's family can get some closure and hopefully, find peace. There is; however, one more person who claims to have known these facts for the past thirty-three years......Pedro's sister, Norma Hernandez.

The press, along with Norma, herself, seem to want to spin this as if Norma had gone to the police the minute she heard Etan Patz was missing, and heard that her brother was involved, and begged and pleaded with them to listen to her. She claims that she spoke up, over the years, and that her "testimony" was ignored. Yet, police in both New Jersey, where Pedro Hernandez quietly moved after not going to police with his story, and investigators in New York, insist that they have not heard the testimony from Norma Hernandez. She also claims that when she communicated her tip, she was asked by police if she was "angry" with her brother, and if that was why she was giving them the infomation. Here's the problem with that: some of the best tips given to law enforcement are from angry people. Seriously....never commit a crime and leave a witness, accessory, or an accessory after the fact angry with you; they can send you up the river later on in life. Every police officer worth his salt knows this. It is unlikely that Norma's information was discounted because of any friction between her and her brother. Also, while technology in 1979 was limited in terms of finding evidence and linking it to a suspect via DNA, thirty-three years have elasped. Norma Hernandez could easily have reiterated her testimony over the years, especially as she noticed differences in the way law enforcement treats missing child cases. She has had every day of every year in a thirty-three year span to do this. She could also have gone to the FBI, not only at the beginning of this nightmare, but at any time since May 25, 1979.

Norma Hernandez also sat on the information she knew, concerning the Etan Patz case, in 2004, when Jose Ramos, who had never been charged with that crime was sued in civil court for wrongful death. If police could not take a statement from her, Ramos's attorney would certainly have enjoyed introducing her information. She could have cleared this whole matter up in 2004. She didn't.

Stan and Julie Patz have not been quiet about their desire to know what happened to their son over the years. Could Norma Hernandez not see this? Why didn't she write them a letter, or contact the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children? There are many people who could have listened to her story, taken her statement, and investigated. Why did Norma wait until police in New York and the FBI started looking at other possible suspects and digging up basements in the SoHo neighborhood, where she and her brother used to work and where Etan went missing? She obviously knew Etan would not be found in the basement that was being excavated. Was she worried that another basement or hidden spot might yield clues that would bring law enforcement and the Patz's closer to the truth? Was she scared that if her brother's DNA was found on anything having to do with Etan, that he would testify that she was the person who knew about this, along with him? It is abundantly clear that we have not heard the whole story here. Could Norma Hernandez be more than just a reluctant accessory after the fact, as she would have us believe? It's just a question.

Missing Children Still Need To Be More Important

I came across this video on Facebook this morning. It seems that someone has finally given law enforcement a believable account and confession about what happened to Etan Patz on May 25, 1979. In the years since little Etan disappeared, technology has made missing children and adults easier to find, and law enforcement has been given different protocals to follow. Picture recognition, such as those ancient "milk carton" photos, now replaced with pictures in the entrances of Walmart stores, have helped bring home at least ten percent of missing children. But nothing replaces watchful parents and guardians, safe schools and other institutions that deal with children, and an observant public. This is a short video, but very infomative......there is even a clip of an artist working on an age progressed image of Kyron Horman. I hope the artist takes into account all the different ways Kyron might look with longer hair. I hope everyone will watch this video.

Oregon Has Some Missing Parents

National Missing Childrens Day. But someone in Oregon decided to commemorate this day by becoming a missing parent. According to witnesses, a woman simply left three children in a shed and didn't even tell anyone her name. Luckily, someone heard them, called police, and found them within a day. It is hard to imagine any circumstance that would make a parent feel the need to do something such as this, but it is wonderful that the children are alive and well. If anyone recognizes these three children, two little girls, about one and two years old, and a boy, about three years old, authorities in Portland, Oregon would like to hear from you.

Update: The mom for these three children has been found. No other details have been given, as of this post, by police in Oregon about this situation, but it could have been a lot worse.

National Missing Childrens' Day

It is May 25, the day Ronald Reagan designated as National Missing Childrens' Day, for Etan Patz, who disappeared on his way to the bus stop on May 25 of 1979, on his way to school. He was six years old. To mark the day, I decided to post this, once again. If it makes just one parent, teacher, or guardian think at a critical time, saving just one child from an horrible fate, it will have been worth my while to post it again.

Anyone who's listening, I will tell you a story. It's a true story, and it happened in October of 2009. Thankfully, it had a happy ending.

