How does one "lose" a child? The federal government, under Donald Trump, has separated many, many families detained by ICE, but their current tactic is to send the parents home without their children. No kidding. At this point, there are over 1400 children of whom the United States has "lost track", and Jeff Sessions is claiming that the United States is not responsible. That simply isn't so. Whoever has custody of a child is responsible for the child's whereabouts. Just ask the stepmother of Lucas Hernandez, Emily Glass.

Operation Cross Country And Junction City, Kansas

It seems that Friday the thirteenth was very exciting, last week, in Junction City, Kansas. The FBI apprehended some folks who were doing what teachers and administration from USD 380, Vermillion, and what former Congresswoman Sharon Schwartz's husband have emphatically stated never happen in Kansas: sex trafficking of children. The thing that makes Kansas very different from other states is the size of the population. There are only about 3 million people in Kansas, making it one of the most sparsely populated states in America, especially for its size; yet one of its cities, Wichita, is in the top five recruiting cities in the entire country for finding and recruiting victims! It does not matter what congressional representatives in Kansas tell us or what school principals tell us: the problem, according to the FBI, is real.

Reflections On Citizen Cain

I have compiled a bunch of comments that were sent to me about the Miranda Cain matter; this post, and this post, and the position I take, concerning the community of Marshall County, Kansas, and crime committed by high school students. I published many of the comments I received directly in the respective discussions because those comments reflected intelligent thought, and asked intelligent questions. A few comments did not. Those comments either got deleted, or saved, in order for further address in another post. Now, I will write this "other post", and share the sillier comments, which I did not find enhanced any intelligent conversation about Marshall County, crime, or Citizen Cain's individual case.

Here is our first dumbass comment, made anonymously by someone who thinks that serious and outlandish crime should go unnoticed by everyone and permitted to continue as long as the spoiled brat feels like destroying lives. 

	"First of all God will judge Cain, that's not your job... Second, I have a feeling if God is judging your comments you may soon be entered into a psych ward, get a life and quit getting off on someone else's problems and some towns issues... Marshall county and Marysville is a great place to call home and raise a family. There are rotten apples in every batch, focus on the good ones, I know plenty of them in Marysville." My answer? First of all, "the People", of whom I am one, judged Cain already, via the judicial system. Before Cain was arrested, God didn't care what she did or who she hurt, as long as she was willing to vote Republican. It's a miracle that she was prosecuted in the climate of selective justice we have, here in Kansas, but I am grateful that the police in Marysville were willing to "judge" her long enough to put a stop to her "distinguished service". If "God" is judging my comments, he should be a lot less concerned about them and a lot more concerned about some of the things children in Marshall County have been taught to do, and led to believe are healthy and harmless. Yes, rotten apples are plentiful, but if we remove them, the ethylene gas and plant hormones that cause them to ripen prematurely will cease to "rot" the rest of the apples. Shouldn't we look at human trafficking the same way? As for being "entered into" a psych ward, what the hell is that? Is it anything like being "entered into a ledger" or "entered into" evidence? Evidence! Ask Citizen Cain about it! Now for the second loony-toony dumbass comment: If you don't like the school then shut the heck up and move somewhere else! You are the most judgemental person I have EVER come across. It's idiots like you that should NOT be able to have a blog. As I have told everyone in the past, even if I move to Brazil, I will not stop writing about Kansas. Especially Marshall County. What's wrong with judgmental types? Do they get in the way of your crime, and other unflattering secrets? Why would you want to deny me my first amendment rights, and have Google tell me I cannot maintain any blog or website? Do the observations and opinions of others bother you so much that you would wish to see the Constitution null and void? That's extreme. Perhaps you should move to a country that does not have the same freedoms as America! And now here's the third totally dumbass reflection on this mess, along with my response. "First off maybe instead of bashing people you should know the whole story first. The 8th grader asked Miranda to do it. Her mom is a worthless parent and doesnt care about her kids. She was doing it before Miranda decided to join in. So instead of a one sided stupid post. Know the whole story." This comment assumes that a child whose parents are not good at parenting somehow deserves to be victimized by the likes of an abusive Marysville High School student, and that Citizen Cain's abuses of children are okey-dokey, because the child was not important to anyone in Marysville. This is the kind of person your faithful blogger truly hates. No kidding. There is no evidence that has been shared with the public about the eighth grader's attitude, and it really doesn't matter, anyway. Citizen Cain is an adult, and child abuse should have been out of the question. Why didn't Miranda Cain report the child's activities, if the child was already involved in crime? I really don't have to know the whole story in order to respond to this guff with the right questions. In fact, silly-assed commenter, I await your answer to that! Why, in bloody hell, didn't Miranda Cain simply report the juvenile's crime to the proper authorities? Or was the juvenile truly involved in crime before the Marshall County High School senior got involved? My post was not one sided, and neither are my questions. Tomorrow, the results of Citizen Cain's trial will be published in the Marysville Advocate.

