In Case You Slept Through Church On Sunday

Blah...blah...blah. Ralph Reed, of Faith and Freedom Coalition, thinks that President Obama does not defend christian values enough. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? And which christian values does Ralph want the president to defend? Marriage, a'la the bible, reflecting cultures in which parents barter their children in marriage? Or is he suggesting that the Christian Church control the government? Thomas Jefferson does not agree! Perhaps Ralph is homesick for the the values "upon which America was built"; slavery and human trafficking! Yes, slavery was a big business in this country before the Civil War, and yes, it's human trafficking. Cultures from which the christian churches grew engaged in it freely. It's a Christian value.

President Obama does defend Christian values. Yoshe, or Yeshua, the legendary icon of christianity, reportedly healed the sick free of charge on a regular basis. He also violated open container laws by turning water into wine. He also raised the dead, despite census and social security hassles, and he handed out free food on at least a couple of occasions. For an encore, he vandalized a for-profit market in his synagogue and took coins out of the mouths of fish at tax time. Obama might not agree with Yeshua's answer to the tax man, but he has certainly done more to make medicine available to everyone than the Faith and Freedom Coalition has. Something that is not a Christian value, but a Pagan value, is the ancient Semitic and Mediterranean practice of sending criminals to the lions den for retribution. That's what Good Christian Ralph Reed wants to do to Hillary Clinton. Such a double standard! Must be a Christian value.

So there's the word, in case you slept through church this Sunday.

Brett Seacat Gets To Move Out Of State

Brett Seacat, the Kansas policeman convicted of deliberately burning down his house in Kingman, Kansas, with his wife inside of it, gets to serve his life sentence at another prison, at an undisclosed location. Kansas Department of Corrections has a protocol allowing cops to serve time in prisons other than where they would be incarcerated normally, so they won't have to serve alongside prisoners they may have arrested. Isn't that special? If Seacat had food allergies or autoimmune disease, there would be no special accommodations. If Seacat needed a restricted diet for medical reasons, it would probably be ignored. If Seacat had a mental illness, chances are rather strong that no one in the Department of Corrections would worry about it. But the fact that Seacat is a cop means he merits special treatment and taxpayers have to pay to transport him from El Dorado to a prison somewhere else. Why can't taxpayers get the choice of what gets funded and prioritized within the prison system? They might worry about healthcare before worrying about the safety of dirty cops.

Listen To Your Elders, Brownback

Ya learn something new every day! The Kansas Silver Haired Legislature, an advisory group to governor, led by senior citizens, has recommended legalization of medical marijuana in Kansas to Governor Sam Brownback! Senate Bill 9, written by Senator David Haley, of Kansas City, Kansas, calling for legalization of marijuana with a doctor's recommendation, has gotten no traction as of yet, but Kansas seniors would like something less addictive than oxycodone and easier on the kidneys than ibuprofen and acetaminophen for pain. Who knew?

That said, I will reiterate what I have stated on this site several times in the past: I do not use any recreational drugs, and condone no unlawful activity, but would like to see violations of prohibition laws relegated to a lesser place on court dockets, and charges for the same as misdemeanors rather than felonies. Prohibition of alcohol in this country, from 1920 to 1933, was unproductive, barely enforceable, and created opportunities for organized crime. Can anyone say "Mafia"?

The Kansas Silver Haired Legislature also consulted with Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) prior to making their recommendation. This gives Governor Browncrack a perspective about the legal aspects of medical marijuana as well as the health aspects. Hopefully, Brownback will listen to his elders.

Give The Man Back His Weed!

This is almost too funny! Some city cops in Tacoma, Washington, may be found in contempt of court next week for refusing to return some marijuana that they confiscated from a man named Joseph Robertson during a traffic stop! Despite proof of medical marijuana authorization, the dumbass cops took Robertson's marijuana and charged him with a misdemeanor drug charge. Even after the charge was dismissed, the police still did not want to give it back to him. Would they do this with insulin or foot fungus cream? Why should they do it with marijuana purchased by prescription?