My oldest daughter used to be quite the avid cross country buff when she was thirteen years old. She was good at it, too. But one day, while she was at practice, and I was at home, just assuming that all was well, her coach drove past my house, stopping to talk to my eight year old son. Mr. Coach wanted to know if Mr. Eight Year Old had seen his older sister. Mr. Eight Year Old had not. No one had seen my daughter in over two hours. She was lost. Why was she lost? Because her coach had dropped her off by the side of a highway, four miles south of the town we live in, by herself, and just left her. It was part of cross country practice. No supervision. If she had been stung by a bee, had tripped and hurt herself, or had some other medical emergency, no one would have been there to help her. (at this juncture, you should know that I offered to volunteer to help with cross country, but since I do not attend a Christian church, my offer was rejected. The school staff thought it better to take chances with a child's safety in the way I just described) When my daughter realized that she did not know her way back, she started to wander of a side road, hoping it would bring her to a house, or another person. This area has a lot of commercial farms, and there were no houses or places my daughter could go to for help.

Back to my eight year old son.......Twenty minutes went by. While he did not realize the signifigance of his conversation with Mr. Cross County Coach, (also Mr. Guidance Counselor) he did realize that no one knew where his sister was, and it was getting later and later, and no one was looking for her. So he told me about it. I looked all over town, called all her friends, searched the school (why was the school left unlocked after everyone had gone home?) and finally started home to call the police, when a couple of senior boys drove up with my crying daughter in their car. It was still within a few minutes of when I found out she was missing, but this cross country coach had known all afternoon, and had not called the police, or spoken to me. Why? I guess whatever he cared about, it WASN'T my daughter. Well.........I actually DO care about my daughter. Nowhere else have I met a teacher that did NOT care, at least a little, about the children he teaches, but I think that is what the problem is with Mr. Cross Country Coach/ Guidance Counselor.

Suppose it was not young men from her school who found her, but a dangerous person? I have been told time and time again by the people who live in this small Kansas town that "those things don't happen here", and "there ARE no dangerous people here", but there was a sex offender whose address was with half a mile from where my daughter was abandoned. The police were quick to point that out, but the principal only argued his harmlessness as a sex offender with them and the school board is not worried about the incident.

My children no longer participate in cross country at their school. It isn't safe.

Two Local Missing Children Are Found

I am happy to post that Savanna Kochaniek, of Potowatomie County, Kansas, has been found, as has Jack Kenyon, of Kansas City, Missouri. Both children are safe, and it is always a pleasure to post about happy resolutions to cases such as these.

Debbie Bradley Thinks The Police Should Do More

For once, that oversized piglet in Missouri, named Debbie Bradley, whose ten month old daughter disappeared on either October 3 or October 4 of last year, said something that I think is true. She got on national television the day before yesterday and whined, among other drama ridden statements, that the "police aren't doing enough"! It seems that after ten month old Lisa Irwin disappeared, Jeremy Irwin's (Lisa's dad) credit card disappeared, as well. $69.00 was charged to at a stationary store. But here's the twisted part of all this: Joe Tacopina, Jeremy's lawyer, got on TV with Piggie and Jeremy and, with a straight face, agreed with Jeremy that someone used it at a website to change someone's name! As if! Cha.....sorry Jeremy, but it costs a lot more than $69.00 to change someone's name. And "websites" don't offer that service; courthouses offer that service. Upon closer examination of this "website", it was discovered that only stationary was offered, not illegal name changing services. Geesh! Perhaps Debbie the Pig knows where the stolen credit card went, along with knowing where the baby went. Perhaps. Ya gotta admit, Jeremy, she seems like the type.

As for the police "not doing enough", I resent that! Jeremy Irwin and his live-in, Debbie Bradley, have taken public funds for searches that have gone absolutely nowhere, yet when the police wish to speak with either of them alone, the answer is always "no". The FBI is also looking for Lisa. Debbie is right, the police are not doing enough! By treating Jeremy and his girlfriend as if they were a married couple and allowing them to refuse to give individual statements, they have, in essence, not done enough. So there you have it; the fat piglet said something with which I can actually agree.

Ok, Jeremy........THIS is what a real parent who loves his child does; just click on this link. A real parent who loves his child also never leaves his child in the care of someone like Debbie Bradley. From dropping out of high school to choosing booze over the antipsychotic meds that would have rendered her slightly sane but still not very smart, her choices do not reflect any concern for her children, or yours.

Noble Rick Pendland's Court Hearing Postponed

His Supreme Ugliness, Noble Rick Pendland, was scheduled to a hearing in Kansas yesterday, but one of the witnesses was sick, so it got continued. He is back in jail now, waiting to go to court on June 8 of this year in Cowley County, Kansas. For those who missed all of the excitement, Rick Pendland is a foster parent and a group home counselor for children, and because Kansas authorities did not listen to complaints from parents and children, he got away with abuse of his clients for years. The parents were brushed off, especially parents whose children were in foster care, because the social workers always "know best".  According to the Arkansas City Traveler, the charges read thus: "Pendland, who has a background in social services, foster care and education, has been charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sodomy and five counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child." But in Pendland's case, a "background" in social services, foster care, and education really just means that he has had illicit experience with children at the office, in his home, and at school. What a guy! Could Kansas possibly have found a better employee?