Do you remember that female high school student you paid, several years ago, to help you sweep a misdeed under the rug? She clearly saw something that could have cost someone's career, and rightfully so. Well. there's something you overlooked. It is against the law, everywhere in the United States, to "buy" anyone's silence in criminal matters. Not only is that called "witness intimidation" and "obstruction of justice", but it is also known as "bribery".

You bought this person's silence when she was very young, and had no real understanding of her legal rights. You did a rather good job of brainwashing her, and frightening her. But you did not realize that she has a conscience: if any harm comes to someone else, as a result of her refusal to testify, she will never forgive herself. And for that, there is no such thing as enough hush money. By the way, she was also too young to legally be bound to any contract you coerced her to sign. Did you really think that she would never realize that?

Above is a comment that was sent to this site yesterday, concerning this post, describing Miranda Cain, the teenage madam in Marysville, Kansas who was arrested for pimping an eighth grader from her school to a stranger. Yes, you read that correctly. There are problems in many schools across the nation, but this one is a bit unusual.....and we should all probably be thankful for that! But on the other hand, that makes the small community of Marysville famous for presenting serious danger to children.

The person who wrote that comment was not thinking about the child whose life may, very well, have been ruined by this whole mess. The comment only defends Miranda Cain, and does not consider the safety of any of the other children. No one is important to this person except Citizen Cain. Nothing else, from the well being of others, particularly children, to the quality of the community matters to the writer of the comment. This is all too common in Marshall County, Kansas.

Citizen Cain was a Marysville High School student who had been recognized for "distinguished service" (the term takes on a new meaning in Cain's case) by the administration of Marysville High School. She was one of the students who was touted as a "good example" for others to follow. This is disturbing. Contrary to the opinion of the writer of the comment, it is extremely important that everyone in Marshall County be aware of Citizen Cain and her pastimes. The administration of Marysville High School told other children to follow the example of a person who is now in jail, awaiting trial for sex trafficking. Parents were led to believe that their children were safe around Cain. Now, at least one child's life has been ruined, and that's only the child about whom we happen to know. It would come as no surprise to hear about more. Since Marysville High School has administrators and a school board who reward such behavior handsomely and assist students who are involved in crime in gaining scholarships and grants for college, while normal children get neglected; it is abundantly clear that without public conversation about this issue, administration at the schools in Marshall County Kansas will continue to sweep student crime under the proverbial rug and lie to parents forever, if they can get away with it. Yes, it is important to talk about this. It is also important to stress that human trafficking and child abuse are wrong. It appears that school boards in Kansas do not understand this. It also appears that school boards in Kansas do not understand that prostitution is against the laws in most places.

Inasmuch as "innocent until proven guilty" goes, the Marysville Advocate described the evidence in the case against Miranda Cain in rather explicit detail, and it looks as if the case is strong. If Citizen Cain is averse to pleading guilty, she will probably invoke her right to a jury trial. As for "living in glass houses", the comment assumes that a parent must somehow be perfect before protecting his children from human traffickers and other icky influences. This is error. Whether perfect or not, every parent has a responsibility to protect his children from students like Miranda Cain and school administrators who tell children to follow Miranda Cain's example! Sometimes, these decisions are not popular in places where immoral behavior IS popular, but this is one of the reasons why children should always be taught to question authority and never to blindly follow a crowd.

One more thing; when a student who has the carte blanche approval of school administration is apprehended while trafficking another student for sex, it is everyone's business. Hopefully, the writer of this comment will come to understand that every parent in Kansas, or who merely passes through Kansas with children in tow, needs to know about Miranda Cain. It is the business of everyone, now that it is public information. When a county of less than 10,000 people has a problem with human trafficking, awareness becomes the business of everyone. If Citizen Cain's position as part of the problem, rather than part of the solution hurts someone's widdle feelins', too bad! Shouldn't Miranda Cain's victim(s) matter just as much as Miranda Cain matters?