The judge told the city attorney to "appeal or comply". He also told them that if they didn't, they should hire an attorney. It must be a very sad day for badass cops in Washington. Not only is marijuana legal there, now; but a judge has actually upheld the law and supported the population he is sworn to serve.

Tis The Season To Ask Terri

Looks like Terri Horman was a festive person, before she began hiding at her parents' house in Roseburg, Oregon. Back in her days as "Terri Ecker", she sent out a holiday poem she made up, mass printed on the stationary below. Nowdays, all Ms. Horman really has to look forward to is a succession of court dates, though. This holiday season, Terri Horman is not only being taken to court by her estranged spouse, but also by her estranged spouse's former spouse! This must make for an extreemly cool Yule.......prolly not! Somehow, it seems that all Terri Horman would have to do, in order to ease some of the legal pressure, is testify about the last time anyone saw Kyron Horman, who has been missing since June 4, 2010, from his school in Portland, Oregon; and begin telling the truth and passing polygraphs.

The latest in the lawsuit filed by Terri Horman's estranged spouse's former spouse is that medical records will be permitted in arguments. Some have interpreted this to mean that Terri's mental health is somehow in question, but that may not be the case. The inclusion of medical records may simply be a way to extend the guest list to Terri's only holiday festivity and gather more testimony from unexpected sources. It also may help paint a better picture of what was actually going on during the week, or so, prior to the day Kyron disappeared.

Paul Ryan Is Too Liberal

Paul Ryan says he represents Judeo Christian values, and an America that once embraced such values, but his words do not represent such values. After becoming the running mate of Mitt Romney, who openly mocks those less privileged than himself with his famous "forty-seven percent" crack, it is almost impossible to discern anything in Paul Ryan's rhetoric in any of his speeches that even remotely harks back to the words and practices of the fictitous Jesus. The other day, he howled and cried about his President threatening Christian values, but the only real justification of such a notion concerned the president's insistance that medical care be available to everyone. Health and healing! Wouldn't Jesus be pissed?

Would this "America" of which young Paul Ryan so desperately tries to remind us be the same America that denied President Obama the privilege of drinking from the same water fountain from which his own mother drank, because of his complexion? Paul Ryan's age and experience do not reach that far back, but plenty of Americans actually DO remember that America. Perhaps Paul Ryan wishes to reach back even further, to a day when women did not vote, and had very few rights in banking or business worlds. Would that make this little punk happy? Folks; Paul Ryan has no idea what he is talking about.

If Paul Ryan wants to consider threats to American Christianity, perhaps he should take a closer look at Mitt Romney's religion. While it masquerades as another type of Christianity, the Mormon religion promotes racism and contradicts the Bible and traditional Christian beliefs in many ways. In fact, the Jewish traditions from which we supposedly get Christianity discourage ascribing any type of human form to the Creator (such as insisting that "he" must be white) or giving the Creator a name! There isn't a Mormon anywhere who can actually tell us what "God" looks like, and they should really give that up. Along with the rest of the Book of Moron. That, along with the mockery of the poor, is a much bigger threat to Christianity than all of America's politicians put together. Paul Ryan is much too liberal with the delicate balence of separation of church and state.

Private Message

Hey Lightlilly, lowlevel government drudge in Marysville Kansas; just a little knowledge of the etymologies of your first and last name should clue you in to who you are, but if not, don't worry, someone will write letter or petition requesting that you clean up your act. Consider this your warning. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, ever ask anyone to divulge personal information that is designed to remain unavailable to folks of your ilk ever again. If you cannot do your job without overstepping medical and and other confidentiality bounderies or violating the law, then perhaps it is time for the community to find someone who can. Consider this your warning, Lightlilly. No one is messing around, here.

One more point I should make, Lightlilly: when you consistantly badger a citizen for personal information about another citizen, and the citizen you badger does not wish to divulge any personal knowledge of another or does not have any personal knowledge of another to divulge, yet you continue to pester and threaten legal action, (!!) it becomes harassment. Harassment is against the law. Threats of legal action to obtain information from someone who is not under oath are also against the law. Unless you want to hear this again, from someone who can force the issue, I suggest you cease and desist.