Savanna Kochaniek, Another Missing Teen

Fifteen year old Savanna Kochaniek disappeared from her home in Potawatomie County, Kansas overnight. Police think she ran away from home. She stands about 5' 5", has blue eyes, reddish, or strawberry blond hair, and is about 100 lbs. Whether she ran away or went missing by some other means, she needs to be found immediately. The number given to call if you see her or if you know something about her whereabouts is 785-457-3353.

Sierra Lamar; I Hope They Have The Right Guy

A twenty-one year old named Antonin Garcia Torres was arrested early this morning, at his place of employment, a Safeway store, for the kidnapping and murder of fifteen year old Sierra Lamar. She has been missing since March, the the Sheriff Laurie Smith, of Santa Clara County, has been watching Torres for weeks, because of some evidence he left on several of Sierra's personal effects, which were found in three different locations. His family is stunned, and does not believe he had anything to do with the case. The sheriff feels that Sierra was chosen as a random victim, and that Torres has no connection to her.

If he does have anything to do with the case, or if he is aquainted with Sierra, unbeknownst to her family, I hope that anyone with knowledge of this will come forward and share this information with law enforcement. The most important issue here remains: Sierra has not been found.

Bones Found At Former DeAnza Drive In Are Not Isabel's

The latest in the case of missing Isabel Mercedes Celis is that a construction worker found some human remains in the area, at a former drive in, and many people had jumped to the conclusion that the remains were Isabel's. The Tuscon Police Department does not think so. Isabel is still missing.

Open Letter To Dr. And Mrs. Timothy Monahan

Dr. Timothy Monahan and his wife, Jennifer, of Liberty, Missouri, went to Guatemala in 2008 and left that country with a kidnapped child. They did not kidnap the little girl, but they bought her from an organized crime ring that stole her from her mom, while she was taking groceries inside. They left the country as quickly as they could, despite the missing persons posters with little Anyeli's face. Later on, in Missouri, they denied that they had purchased a stolen child, but the DNA testing told a different story.

Dr. Monahan, why won't you just admit that you accidentally got involved with a bunch of dangerous thugs, and give Anyeli back to her mother? You may have noticed that I used the word "purchased" instead of "adopted" in the paragraph above. It was not a typo. You did NOT adopt Anyeli Rodriguez, and she is NOT your daughter. Adoptions happen when all parties are in agreement about the matter, and they go through the court legally, in all countries concerned. The identities of all parties are clear, no fake names, no phony birth certificates. This did not happen in the case of the missing child you brought back to America from Guatemala. What did happen was a kidnapping, followed by false imprisonment, followed by fraud, (falsified birth certificate) followed by abandonment, followed by the act of human trafficking in which you continue to engage. You may not have known what was happening at first, although if you are actually innocent, it seems as if you would have given the victim back to her parents, but now that you know, why do you continue to assert your illicit connection to the victim, albeit not initially your fault, over the legitimate connection of her birth mother? If you had done this in America, that child would be back with her family. Is a middle class Guatemalan mom really that much easier to impugn?

Ya know, Dr. Monahan, if Anyeli were my child, I would do whatever I had to do to bring her home. Your money, your big house, your housekeepers and receptionists.........all those things would not convince me that my child was better off with you. I don't think Anyeli's TRUE mother thinks so, either. Anyeli is simply not your child, that is all there is to it. Anyeli was the victim of a kidnapping, and she was found far away from her home, in a different country. Why do you think you have a right to keep her, now that she has been found? Did you purchase her fair and square, like a couch or a second hand car? Do you really think it's possible that you love Anyeli, even though her mother searched relentlessly for over five years to find her? What were you doing for those five years? Do you think you prayed as hard as Anyeli's family? I don't think it is possible that you experience love, because this situation has called for the reuniting of mother and child ever since you found out who she actually is, yet you resist. You are really a selfish pig, not a dad.

Suppose Kyron Horman, or Lisa Irwin were found? Suppose they were found living with families who have more money than their natural parents? Would those people, no matter how they got these kidnapped children, get to keep them, because they were rich enough to impugn the natural parents? Should it be okay for people with more money to just go out, and have kids stolen, from people with less money? Or would Kyron's parents demand him back, at once? But that's easy.........I have assumed that both children mentioned above are on American soil. Suppose a missing child from America is found in Guatemala? Should we tell the anxiety-ridden natural parents the same thing you are telling your prisoner's parents? Finders keepers, losers weepers? What if authorities in other countries are watching this, and think everyone in America is as creepy and evil as you? What if this sets some sort of a precedent, and other countries decide not to work with the United States in kidnapping cases anymore, because of you? Please give the little girl back.