Can Someone Please Define Distinguished Service?

A young woman named Miranda Cain, who graduated from Marysville High School, in Kansas, this year, has been in jail since early June. She had been given a scholarship to Washburn, in Topeka, and was a very good student. She volunteered for efforts in Marysville that were favored by the community, and everyone touted her as a lovely and wonderful child. She was even recognized for something called "distinguished service".

The reason that Citizen Cain is in jail brings up a disturbing question about Marysville High School and "distinguished service". Cain is awaiting trial for prostitution and human trafficking. She is also accused of recruiting an eighth grader for her teenage prostitution enterprise. Schools in Marshall County, Kansas are very unkind and nasty to any child who does not originally hail from Marshall County, and a principal in a Marshall County high school actually told a parent that "protecting the culture" in the schools from "outsiders" was very important. Yet Cain, of Marshall County, Kansas, was accepted with open arms....also, apparently; with open legs! So; what, exactly, is this "distinguished service" that was performed by Citizen Cain?

Two Wichita Women Arrested For Human Trafficking

Yes, Kansas, you read that correctly. Wichita is a big hub for human trafficking. Tinique Anthony and Ashley Bowman, two accused perpetrators, are now both in jail.

Diana Shunn, of the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County, recommends awareness and communication to help fight this type of crime. Assuming that "those things don't happen in my neighborhood", or "those things don't happen in the country" or "in Kansas" only puts more children in danger.

The allegations against Anthony and Bowman have to do with the prostitution and sale of victims who are under age. Wichita and Kansas City may not seem like prime locations for this, but both of those cities feature networks of highways that connect to interstate routes that will quickly and easily take drivers almost anywhere in the United States. This provides not only an easy escape route, but a quick and practical way to move a kidnapped child out of the area before the police have even had the chance to refuse assistance to distraught parents on the grounds that they do not bother with "runaways". Despite the myth generated by law enforcement that runaway children are safe, runaways are prime targets for human trafficking. So are children with disabilities, latchkey children, and, statistically, bullying victims. Children who have been left behind after school activities by inattentive teachers are also prime targets. Yes, a guidance counselor in Frankfort, Kansas actually did this. The school tried to keep the incident quiet, and described the teacher as an "asset" to the school when the parents complained. The only way such a teacher could be an asset is if the school had arranged a "deal", involving a vulnerable child.

Of all the cities in the United States, Wichita, Kansas, is among the top five cities in the United States for the origination......that means recruiting and kidnapping.......of human trafficking. That is not a wonderful reason to be famous, Kansas. The guidance counselor in Frankfort never did explain why he left a fourteen year old girl by herself on the highway, four miles away from Frankfort. Some strangers stopped and gave her a ride back into town. The school board of USD 380 (Frankfort and Centralia) felt that Tom Schroeder's action of forcing a child to accept a ride from a stranger was appropriate, and he was told by an attorney not to respond to any questions about the incident. 

We'll Be Cleaning The Streets In Our Towns

The first step in cases involving those who abuse positions of authority in order to commit crimes against children and engage in human trafficking is to expose those who are compromised.

In Case You Slept Through Church On Sunday

Blah...blah...blah. Ralph Reed, of Faith and Freedom Coalition, thinks that President Obama does not defend christian values enough. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? And which christian values does Ralph want the president to defend? Marriage, a'la the bible, reflecting cultures in which parents barter their children in marriage? Or is he suggesting that the Christian Church control the government? Thomas Jefferson does not agree! Perhaps Ralph is homesick for the the values "upon which America was built"; slavery and human trafficking! Yes, slavery was a big business in this country before the Civil War, and yes, it's human trafficking. Cultures from which the christian churches grew engaged in it freely. It's a Christian value.

President Obama does defend Christian values. Yoshe, or Yeshua, the legendary icon of christianity, reportedly healed the sick free of charge on a regular basis. He also violated open container laws by turning water into wine. He also raised the dead, despite census and social security hassles, and he handed out free food on at least a couple of occasions. For an encore, he vandalized a for-profit market in his synagogue and took coins out of the mouths of fish at tax time. Obama might not agree with Yeshua's answer to the tax man, but he has certainly done more to make medicine available to everyone than the Faith and Freedom Coalition has. Something that is not a Christian value, but a Pagan value, is the ancient Semitic and Mediterranean practice of sending criminals to the lions den for retribution. That's what Good Christian Ralph Reed wants to do to Hillary Clinton. Such a double standard! Must be a Christian value.

