Reflections On Citizen Cain

I have compiled a bunch of comments that were sent to me about the Miranda Cain matter; this post, and this post, and the position I take, concerning the community of Marshall County, Kansas, and crime committed by high school students. I published many of the comments I received directly in the respective discussions because those comments reflected intelligent thought, and asked intelligent questions. A few comments did not. Those comments either got deleted, or saved, in order for further address in another post. Now, I will write this "other post", and share the sillier comments, which I did not find enhanced any intelligent conversation about Marshall County, crime, or Citizen Cain's individual case.

Here is our first dumbass comment, made anonymously by someone who thinks that serious and outlandish crime should go unnoticed by everyone and permitted to continue as long as the spoiled brat feels like destroying lives.

"First of all God will judge Cain, that's not your job... Second, I have a feeling if God is judging your comments you may soon be entered into a psych ward, get a life and quit getting off on someone else's problems and some towns issues... Marshall county and Marysville is a great place to call home and raise a family. There are rotten apples in every batch, focus on the good ones, I know plenty of them in Marysville."

My answer? First of all, "the People", of whom I am one, judged Cain already, via the judicial system. Before Cain was arrested, God didn't care what she did or who she hurt, as long as she was willing to vote Republican. It's a miracle that she was prosecuted in the climate of selective justice we have, here in Kansas, but I am grateful that the police in Marysville were willing to "judge" her long enough to put a stop to her "distinguished service". If "God" is judging my comments, he should be a lot less concerned about them and a lot more concerned about some of the things children in Marshall County have been taught to do, and led to believe are healthy and harmless. Yes, rotten apples are plentiful, but if we remove them, the ethylene gas and plant hormones that cause them to ripen prematurely will cease to "rot" the rest of the apples. Shouldn't we look at human trafficking the same way? As for being "entered into" a psych ward, what the hell is that? Is it anything like being "entered into a ledger" or "entered into" evidence? Evidence! Ask Citizen Cain about it!

Now for the second loony-toony dumbass comment:

If you don't like the school then shut the heck up and move somewhere else! You are the most judgemental person I have EVER come across. It's idiots like you that should NOT be able to have a blog.

As I have told everyone in the past, even if I move to Brazil, I will not stop writing about Kansas. Especially Marshall County. What's wrong with judgmental types? Do they get in the way of your crime, and other unflattering secrets? Why would you want to deny me my first amendment rights, and have Google tell me I cannot maintain any blog or website? Do the observations and opinions of others bother you so much that you would wish to see the Constitution null and void? That's extreme. Perhaps you should move to a country that does not have the same freedoms as America!

And now here's the third totally dumbass reflection on this mess, along with my response.

"First off maybe instead of bashing people you should know the whole story first. The 8th grader asked Miranda to do it. Her mom is a worthless parent and doesnt care about her kids. She was doing it before Miranda decided to join in. So instead of a one sided stupid post. Know the whole story."

This comment assumes that a child whose parents are not good at parenting somehow deserves to be victimized by the likes of an abusive Marysville High School student, and that Citizen Cain's abuses of children are okey-dokey, because the child was not important to anyone in Marysville. This is the kind of person your faithful blogger truly hates. No kidding. There is no evidence that has been shared with the public about the eighth grader's attitude, and it really doesn't matter, anyway. Citizen Cain is an adult, and child abuse should have been out of the question. Why didn't Miranda Cain report the child's activities, if the child was already involved in crime? I really don't have to know the whole story in order to respond to this guff with the right questions. In fact, silly-assed commenter, I await your answer to that! Why, in bloody hell, didn't Miranda Cain simply report the juvenile's crime to the proper authorities? Or was the juvenile truly involved in crime before the Marshall County High School senior got involved? My post was not one sided, and neither are my questions.

Tomorrow, the results of Citizen Cain's trial will be published in the Marysville Advocate.