I do not live too far away from you, Dr. and Mrs. Monahan. That brings me to another reason I really hope that you will do the right thing and let Anyeli's true parents have her back. This has caused a bit of an international fracus. The United States appears to be vested enough in human trafficking, during these dismal economic times, to look the other way while you keep a child who was kidnapped, but what if Anyeli's family decides not to look the other way? Suppose Loyda Rodriguez loves her child more than you can imagine loving anyone? Suppose Anyeli's family is not going to just give up? You obviously imagine that they have forgotten their daughter, but what if they haven't? Anyeli's own country wants her back, and; after all, you ARE holding  a Guatemalan citizen against her will. What if some sort of retaliation against you changes the area for all of us?  Can you see why many people, even if not vested in morals and love of children, would like to see you just do the right thing and give this kidnapping victim back to her Guatemalan family? I know you feel that you bought her fair and square, but human beings are not for sale.

Anyeli Hernandez Rodriguez. No legitimate connection to Dr. And Mrs. Timothy Monahan, of Liberty, Missouri.

Timothy And Jennifer Monahan, Missouri, And Human Trafficking

On November 3, 2006, a woman named Loyda Rodriguez, who lives in Guatamala, incurred one of a parent's worst nightmares. Her two year old daughter, Anyeli, was kidnapped. It took her five years and lots of help from Gautamalan authorities and Interpol to finally find her, have all of the DNA tested, and then obtain a Gautamalan court order to return the little girl to her family. It seems that little Anyeli was stolen, falsely imprisoned in an orphanage, then dropped off with a fake birth certificate, which has since been revoked, (Guatamala and Interpol think the REAL birth certificate is quite suitable) and adopted by a couple named Timothy and Jennifer Monahan, in Liberty, Missouri, under false pretenses. In other words, an illegal adoption. In more other words, human trafficking. Fast forward to July of 2011. The Monahans were ordered to return Anyeli to her parents. They were given two months to do this. It has now been almost a year, yet the Monahan's of White-Picket-Fence-Holier-Than-Thou-Christian-Midwestville have not complied. The adoption agency that handled the phony adoption has been prosecuted, along with all of the lawyers involved, and the DNA of the little girl from whom they stole everything from culture and family to given name matches the real mother, who dedicated five years to searching. Five years is probably longer then the Monahans have ever had to dedicate to anything! Their passport has been revoked in at least one country, and their victim's birth certificate has been revoked. Why have not they set her free?

Timothy and Jennifer have already decided to keep Anyeli. The fact that she was kidnapped, and that a real mother prayed, cried, and searched for years makes no difference to them. They have a house in Missouri, by God, and they can do whatever they want. Even if it means supporting the human trafficking industry. They will not even use the name on Anyeli's real birth certificate. They have a more white sounding name for Loyda Rodriguez's little girl: Karen. Only her name is not Karen. That makes Timothy and Jennifer guilty of brainwashing, as well as human trafficking. Note: had they just returned the child they bought with their middle class money to her rightful parents when they first found out the adoption agency operated by kidnapping children, they would not look so much like human traffickers. Their refusal to do the right thing after finding out that they had a child in their possession who had been declared missing is what makes them evil people. And if they wanted a "Karen", rather than an "Anyeli", why not just adopt a child in Missouri, who is more like them? Just let Anyeli go home.

Why is the United States unconcerned about a child getting kidnapped and trafficked? By allowing this, we are opening up the door for this type of crime to happen all the time. American authorities may think that parents in Guatamala do not matter as much as posers in Missouri, but what happens when the shoe is on the other foot, and the authorities of other countries refuse to return children who have disappeared in America, only to turn up in other countries? What will our government tell the White Picket Fence crowd, then?

Timothy and Jennifer Monahan, you could do everyone a huge favor, if you are reading this, and give that little kidnapping victim back to her parents. It's the right thing to do.

Jack Kenyon Is Missing

The National Center For Missing And Exploited Children has a listing for little Jack Kenyon, fifteen months old and missing from Kansas City, Missouri. This appears to have been a parental abduction. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Jack or his mother, please call 1-800-The-Lost.

Forty-three Missing Children In Kansas

Changing Kansas just posted about something that should have everyone who cares about children, especially in the state of Kansas, screaming for clarification. According to the District Attorney's office in Sedgewick County, 370 "children in need of care" have been removed from their parents' custody from July of 2011 to March of 2012; yet, the state of Kansas is claiming that the number is 327. That is a discrepancy of 43 children. Who are these children? What are their names? Is this a typo, or have they been accounted for? Are they missing? Where did they go? I think it's important that we find out immediately. Kansas?

Calleigh Harrison Missing For A Month

Calleigh Harrison has now been missing from Rockport Beach, in Massachusetts, for almost a month. What her mom told law enforcement was that she took her eyes off of Calleigh and Calliegh's older sister for just a couple of minutes, chased a ball, and when she came back with the ball, Calleigh was gone. Four days later, Calleigh's older sister started making statements about a man possibly taking Calleigh. Her missing persons poster is below. It can't hurt to keep her picture in sight until she is found.