So there's the word, in case you slept through church this Sunday.

May 25 Is National Missing Childrens' Day

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan declared May 25 National Missing Childrens' Day, to remind everyone that Etan Patz, who disappeared en route from his home to the school bus in New York, had not been found after disappearing in 1979. There are many unresolved missing persons cases involving children, and before Etan Patz's case, no one wanted to give these cases much publicity or notice. It was all too easy to pretend these things never happen, and that most American neighborhoods are "safe". Even today, it is often a formidable task to convince our media to air stories about missing children or keep their pictures in circulation until they are found.

The husband of a Kansas congresswoman even stated, after a child was abandoned by a teacher, four miles away from school, in Frankfort Kansas during a school activity, that it was a "good thing" that the child was left in a rural area, and not in her native Washington DC. His reasoning was that "those things don't happen in the country". The child's mother informed him that in Washington DC, there are cameras, eyewitnesses who care more about missing children than the pensions of dumbass teachers who "lose" them, and cell phone signals. In Northeast Kansas, a missing child cannot depend on those things. Also, the child's mother asked the husband of her representative if he had heard of more bodies being dumped in plain sight in urban areas post mortem, or "in the country", where evidence is harder to find?

Frankfort Kansas Doesn't Like Operation Found Safe

This list was shared on the Facebook page for Operation Found Safe, which is an organization whose mission is to educate and train communities to prevent such tragedies as missing and exploited children. The list was too big for the sidebar, so it will have to be a post. 

Some information that may clear up some misunderstandings on the parts of certain local trolls on this site is the fact that after my fourteen year old daughter was "lost" by Tom Schroeder, guidance counselor of Frankfort High in Kansas, the effort to sweep the whole incident under the rug and remain in denial actually included refusing the help of this organization! My husband and I contacted multiple organizations that address child safety and missing children, and presented their dossiers and contact information to the school board of USD 380, and the result was total apathy on the part of USD 380. And yes, trolls, I have all the information and exchanged letters, which we took to a school board meeting and presented. Frankfort simply isn't interested in child safety.

The Hague Convention And Kansas Christians

Lisa and Don Jenkins, of Topeka, Kansas, decided to purchase a few more children. This time, they wanted to buy some young people from another country. They prayed about it, as per the practice of their church, and decided that a couple of Ukrainian children would be just the ticket. So they bought their tickets, and off they went, because; according to friends and churchmates, "god" had told them to adopt Ukrainian. While they were in that country, all hell broke loose, and Congressman Pat Roberts, of Kansas, had to place a phone call to the Consulate to inquire about the safe return of the Jenkins family. Northland Christian Church also set up a fund, to bankroll their extended stay in the Ukraine, merely to wait for passports for their newly purchased human beings; and used local news stations, such as WIBW, to promote this shameless "beg for bucks" effort.

At surface levels, international adoption seems innocuous enough. In certain instances, it can be a wonderful arrangement. At other times, such as when Dr. Timothy Monahan and his wife, Jennifer, bought a kidnapped and trafficked child in Guatemala and refused to return her according to the court order from Guatemala, international adoption can be shady, black market in nature, and a very sad form of human trafficking. The only way to protect all parties, natural parents, adoptive parents, and children, in any adoption is to make sure the laws in all countries and states are followed, and to pay attention to all of the details involved. Anyeli, the little girl held hostage by Dr. and Mrs. Monahan, of Missouri, has a mother whose life has been shattered because of kidnapping and human trafficking, and she will never get her child back because the Hague Adoption Convention had not been signed by Guatemala until 2008, and Anyeli was kidnapped and auctioned off in 2006.

Fast forwarding to 2014, the Hague Adoption Convention is up and running, and has been signed by eighty-nine countries. Ukraine is not one of them. As such, it is a country where an improper adoption, possibly resulting from a lack of agreement by both biological parents, a kidnapping and illegal sale of a child, or falsified medical history can fly under the radar, and no affected party is guaranteed recourse of any kind. It is both odd and interesting that Lisa and Don Jenkins have chosen to adopt Ukrainian under those auspices, and that their church, Northland Christian Church, has used local media to snow the public into thinking that these people are "doing something wonderful" and to send money to them! Au contraire! If the Jenkins family were truly concerned about children, why did they deliberately choose a country for their shopping pleasure that had not signed the Hague Convention? And why wasn't Northland Christian Church open about this? It is certainly legal for the church to support their members in adoptions that are legal, provided; of course, that they are in fact, legal; but when the church decided to publicly beg for bucks for this effort, instead of advising their parishioners to simply come home immediately, shouldn't they have included the information that the Ukraine has not signed the Hague Adoption Convention? And WIBW does not mention the Hague  Convention, either. A phone call placed to WIBW produced a conversation with a station employee who was unaware of the Hague Adoption Convention, the Hague Convention, or the general legal issues surrounding adoption and focusing on the best interest of the child.