Vicar Hugh Cranford Should Pick On Someone His Own Size

A few months ago, I posted about a Lutheran vicar, by the name of Hugh Cranford, who was charged with indecent liberties with a minor. Today, he had his preliminary hearing. The information that was shared at that time was rather disturbing, and should have been shared immediately when the kindly vicar was charged. His crime was not one of simply dating a young woman one or two months shy of her eighteenth birthday.....he is actually charged with molesting two brothers, one ten years old, the other, thirteen years old, while he was staying in their parents' home. Not only was I shocked at the number of comments I got from various parts of Northeast Kansas, some of them unprintable, defending this man, I am very disappointed that none of the publications reporting on this matter felt that any Christian parents in the area deserved to be warned about this minister. Coverage was cursory at best; very little information about the nature of the charges was available. Cranford's church and the  media in Kansas went out of their way to cover for him. This man is free on 250,000 bail; that means he is free to re-offend until the judge throws down the gavel in a verdict at some future date. Christians, don't get your pastors at Kmart.

Update: The reverend is expected in court on May 6, 2013.

Where's Lisa, Debbie?

I must say; I've had some interesting hits to my tracker in the last couple of months. Also some interesting comments, some published and some not. Here's a message to someone who wants all of the media attention to Lisa Irwin and her missing persons case to stop. The problem is, Lisa has not been found. And Lisa's parents have not cooperated, very noteably, Lisa's mother, Debbie Bradley. To the left, is Lisa's missing persons poster, with the word "kidnapped" shaved off. Perhaps the word "missing" describes the situation better.

Kansas Jesus Strikes Again

I got an interesting comment today from someone rather local to me. This person did not take enough pride in statements made to take the credit for the same, and did not leave a name, but that's okay; I have a tracker. While this person lacks the pride necessary to sign a name to an inflamatory comment, this person has the cheek to claim Jesus, yet feel superior to others and mock those who are not as fortunate. I was also invited to respond, which I did when I first read the comment, but I will take my response a step further. Here's the comment:

"Oh Miss Juli! Once again you just crack me up :) If Mitt doesn't win this election you can pretty much kiss the USA goodbye, but then, you would really like that, wouldn't you? You are the type that doesn't really give two shits about the flag, thinks God doesn't belong....ANYWHERE, and is in love with those wonderful goverment handouts! Of course you love Obama! Go ahead and attack me with your wisdom......I can't wait :)"

This neighborly sentiment was spewed at me via this post. It has to do with Mitt Romney, and his recent comments to the effect that forty-seven percent of Americans are people who do not "matter". Since, for such a short comment, there are so many wackyassed bits of mean spirited nonsense, I will analyze the wackyassed bits one by one. First off, my extreemely local troll, I have been around for quite a while. I have voted in lots of elections, and I have been happy at the outcomes of some, and disappointed by others. Geesh......I was here, and I was American, when Ronald Reagan won two elections! If that wasn't nauseating enough to make me "kiss the USA goodby" why would I "kiss the USA goodbye" if Romney won? I am a citizen here, and I have a right to live here! If you don't like that, YOU can kiss the USA goodbye!

As for not giving "two shits" about the flag and thinking that "God" does not belong....ANYWHERE; just WHO do you think you are talking to? You have no idea where my husband and I have spent our lives before you met us! How dare you? Were you one of the people who spat on Vietnam vets after that conflict?

I stated in my original answer to you that if "God" wishes to be somewhere, he or she can certainly find a way to do that without the use of your religious doctrines or mine. Thomas Jefferson felt the same way, and as a matter of fact, in 1963, there were two court cases that made their way to the Supreme Court, one was the famous Madalyn Murry O'Hair case, in Baltimore, Maryland; the other was in Pennsylvania. The cases were combined, and the Supreme Court of our great nation ruled that it is not constitutional for people like you to bring your "God", whoever the hell he is, to school, and harrass and annoy people like me with "him", or harrass and annoy people like my children. Chances are quite strong that you, personally, have never attended a public school where "God" was actually present legally. Unless he enrolls as a student, works in the building, or signs in at the office, he should not be lurking in the hall, anyway. So there you have it: it is not unamerican, or uncaring about the flag at all for me to frown upon religious nonsense being brought into public schools. If you want a Christian school, why don't you do what other religions do, and send your children to a private school?