Found After A Whole Week

Michael Sanchez was found unconscious in some brush today, after he rolled his truck over in San Jose on May 10! He was later reported missing. He actually survived without food or water. Never give up on finding someone who is missing until the person is found.

Born Again Jesus Needs To Worry About Bad Reviews

Some loony, toony born again church in Beaverton, Oregon , I think it's called Grace Bible Church, has filed suit in civil court against a former parishioner because she said bad stuff about them online! First, she gave them a bad review, in much the same way one would give a restaurant or a hotel a bad review, but zealous church folk, no doubt doing the lord's work, either had the reviews removed, or posted good stuff to cancel out the bad reviews. Then, the former parishioner started her own blog in order to say bad stuff without harassment. That's when the loony, toony born-agains decided that Jesus would certainly take a woman to court, rather than endure any public disagreement. That's also when CNN picked up the story.

I looked at the blog in question, and did not find anything that I would expect to moot court, so it will not surprise me if this frivilous lawsuit on behalf of Jesus gets dismissed. It's just a person who disagrees with a bunch of people who seem really whacked. And, the last time I checked, it was okay to go online and disagree with people who are not really whacked, as well as people who are. The blogger did not accuse the loony, toony minister of committing a crime, and he has not incurred a financial loss as a result of her comments. A church is a non-profit organization, anyway, so I do not know how a financial loss would be explained in court.......unless the born-agains want to start paying taxes on their non-profit, tax exempt, loony, toony born-again church. So..........where's the reason to sue? I'm simply not seeing it. Unless all born-agains are a bunch of crybabies, which has been my distinct and unpleasant experience.

Once upon a time, when I lived in what used to be a very small town called Damascus, Maryland, a bunch of loony-toony born-agains moved in nearby. They called themselves Damascus Christian Community, and were headed by a dude named Bill Woodrow, who had not actually gone to "pastor school", but had experienced a failed career as a teacher for deaf children. His comments about deaf children were hideous; he said that they were "stupid", and only as smart as "undomesticated animals". I can see why he did not succeed as a teacher. His sidekick was a creep named Mike Albro. Mike Albro's career was in broadcast journalism, I do not know what he thinks he knows about the bible, since he did not attend "pastor school", either. But okay.........people can do what they wish. What I hold against these people is the way they went door to door during election years and during gubernatorial elections pressuring the rest of us to only vote republican. It was also a bit shocking to hear about the death of a friend's father, and to also hear that Bill Woodrow had pressured her to go on a singles' retreat with the church while he died, instead of spending that time with her father and the rest of her family. This person was also thrown out of church for refusing to host a spaghetti dinner, asking if chili would be acceptable, instead. The fact that she would wish to serve something other than what church leadership wished was, according to Pastor Woodrow, a sign that she was a reprobate. The truth is, she suffers from celiac disease, and cannot eat anything containing wheat, such as pasta. Pastor Woodrow and Pastor Mike Albro wanted her to know that the only reason for a person to have celiac disease is a lack of spiritual faith, and that such a person is someone who "God" "detests". (Bill Woodrow's verbatim, over celiac disease) Alcoholics were generally told the same thing.....no one in Damascus Christian Community was allowed to go to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. This certainly marked the Bill Woodrow/Mike Albro bunch as very strange and very nasty. The community eventually took steps to stop them from harassing the neighborhood where their church was located. This is definitely one of the dark sides of Christianity, and this church was very cult-like.

Damascus Christian Community eventually fizzled out. Some of the born-again loony-toonies in question have not changed much, and Mike Albro moved on, taking his ministerial expertise to the Rescue Mission in Frederick, Maryland, and everyone who was unhappily exposed to Damascus Christian Community either ignored them, excluded them, or got peace orders against them. To this day, I don't think anyone would feel that Damascus Christian Community is worthy of the dedication and time of a whole blog. They are all just silly-assed lunatics. Nothing else. That's why I really think the woman who started the blog about Grace Bible Church in Beaverton, Oregon should just ignore her former church and live however she wants to live. She was upset because the nice brainwashed people at church were told by their pastor to stop speaking to her, and not even say "hi" to her in the grocery store. Well; Damascus Christian Community did things like that, too, but at the time, Damascus was a very tiny town, and Pastor Woodrow was new there. He did not understand that when people have known each other for years, it is hard to make them stop talking to each other. He howled and cried and screamed at people who spoke to "evil" folks, like yours truly, but was never able to make Jesus completely happy forcing his parishioners to only talk to certain people.(Haha....I refused to stop being friends with the people Pastor Woodrow tried so hard to brainwash!) The lady in Oregon really shouldn't worry about it. This is a brainwashing/isolation tactic.