Luckily, the Jenkins family converged upon Kansas International Airport on Saturday, no worse for the wear. From the outside looking in, though, their choice to adopt in a country that has not yet taken measures to protect the best interests of any child in an adoption proceeding seems a bit suspect. Hopefully, everything is fine, and the adoptions involved are all above board, but Northland Christian Church should not ask the public for donations without proper explanation of all the facts, and WIBW should have done more research about international adoption and human trafficking.

A Troll In Defense Of Human Trafficking

Tonight, we accepted the referral of Luis Carlos, born New Year's Day at 9:40 pm to a twenty year old birth mother. He was 7.8 lbs and 19.7 inches long.

The above is a comment from a profile connected to a comment that came to this site about this post. The post is about a kidnapped and trafficked Guatemalan child named Anyeli Rodriguez, whose return to her natural parents was ordered by Guatemala, despite the fact that a well-off couple in Missouri paid good money for her, and, no doubt, have every intention of getting their money's worth. While the comment sounds very warm, fuzzy, and cute, the reality of kidnapped, bought, and sold children is horrible. The comment came from someone who obviously defends Tim and Jennifer Monahan's unlawful actions of holding Anyeli against her will, and the complicity of the United States government, despite a court order from Guatemala for her return.

Adopted children often have little, if any family history for health records.  Testing for medical problems that are hereditary is often prohibited by insurance companies, unless the patient can prove a family history of the medical problem in question. Colon cancer can be diagnosed and treated, even in the absence of actual cancer, (yes...it almost happened to yours truly!) while celiac disease is simply not considered because of unnaturally inflated costs associated with testing for it. What's an adopted child to do? There are also a couple of types of anemia that are hereditary, and very serious. Unfortunately, plump Anglo-Saxon types, such as the Monahans, who continue to hold Anyeli hostage, cannot possibly have experience with them. Thalassemias are a group of anemia types that typically run in Mediterranean and Ashkenazi Jewish families. Once in awhile, the problem will be encountered in African bloodlines, as well. Sickle cell anemia runs in African bloodlines, and is not well understood and not expertly treated in the United States. A child trafficked from another country, from a misrepresented or unknown ancestry can present with symptoms that may never be properly diagnosed if the adoption of the child is black market. This is cruel, and as a physician, Tim Monahan should know better.

What about the parents, older siblings, and other family members of kidnapped children, such as Anyeli? Do they desrve no consideration? Americans often take the stance that black market adoptions involving foreign children are okay, despite their shady and unlawful nature, because upper middle class Americans typically have more money than poor, third world parents. Is this a reason to assume a parent does not love his or her child, and arbitrarily kidnap the child? Do money and middle class American, materialistic goals truly replace love, and a child's heritage?

To discuss the human trafficking aspect of this case, and to get to the real reason this bible thumping black market adoption supporter is truly scary, here is the comment, followed by two points to consider:"While you are certainly entitled to your opinion on the subject, maybe you should not reveal this child's personal information in such a public forum. This further compromises her situation, making her even more vulnerable-- and by extension, you and your community face further threat, which is one of your main concerns."

Why shouldn't we reveal Anyeli Rodgriguez's personal information? The Guatemalan government reveals her personal information. The only purpose that will be served by not revealing this child's personal information, and the personal information of every other known kidnapping victim is the safety of the perpetrators. Why would a bible thumper call for protection of human traffickers? And why do bible thumpers see fit to make the rest of the world more hostile to Americans by trafficking human beings? Remember Laura Silsby,  after the earthquake in Haiti in 2010? Americans seem to provide a market for trafficked children. Laura Silsby spent some time in a Haitian jail for her crimes, and when witnesses spoke out about what she was doing, the only people who were compromised by revealing the personal information of the children involved were Laura and her band of merry Christian human traffickers! As for Anyeli's situation, the United States seems vested, somehow, in allowing her captors to keep her from her family and her country. It's possible that she will have to read about her own case, or see a picture of herself on missing child posters. Of course, the people who bought her, the Monahans, could always opt to keep her from ever getting online or re-learning Spanish, her native language, until she is eighteen. How will she feel, as a young woman, if she meets her REAL mother, the one who searched and searched for years, never gave up, and cried her eyes out every night because her child had been stolen? Is that the kind of thing that instills loyalty in an adopted child bought from human traffickers? Think about it, christian adoptive parent. And don't buy your children from Kmart, or from anyone who circumvents the law.

