Kansas Focuses On Stalking?

Yes, you read the question correctly. WIBW has reported that Kansas is (ahem, cough, cough, cough, smirk, giggle, cough) focused, because January is National Stalking Awareness Month, on reducing the number of stalking incidents in Kansas! Where's the eye-rolley when I need it?

In March of last year, a woman whose son's romantic overtures had been consistently rebuffed by a young girl at Frankfort High School, in Marshall County, Kansas, decided to stalk the girl's mother by following her through Frankfort one evening and getting out of her car when the girl's mother parked at her home. Instead of using the principal's office as a place to promote her son's wild oats and desirability as a prom date, the woman wanted to use the front lawn of the girl's family. She also wanted to blame the girl for her son's obesity and the resulting medical and self image problems. The magistrate judge in Marshall County denied the family a no-stalking order.

Later on, during the summer, the son of the Marshall County prosecutor took a drive through the cornfield of a Marshall County farmer. He used a vehicle belonging to his parents, the same vehicle he has used on mailboxes in Marysville, Kansas, in the past. (information courtesy of neighbors and victims) No protective orders, as of yet, have been issued against this particular hoodlum to ensure his arrest should he revisit the homes and properties where his tire tracks have been found in the past; yet, a random citizen was almost blamed for damage to county attorney's vehicle, damage which most likely incurred while her own child was using the vehicle to vandalize the property of others! The Marshall County magistrate judge thought that this was proper, until the random citizen consulted an attorney. When the Marshall County prosecutor realized that she was going to have to begin to pay out of her own pocket for her frivolous legal actions and accusations against innocent citizens, she ceased her false accusations of the random citizen, yet did nothing to warn others to protect themselves and their cornfields, gardens, and mailboxes from the real threat and the vehicle used for damaging property. So much for stalking awareness in Marshall County. Any anti-stalking laws in Kansas are only used in Marshall County as a form of harassment, not as a form of protection. Those who truly need protection are denied.

Fast forward through a couple of seasons of threats and harassment to stalking victims in Marshall County, followed by denials of protection orders from the magistrate judge. The day after Christmas, the lawn of the family of the above mentioned Frankfort stalking victim had a drive-through visit by a vehicle belonging to the family of the stalker that they had in March. The sidewalk was also used as a street for vehicular traffic. Law enforcement declined to make an immediate report about the incident. Very early the next morning, the same vehicle plowed, once again, through the victim's lawn, grazed her front porch, and proceeded through the neighbor's front lawn. Had Angela Hecke, magistrate judge of Marshall County, Kansas, seen orders against trespassing and stalking as anything besides political tools to be used against Jews, and other non-christians, perhaps the family experiencing the threat of getting run over by vehicles could have had an order in place, ensuring attention from law enforcement at the onset. It's hard to imagine that Kansas is focused on stalking when a magistrate judge encourages repeat instances of drunk children driving on sidewalks, into lawns, and up to the front porches of victims.

Update On Cinderella's Petition

A few days ago, I wrote this post, about a young lady named Rhiannon Ambrose, who attempted to take advantage of open enrollment in Kansas by enrolling in Marysville High School, where forensics, speech, and drama are part of the curriculum; instead of enrolling in Frankfort, the public school closest to her home, where none of those classes are offered and one of the teachers is a confessed, yet unprosecuted, child abuser. Today, in a telephone conversation, superintendent Randy Freeman explained to Rhiannon that his initial reason for accepting all students requesting transfer from other districts, except her, would remain undisclosed, but that a new reason is the petition she wrote. Randy Freeman does not welcome students who write and send petitions, either online, or take hard copies of the same door to door. He also stated that he does not welcome students whose parents write and have published various written works. This writer finds that position quite interesting for an educator at an American school! Has Randy Freeman not heard of the Constitution? And the First Amendment? Petitions and public announcements are the cornerstone of Freedom of Expression! In essence, Randy Freeman has told Rhiannon that because she has engaged her First Amendment rights and petitioned, via written word, and because she has first degree relatives who write and have published their work, she is unwelcome in his school, while other transfer students whose parents do not know how to write, are welcome! Are there any more questions about exactly how American public schools have gotten "dumbed down"?

Here is the Updated Petition, don't be shy about signing it! Now that we have an administrator who openly admits that he only wants average or below average children in his school, gifted and talented need not apply, this has become bigger than one child in Kansas. All of our children have a right to learn about communication and about their rights as citizens. Today, an arrogant man, to whom quite a few childrens' educations have been entrusted, proudly announced that he does not encourage learning about the Constitution, or about writing or communication skills.

Petition Requesting Fairness Of Marysville Kansas School Board

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote this post concerning the residence of a talented high school junior in a Kansas school district that would rather cut and cut the curriculums and extra curricular activities for their students, rather than consolidate with other Kansas school districts, enabling the availability of more educational options for students. Sports, of course, was not touched; only the classes which appeal to the more artistic or intellectually inclined students, of which USD 380, Vermillion Kansas, has too few.

Rhiannon Ambrose would love to attend a school that offers forensics, speech, and drama. She also would like to sing and take music. Unfortunately, Frankfort, her home school, does not offer those classes, and when she tried to take extracurricular vocal, the music teacher denied her, reserving the slots in his choir for children who have lived in Frankfort since birth or early childhood, or whose parents have political connections in the area. He admits this, too, and says he has been doing this for over twenty-seven years, and that he is not going to change now! Okay, fine; but J.D. Gallion even took it a step further, and told Rhiannon her voice was terrible, and not to ever sing again! What a jerk! He also discriminates against anyone who does not attend a Christian church, too, and proudly discriminates in the name of Frankfort United Methodist Church, but that's another post!