Inasmuch as blogging or public information goes, there is nothing anyone can say about Pastor Bill Woodrow that is worse than his history in civil court, which is public information. He has been sued at least twenty-five times in Maryland, not counting Natural Resources infractions, for everything from unpaid credit card debt to failing to pay federal or state taxes. In fact, he needed to be "reminded" at least five or six different years to pay his taxes. Didn't Jesus pull money from the mouths of the fish he caught so he could pay taxes? If this did not work for Pastor Woodrow, maybe he lacks faith. Anyway, there's no need to dedicate a blog to him, as anyone who really has questions about that church or it's Jesus can just do some digging and find information that is pure fact, not tinged with opinion. There's no doubt in my mind that the same will one day go for Grace Bible Church, eventually, if not already. Just give them time.

Kansas River On Endangered List

According to American Rivers, the Kansas River is now endangered because of sand and gravel dredging. Sand and gravel dredging not only causes erosion and muddies the water, but it also pulls up old industrial pollutants, that have settled to the bottom, disperses them into the rest of the water, making drinking water unsafe in nearby communities. The Army Corps of Engineers is planning to expand it's sand and gravel shenanigans, anyway.

The Kansas River is the largest tributary of the Missouri River, and has been on the endangered list several times in the past. In 1995, it was on the list because of agricultural pollution and sand dredging; in 1998, agricultural pollution and municipal pollution, and in 2002, pollution and the removal of the Clean Water Act.

What does all this mean to Kansas Governor, Sam Brownback? Only the shadow knows! One thing is certain, though; if the Kansas River does not get more protection, Browncrack will not be able to hold any public baptisms there!

If You Missed Church On Sunday

If you weren't in church this Sunday, especially in Kansas, you should know that the legislature in Kansas just passed a ban on Sharia law. Kansas, at this writing, is still part of America, despite America's separation of Church and State. Kansas also, while often unwillingly, is still obliged, as part of America, to recognize the Constitution and the First Amendment rights of everyone. Even the Supreme Court case in 1963, won by Madeline Murry O'Hair, guarentees all American children in public schools the right to a religion-free learning environment. So..........why the need to re-outlaw an introduction of religion in government process? And especially, why the need to single out Islam?

One very obvious possible theory has to do with bigotry. Most Muslims do not share the same cultural background as the average Kansan. Kansas has elected a Republican Speaker of the House, Mike O'Neal, who has made it abundantly clear that he does not like Obama because of his father's race. While Mike O'Neal is just one person, one must remember that he was elected by an entire state filled with people who, apparently, agree with him, and have not demanded his resignation. Another theory about why Islam needs to be singled out in Kansas for discrimination and unfair biases is, of course, the promiscuity and lack of honor favored by the Christian population of Kansas...see the above reference to Mike O'Neal's comments about our President. Muslim women dress modestly, and say "no" to Christian men. Also, Muslim communities have a much higher regard for their national laws and their families than many of the Kansans who scream about Sharia law, yet have never met a Muslim or uttered a word in another language. It's amazing, the number of people who can be tricked into thinking that the mainstream of a culture is a mirror image of one lunatic fringe or another. It's also disappointing.

Something that will be very interesting will be the application of this law in unexpected ways. Suppose the Supreme Court gets involved to apply the same legal vehicle to Christianity in Kansas as Kansas wants to apply to Islam? Keep in mind that all this crying about a possible application of Sharia law is an imaginary problem, because of the First Amendment. So.....what if the American Civil Liberties Union finds itself hip deep fighting the resulting discrimination here in Kansas? It's quite clear that all Kansas is actually trying to do with this ban is legitimatize discrimination and make Christian Kansans feel good about being bigots. If Kansas would simply abide by the laws already enacted by this country, there would be no need to create new laws, especially new laws that are worded awkwardly enough to create litigation that can last for generations.

Update On Isabel Celis

Unfortunately, Isabel Celis, six years old and missing from Arizona, has not been found yet. And she has been missing for three weeks. Sadly, Isabel's parents have separated, and apparently, Isabel's dad, Sergio, did not get custody of Isabel's brothers. I hope Isabel does not get forgotton in all of this.

Michael Plumadore Pleads Guilty

Today, Michael Plumadore, of Indiana, but still wanted on an outstanding warrent in Florida, entered a guilty plea in the murder of nine year old Aliahna Lemmon this past December 22."Plumadore, who relatives described as a trusted family friend who helped care for Aliahna’s dying grandfather at the mobile home park where the family lived, had been looking after the girl and her 6-year-old sisters because their mother was sick."........Herald Mail, Hagerstown, Maryland. To which I can only say, "Trusted family friend? Really?" Growing up and having children is a very good reason to grow up and make better "trusted" friends than Michael Plumadore.