Government handouts........I don't get any. Unless you think public school, a library, roads, policemen, and a health department are "handouts". They are not. Yes, I have guardianship of a child that neither my husband or I popped out. We merely have guardianship of him because we care what happens to him. No foster care stipends, so adoption subsidies. We took responsibility for him because we care. Is that so hard to understand? Seems to me that the "God" you keep talking about yet ignoring at the same time would care about this child, too. If you don't like that, perhaps you should shut up about God. Read the Sermon on the Mount. Study the Beatitudes. Also, didn't Jesus, himself, say that it is "harder for a rich man to get to heaven than it is for a camel to get through a needle's eye"? Jesus had no problems with the poor, and he had no problems with the idea of giving people what you call "handouts", either. If you really love Him so much and wish to follow in His footsteps, I suggest you stop mocking those who are not as fortunate as yourself. You are beginning to look and sound evil.

"Of course you love Obama"...........You know, local troll, I can "love" and vote for any candidate I choose. That's another one of my constitutional rights that you seem to think you deserve, as a votor, but that I somehow do not deserve. Get over yourself!

Lastly, I never invited you to use my first name. I generally only invite people with whom I share friendship to do that, and you have shown me none. Please don't do it anymore. And a word of warning; if my children hear one word about your diety in their school, the school will be hearing from my attorney. After your kind and evangelical comments to me, I do not want to hear about your sweet spiritual ideas ever again.

Isabel Celis And Her Parents' "Friends"

It seems that I have picked up a whole new breed of naysayers here in Siri's World.....people who want me to know that they know the family of Isabel Celis personally, and also want me to know that these parents should not be questioned or expected to act as concerned parents because they simply are above doing anything that isn't legal or right. Even if I wanted to believe that, it has already been established that Sergio Celis, Isabel's father, has a record for DUI. While not damning, in and of itself, it shows that on at least one occasion, Mr. Celis lacked respect for the law. The tone of the dissenting comments also suggests that because both parents are employed, there is no possibility that a child could have incurred abuse in their home. Sorry, unhappy commenters, but crimes against children have been committed many, many times by people who hold down regular jobs. Nice try, though. Also, the fact that Isabel's mother works as a nurse has nothing to do with possible guilt or innocence. Some time in the near future, I should really put together a post containing the statistics of the number of nurses and other medical professionals who are addicted to prescription drugs. Hopefully, no one is overlooking possibilities in Isabel's case because of the chosen professions, favored churches, or educational pursuits of the people in her life. Certain types of tragedies do not discriminate.

Here is a recent comment someone sent me, because the commenter did not agree with my statement that Isabel's parents were not vocal enough. "The parents said in a recent interview that they were unwilling to be on camera because they did not want to take attention away from looking for Isa. I don't think it is completely necessary for them to make a public statement, as long as they are fully cooperating, and the police have confirmed they are." Now; Mr. and Mrs. Celis are purporting that Isabel was kidnapped by a stranger. And so are some of their "friends"........here's another comment, "know the parents. know the kids. know more than just the news coverage."  Ok, disgruntled gentleposter, here's what I know, straight from the U.S. Department of Justice: 75% of children abducted by strangers are dead within the first three hours! No joke. By this time, I am sure Mr. and Mrs. Celis have been made aware of this too, if they did not already know. It has been about two weeks since Isabel was reported missing. The police have begged the parents to be more vocal and public about their pleas. And if the stats that I just quoted are not enough reason for Isabel's parents to get over their camara-shy and media-phobic tendencies, then I don't know what is. As long as the police are asking them to do things that they are not doing, such as showing a stronger sense of urgency on behalf of this little girl or speaking to the public, then pardon the rest of the world if it sees your friends as "uncooperative"! Most parents of missing children won't shut up!

Everyone who enjoys clouded vision can continue, if they so choose. I am still waiting for Isabel's parents to act with the urgency of a parent whose child has been kidnapped by a stranger.