 

Why Is Kansas Trafficking The Children Of Veterans?

Kansas has a new source of marketable children for the adoption mill: the children of veterans and active duty military! No kidding. In it's ongoing search for healthy white children to target and grab, marketing them for the profit of the elite and up-and-coming Kansas version of "yuppies", Kansas is now grabbing the children of those who are either deployed military, or injured and retired military. Children born to drug addicts and children who have been abused are not as marketable in the adoption auction as healthy children, so Kansas is now grabbing healthy children who have not been abused for this money-maker. A recent investigation involving an adoption scam in southern Kansas features a judge who made this comment concerning a faux investigation he initiated when too many people realized that Child Protective Services in that part of Kansas had catered shamelessly to a Christian organization, Faith Builders, in relation to foster care placements and adoptions. Recommendations had been made by a supervisor, and these recommendations had led to adoptions, which had taken place without the appropriate due process that keeps adoption from becoming human trafficking: “I’ve asked DCF to review decisions made by Ms. Bidwell to see if that is still the direction the DCF wants to take, to try to avoid unnecessary litigation,” said Henderson, the presiding judge of the county’s four-member juvenile court. “It’s always important to get our children to adoption as quickly as possible.”........Wichita Eagle

It's always important to get children to adoption as quickly as possible? That's interesting, because children with behavioral problems are not adopted as quickly as possible. Neither are children with developmental delays or disabilities. The children who are auctioned off as quickly as possible are healthy children, and healthy children generally come from healthy parents and healthy homes. Actual complaints about the treatment of children who are wards of the court are usually ignored. Noble Rick Pendland, a foster parent who molested children in his care, is a prime example. His victims were ignored when they complained, the natural parents of his victims were also ignored. Now, a few of Pendland's victims have reached the age of majority, and have filed their own cases against him. Judge Henderson's statement about "getting children to adoption as quickly as possible" probably refers much more to money that is waiting to be made, rather than protecting children.

It's time for Daniel Gilyeat to get his children back, and it's time for Kansas to find some way, other than human trafficking, to fund it's up and coming christian yuppie-morons. A recent fatal shooting near Wichita is yet another example of an adoption of two young boys that was not well orchestrated and ended up horribly out of control. They started as foster children who were pushed into adoption rather than reintegrated with their natural mother. The older of the two boys found his real mother shortly after his eighteenth birthday. One thing lead to another, a fatal shooting occurred, and now the young man is charged with the first degree murder of his adoptive female parent, Melissa Bluml. The adoptive male parent is still in the hospital, at this writing, because of injuries sustained in the above mentioned incident. At the very least, counseling should have been available to all parties in this case, at the time of the adoption. No one should have been stripped of constitutional rights, and no one should have been deprived of natural family.

If a child is truly alone in this world, adoption should be a consideration, but why isn't Kansas even trying to keep families together? Is human trafficking just too lucrative? While Kansas may be able to do enough damage control on the situation involving Faith Builders to cover it up, and may be able to buy the silence of the witnesses against Noble Rick Pendland; expressions of rage, such as the violent murder of Melissa Bluml are harder for the rest of the world to ignore. Is Kansas smart enough to learn from it?
 

Christians And Human Trafficking In Kansas

Recently, an official for Child Protective Services in the Wichita, Kansas area, by the name of Diane Bidwell, resigned. She resigned the day an investigation was completed concerning her relationship with a Christian organization called Faithbuilders, which buys and sells white children who have had the misfortune of being snatched from their natural parents. It astounds this blogger to no end that a religious organization is even eligible to serve in this function: they recruit, secure foster placements. There does not appear to be any concern for the child whose parents and extended family are not Christian. In fact, the extended family does not appear to matter to Faithbuilders. The biggest reason for the DCF review is summed up here, by KAKE; "The internal DCF review started after complaints alleging that FaithBuilders -- which provides respite and foster care as well as mentoring for parents facing crises -- had encouraged some parents to place their children into temporary foster care and then sign away their parental rights so the children could be adopted."