Breast Fed Babies

Wow. I really don't understand why the subject of breast feeding one's children is such a big deal. That's how I fed my kids. That's how all babies were fed before bottles and formula were invented. Not that I would breast feed a child as big as the boy on the Time Magazine cover......I always stopped nursing as soon as I discovered that I was pregnant again. The youngest was nursed until he was almost three. It worked out very well; no sour-milk bottles, no getting up at night to fix bottles, no formula. Even the best formula is no match for mother's milk. Diapers of breast fed babies are not as stinky as diapers from bottle fed babies, too. Of course, at work, I had to use a breast pump. And I have had many a rude boss or co-worker who did not understand, but I did it anyway, and among sacrifices that a parent can make for a child, that one is rather small.

A dynamic that goes hand in hand with breastfeeding is that, even if by default, one generally has to HOLD one's baby while breastfeeding. With all the the benefits of breastfeeding for the baby, that is probably the most important one. It would be interesting to conduct a study on mothers who abuse or murder their children, and determine how many of those mothers breastfeed. I cannot imagine wanting to harm a baby while I hold and nurse that baby.

Once again, I really don't understand why breastfeeding garners such a huge public reaction. It isn't sexual, and before bottles and formula, it was the only way to feed a baby. I also had no idea that by feeding my babies, I was inadvertantly breaking the law in a couple of the states where I publicly nursed. Totally amazing; children can become the victims of terrible crimes and justice never be served, but there's a problem with a mother feeding her child the way nature intends. This population gets worked up about the wrong issues.

Samantha; a proud, breastfeeding mom.

Mothers Day Gift For Terri Horman

After posting a Mothers Day card for Debbie Bradley, incubator of the missing Lisa Irwin, from Kansas City; it seemed only fair to remember Terri Horman, sometime step parent of young Kyron Horman. To date, Terri has not cooperated with any efforts to find Kyron, who disappeared from his school in Portland, Oregon, on June 4, 2010. Her testimony could help bring Kyron home, but she seems completely unconcerned with this aspect of parenting. In honor of this, here's a hoodie for Terri Horman!

Mothers Day Card For Debbie Bradley

Here's a card for Debbie Bradley, incubator of Lisa Irwin, the baby from Kansas City, Missouri, who has been missing for seven months now. Debbie Bradley is a lot more cooperative with her defense attorney than she is with investigators who would like to find Lisa.

Happy Mothers Day! Where's Lisa?

Mormon Police Force

Interesting. Colorado City, Arizona, which was once the home of the Mormon Rev. Warren Jeffs, before state prison became his home, is the home of a bunch of cops who do not enforce the law or respond to emergencies, but act as the muscle of the Mormon Church in that area, instead. It has become clear that this police force will turn a blind eye to violence, encourage child abuse and child molestation, and that members of the police force knew exactly where Warren Jeffs was hiding when he was on the FBI's most wanted list, and helped him flee and ellude. How many missing children would be found, if the jurisdiction handled by this police force was thoroughly searched? It's just a question.

Christian Paster Tells Parents To Punch Their Children

Yes; you read the title of this post correctly....some Christian creep of a Baptist pastor told the parents in his congregation to punch their kids for behaving outside of gender norms. And we wonder why we have so many problems with abused, confused, and sometimes murdered and missing children! First of all, while a lot of parents do spank their children, and spanking is not necessarily unlawful, ( the BEST parenting techniques eliminate the NEED for such a negative sanction!!!) going a step further and actually punching a child is certainly abusive. And then there is the grave question of why a parent would be so unaccepting of a child who occasionally acts in ways that do not appear to fall within certain gender norms. If my daughter dresses up as Spiderman on Halloween, should I harm her for it, and then reject her if she still wants to be Spiderman on Halloween? Or if my son plays a female in the school play, should I stop being proud of him and reject him as my son? What, exactly, is Rev. Sean Harris saying?

This is what he is saying:
"So your little son starts to act a little girlish when he is four years old and instead of squashing that like a cockroach and saying, 'Man up, son, get that dress off you and get outside and dig a ditch, because that is what boys do,' you get out the camera and you start taking pictures of Johnny acting like a female and then you upload it to YouTube and everybody laughs about it and the next thing you know, this dude, this kid is acting out childhood fantasies that should have been squashed.
Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok? You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male. And when your daughter starts acting too butch, you reign [sic] her in. And you say, 'Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up.'"

Rev. Sean Harris is saying that parents should not allow their children to be anything outside of accepted gender norms in a society where gender norms are largely dictated by the entertainment industry and the advertising industry. If that actually works for the masses, perhaps it isn't a big deal. But what about the occasional boy or girl who is born in this population but is not interested in the choices offered on TV, in church, or by his or her peers? Should parents immediately begin to assault and batter such a child? Pastor Harris's attack is on the Gay Community, but acting outside of gender norms is not necessarily a Gay thing. As children grow up, we find that sometimes a male is a better custodial parent and sometimes a girl is a better police officer or soldier. It happens. Should those children suffer abuse until they finally gave up on their dreams and areas of talent and expertise? If Rev. Harris's Christian church has it's way, the answer appears to be "yes". If a child grows up to be a Gay man or woman, should that child's parents no longer love him or her? Should that child be the recipient of abuse throughout childhood, thereby perpetuating all of the generational problems incurred by abuse?