Rhiannon Ambrose decided to simply ask USD 364, a neighboring school district, if she could take advantage of "open enrollment" in Kansas and attend Marysville High. The answer was "no"! Apparently, "open enrollment" is only "open" to "certain" children, even though the law and the policy, itself, state that it is open to any student in good standing!  It would be better for USD 380 to keep Rhiannon and suck up those enrollment dollars for her presence, rather than let go of her, and allow her to attend a different school, where she could happily take the classes in which she excels. I am sharing a link to the petition that was written about this, and I am asking everyone to sign it and share it. This is unfair, and it has made a political casualty out of a high school student.

Rhiannon's petition can be signed if you click on the link. Thankyou, everyone!

A Policeman's Beat For Jesus

How would you feel if a cop came to your house and beat you up, as a personal favor to a county attorney, because you refused, as a witness, to distort the truth for her in a case she wanted to try? And if you heard that this cop likes to taze people with pacemakers, just for fun, would you ever want to hear about his religion again?

Hello Again, Fishy Fishy

Hello again, 68.234.126.187, of Marysville, Kansas! While that in no way represents the only IP address related to you or your internet trolling habits, I noticed you again today. I just wondered, during all the time tax payors pay you to play on the computer and peruse social media sites online while you should be working but ARE NOT; do you take time out for a lunch break? If not, here is a suggestion:

Of course, driving to the nearest McDonald's would take you away from trolling social media websites on company time for a substantial amount of time during the afternoon.

Marysville Kansas Cop Was Wrong To Make Threats

Yesterday, I finally had an opportunity to speak with an attorney about this encounter, which I had on Monday, with a policeman in Marysville, Kansas. The cop had just arrested a young woman, and while she was waiting for him to do his coply duties of figuring out which crime she had probably not committed but with which he could yet charge her, she told me her children had been left alone as a result of her arrest. She asked me if I would call her mother on my cell phone and ask her to babysit, and the cop manhandled me and threatened to arrest me when I obliged. As it turns out, there is no crime in the annotated code of Kansas to be found suggesting that it is unlawful for a bystander to telephone a child's grandma to babysit while a parent gets arrested or otherwise hounded by law enforcement. I committed no crime, and any arrest would have been a false arrest. Any subsequent detention would have been false imprisonment. The police officer was making empty, stupid threats.

It was also suggested to me that such ploys are standard procedure at the Marysville Police Station whenever a woman with children is arrested. The goal is to force the mother to choose, when making her phone call, between calling a lawyer, or calling someone to care for her children. The mother will almost always choose someone to care for her children, and with no legal representation, the police are free to harass and bully her for a longer amount of time. Who ultimately pays for this? The children, of course.

Go ahead and continue your tactics, big badass cop. Have you heard of what's been dubbed the "War on Women"? Kansas officials are not looking terribly positive, of late, in any area involving women. How do you think the American Civil Liberties Union and the Southern Poverty Law Center will react to documented instances of women being forced to give up legal representation while in your custody?

Private Message

Hey Lightlilly, lowlevel government drudge in Marysville Kansas; just a little knowledge of the etymologies of your first and last name should clue you in to who you are, but if not, don't worry, someone will write letter or petition requesting that you clean up your act. Consider this your warning. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, ever ask anyone to divulge personal information that is designed to remain unavailable to folks of your ilk ever again. If you cannot do your job without overstepping medical and and other confidentiality bounderies or violating the law, then perhaps it is time for the community to find someone who can. Consider this your warning, Lightlilly. No one is messing around, here.

One more point I should make, Lightlilly: when you consistantly badger a citizen for personal information about another citizen, and the citizen you badger does not wish to divulge any personal knowledge of another or does not have any personal knowledge of another to divulge, yet you continue to pester and threaten legal action, (!!) it becomes harassment. Harassment is against the law. Threats of legal action to obtain information from someone who is not under oath are also against the law. Unless you want to hear this again, from someone who can force the issue, I suggest you cease and desist.

Kansas Missing Person, Francis Kramer

This is the picture of Mr. Kramer that is circulating right now. Hopefully, someone will recognize him.

Correction: Mr. Kramer is not 89 years old. He is 78 years old.

Pediatric Nonmedicine In Marysville, Kansas

Today, I have a child home from school, sick. He's been sick since Friday, and needs to be seen by a doctor. There has also been an outbreak of MRSA (antibiotic resistant staph) at a couple of area schools, and I am concerned. Apparently, the receptionist, telephone answerer.........or whatever she is..........didn't hear me when I said I needed to either bring my son in today or go to the hospital, and told me she would have a nurse call me back. A nurse did not call me back, I called them back. They wanted my phone number again. I asked them why they needed it again, since it is on all of my records, and I was, at that moment, on the phone with them. I asked them once again, "Do you have an appointment open, or should I take my child to the emergency room?" The telephone answerer informed me that it is now a "nursing duty" to schedule appointments! Since this is more of a secretarial duty in my world, I can only conclude that this is a lie. But if it is a nursing duty, I think from now on, I will take my children to a clinic where nursing duties are more medical and less secretarial or clerical.

Another interesting item from this encounter was that both the "secretarial nurse" and the "telephone answerer" told me that my landline telephone was not working when they "tried" to call me back. Yet my husband, who works about half a mile away from them, telephoned my landline a couple of minutes after I got off the phone with the clinic. I had a conversation with him on my "nonfunctioning" landline. They had the correct telephone number, too. So.......I think it is safe to, once again, conclude that this is a lie.

All you had to do, Community Physicians Clinic in Marysville, Kansas, was simply tell me that you could not schedule my son today. Then I would have taken him to a different clinic associated with you, (I really don't care how far I have to drive, either; I love my son) or taken him to the emergency room. You don't have to lie to me or act unprofessional.