Well, well, well. This sounds a little like a case that took place in Haiti, involving an Idaho Christian named Laura Silsby. She thought, since an earthquake in February of 2010 displaced a large number of people, that no one would miss a few children, if she snatched them and brought them, illegally, to the United States. Despite the fact that this is human trafficking, other lovely Christians accompanied her, some of whom were, ironically, from Kansas.

Kansas is filled with German Christian families who, historically had as many children as they could to use as farm hands. If a child disappeared, it was no big deal to the German Christian parents.  If a parent's child gets snatched  by Child Protective Services, they seriously do not understand why it is so important  to the parent to get the child back. Kansas honestly feels that it is okay to grab a child every now and then, terminate a parent's rights, refuse to contact any noncustodial parents or other relatives, and just allow another family to adopt the child, after paying certain fees, of course. This helps Kansas during a sluggish economy. Laura McNish, prosecutor of Marshall County, Kansas, even takes children away from parents who will not agree to testify in ways that serve the interests of the prosecution in unrelated cases. She thinks nothing of it; Marshall County can make money that way. That's how she buys untruthful testimony from witnesses; she threatens children. A recent victim of this game actually lost her virginity while in the care of a teacher from Frankfort High School.

So the results of this investigation will now be kept confidential. We, the people, are not supposed to care too much about what the good Christians of Faithbuilders are doing with OTHER PEOPLES' children. And Diana Bidwell decided to resign, at the very minute the review was completed. Coincidence? "DCF spokeswoman Theresa Freed said in an e-mail that DCF Secretary Phyllis Gilmore decided the results of the review would be "kept confidential because of concerns regarding children in her care and personnel matters." Exactly when did Phyllis Gilmore start to care about the rights of the children in her care? There is no question that she cares about "personel matters", as she covers for people in her employ rather frequently when they err, but concerns regarding the children in her care? Why not just remove all the names of children from the report, and hand it over to the people?
Gilmore has also decided she needs more information.

Lucky for Gilmore, this blog has her covered. In 1996, Washington, D.C. had some problems with it's Child Protective Services agency. Not only were the findings of all the investigations turned over to the lawyers of the children in custody, the whole mess was covered by the Washington Post, and several other newpapers. Here's some more information for Gilmore, should this not be enough: LaShawn A. v. Williams mandated that Child Protective Services in Washington D.C. be placed in receivership from 1996 until around 2001 or 2002. As a by-product of the court ruling, the information, minus the names of the children involved, became public information. This should help Gilmore with her need for "more information."

Of course, federal authorities, along with the Freedom Of Information Act, can also prove very helpful to Phyllis Gilmore, in her desperate need for information. It works like this: the congressmen and senators who desire the results of the above named investigation, in order to protect the children of Kansas, file suit for said information via the Freedom Of Information Act, citing the most recent update of the law. The court then orders the investigation made public, minus the names of any minors involved, and....viola! National and local newspapers print a big story about the whole thing, and Phyllis Gilmore has all the information she needs!
 

Update On Little Girl Found with Gypsies

 

Little Maria's biological parents were found! She is, to the surprise of many, actually Roma, but from Bulgaria, not Greece. In a chain of events that moved quickly enough to raise questions about lingering unsolved missing persons cases everywhere.....ahem......Maria's parents were located, along with a number of lookalike siblings, and her DNA matches.

 

A lot of people from around the world are upset at the amount of attention this case attracted, stating that if the girl was not white, specifically blond and fair, no one would have cared. While those observations are probably, to an extent, true; there is another side to the coin. Suppose little Maria had not stood out in her crowd, and had gone unnoticed? There is a whole range of issues here that contribute to the unfavorable conditions that lead to generation after generation of poverty and crime. The family in Greece with whom Maria was found committed identity theft, the European version of welfare fraud, and informal, or ILLEGAL adoptions. Not that this illegal adoption was terrible, in an of itself; it probably was a lot better than being a Roma child in an orphanage, where one's only personal value arises upon being found compatible when an order for an organ transplant comes in. No kidding. It would come as no surprise to this blogger if missing foster children from Kansas turned up in Eastern European orphanages, for this very purpose. Would Kansas sell foster children by the pound, or by the dozen? Still, illegal adoption is a worldwide human trafficking problem, and that, combined with false ID's and birth certificates for multiple children who belong elsewhere is ultimately a disservice to the illegally "adopted" child, to the community, and to the world. It needs to stop, and Maria's case, which would never have become a "case" had she been olive enough to blend in with the rest of her community, has given this problem long overdue attention from the world. 