The good Rev. Sean Harris later countered that he was only joking about punching a child, but here is a clip from the sermon in question. Does it sound like he is joking?

Sergio Celis Sings: What Is Wrong With This Picture?

Hmmm.......perhaps I am being a bit hypercritical here; but, singing in choir at church while one's daughter has been inexplicably missing for just two weeks? Somehow, that does not seem like something one is such a crisis would do. And of "Becky" Celis, Isabel's mom....of course she should pray, and no one would tell her otherwise, but to say that it will bring Isabel home? So far, what ELSE, and I mean what ELSE that happens to be more substantial, has this woman done to bring her missing daughter home?

Isabel Celis And Her Parents' "Friends"

It seems that I have picked up a whole new breed of naysayers here in Siri's World.....people who want me to know that they know the family of Isabel Celis personally, and also want me to know that these parents should not be questioned or expected to act as concerned parents because they simply are above doing anything that isn't legal or right. Even if I wanted to believe that, it has already been established that Sergio Celis, Isabel's father, has a record for DUI. While not damning, in and of itself, it shows that on at least one occasion, Mr. Celis lacked respect for the law. The tone of the dissenting comments also suggests that because both parents are employed, there is no possibility that a child could have incurred abuse in their home. Sorry, unhappy commenters, but crimes against children have been committed many, many times by people who hold down regular jobs. Nice try, though. Also, the fact that Isabel's mother works as a nurse has nothing to do with possible guilt or innocence. Some time in the near future, I should really put together a post containing the statistics of the number of nurses and other medical professionals who are addicted to prescription drugs. Hopefully, no one is overlooking possibilities in Isabel's case because of the chosen professions, favored churches, or educational pursuits of the people in her life. Certain types of tragedies do not discriminate.

Here is a recent comment someone sent me, because the commenter did not agree with my statement that Isabel's parents were not vocal enough. "The parents said in a recent interview that they were unwilling to be on camera because they did not want to take attention away from looking for Isa. I don't think it is completely necessary for them to make a public statement, as long as they are fully cooperating, and the police have confirmed they are." Now; Mr. and Mrs. Celis are purporting that Isabel was kidnapped by a stranger. And so are some of their "friends"........here's another comment, "know the parents. know the kids. know more than just the news coverage."  Ok, disgruntled gentleposter, here's what I know, straight from the U.S. Department of Justice: 75% of children abducted by strangers are dead within the first three hours! No joke. By this time, I am sure Mr. and Mrs. Celis have been made aware of this too, if they did not already know. It has been about two weeks since Isabel was reported missing. The police have begged the parents to be more vocal and public about their pleas. And if the stats that I just quoted are not enough reason for Isabel's parents to get over their camara-shy and media-phobic tendencies, then I don't know what is. As long as the police are asking them to do things that they are not doing, such as showing a stronger sense of urgency on behalf of this little girl or speaking to the public, then pardon the rest of the world if it sees your friends as "uncooperative"! Most parents of missing children won't shut up!

Everyone who enjoys clouded vision can continue, if they so choose. I am still waiting for Isabel's parents to act with the urgency of a parent whose child has been kidnapped by a stranger.

Escaped Prisoner

On April 18, a creepy, convicted child molester escaped from Lansing, and is still at large. His name is Gary Leslie Furthmyer, but he sometimes lies, and says it's Frank Schell. There are reports that he has stayed in a couple of homeless shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. If you see him, don't hesitate to let the police know. This is what he looked like for his mugshot:

Almost too ugly to be real.

Isabel Celis And Her Parents

One of the first things I noticed about the coverage of the Isabel Mercedes Celis disappearance was the absence of statements and pleas from Isabel's family. The first day, I was simply hoping she would be located before anyone needed to hear a statement from Mr. and Mrs. Celis. I found it a little unusaul that there was only one picture of her in circulation in this age of digital camaras, but soon, a decent missing persons poster of her was put together, with the day, time, and place relevant to the missing persons report, so I went ahead and posted a copy of it on this blog. Also, there have been numerous pleas from law enforcement, begging for help from the public, but just one short, monotone, pre-fab statement read from Isabel's parents. Now, there has been another assault in Tucscon, involving three preteen girls and an unidentified male stranger, and I can't help but wonder why Isabel's parents have not reacted vocally to this. It's a very big deal, in light of a missing six year old girl from the same geographic area, and these parents, theorectically, should be sensitive to each and every possible lead. Eagerly. Where is their reaction? I certainly have not seen it, and the police deny interceding it. The media has begged Mr. and Mrs. Celis for interviews. Why haven't they made their hopes for the return of little Isabel common knowledge? It has now been eleven days.