 

The best action the European Union could probably take, after thousands of years of discriminating mercilessly against the Roma population, would be to insist upon education for all Roma children, and be just and equal about it. Getting everyone involved to come into compliance would not be easy, and it would seem to be another attack on Roma culture; can anyone remember when Nelson Mandela insisted that education become a priority, even for tribes, such as the Zulu, who felt that it was a cultural conflict? At this point, even those who opposed Mandela realize that this was insight on his part, not an attempt to dissolve cultures or destroy the identities of individual tribes. The Roma could best improve their destiny through education.

 

Meanwhile, Maria's real parents in Bulgaria and her not-so-real parents in Greece are under investigation. Her path is not yet determined, but she has a biological sister who appears to want very much to see her again. The task of finding Maria's biological parents first seemed like finding a needle in a haystack, but less than a week after Maria surfaced in the Greek Gypsy camp, her parents were found. Twenty years ago, this would not have happened so quickly, if at all. This leaves all of us to wonder why so many missing persons cases are still open in the United States, and if the United States actually tries to solve the missing persons cases that do not get solved by accident.

 

 

 

This Child Is Obviously Not A Gyspy

 

If you have blue eyes and blond hair, yet your so called parents are both Roma, otherwise known as Gypsies, you might not really belong to them. If you have so called brothers and sisters who not only do not resemble you in any way, but also do not resemble each other, they might not actually be related to each other, or related to you. Or; if your birthday falls within a month or two of your brother or sister's birthday, and your "mom" claims to have had five of you during the same calendar month of the same year, your genetic connection to your "family" might be rather shaky. This, apparently, is the sad case for this little girl. She was found in Greece, living in a Roma family, and while the parents claimed that she is theirs, they also claimed numerous other children as theirs, giving multiple and changing stories about how the little girl came to live with them. She has been removed from the Roma community and has been found, by DNA testing, to have no connection to them. Greek authorities have nicknamed her "Maria".

The imposters claiming to be this little girl's parents have been arrested and charged with kidnapping, but in the mean time, no one has gotten the facts and the actual story of little Maria's true identity. Greece has put together posters in several languages and would like everyone to share her picture, in hopes of finding her real family.

 

Government Sponsored Crime

This is Cynthia McKinney, D-Georgia, asking Donald Rumsfeld some very pointed questions, back in 2006. Rumsfeld, and et els, evaded her questions. McKinney, however, represents her constituents, not any business or government agency; so she continued to seek answers to the hard questions she posed, mainly about human trafficking and child trafficking by government agencies, and allowed all of us to see how difficult it can be to get an answer from Big Brother on the criminal activities he "sponsors". Now here's a question for you: where do you think the government would obtain all of those trafficked children? Keep in mind, stranger abductions of children are actually rare, so, just how would government agencies acquire enough children and adults to fuel the amount of human trafficking that has been recently publicized? This site will address the subject again with more ideas and statistics in the near future.

 

 

Pigs In Kansas

Does anyone remember this post, concerning the arrest of a woman in Mission, Kansas, for accidently being a "last minute customer" at the post office? The name of the third officer who showed up and made a bunch of threats toward this innocent woman's children, then refused to give his name, is Tige Dean.

It seems obvious enough that the real reason this woman was arrested has to do with the method by which most Kansas municipalities acquire revenue. There is not enough of a tax base to even maintain decent schools in most of Kansas, so the idea is to arrest as many people as possible for petty crimes, regardless of evidence, probable cause, guilt or innocence, book them, and intimidate them into pleading guilty to the least serious of the number of offenses with which they have been charged. Collect fines, and bill people for being on probation. The foster care system is another moneymaker for Kansas, as long as the children grabbed and sold do not belong to anyone who "matters".  Nationwide, prisons have become an industry. The cops in Mission Kansas simply saw an easy victim with two beautiful, saleable children.

Marshall County, Kansas has similar practices. Not too long ago, a police officer assaulted yours truly for telephoning the grandmother of some small children whose mother was arrested. The officer wanted to traffic the children to social services, rather than call a family member. Later on, an investigator made statements to the effect that those children were not left alone by law enforcement, but that statement contradicts what the mother stated, at the time. It would be interesting to hear what the children involved have to say about the whole affair.
