Life Sentence For Dallas Bond

Dallas Bond, the Brown County, Kansas dispatcher who once trolled Northeast Kansas for underage sex crimes victims, has received a life sentence for the same.

Prior to getting caught by police, Mr. Bond had stolen handcuffs, leg irons, a radio, and some official looking shirts with logos from the Brown County, Kansas sheriff department, where he worked as a dispatcher. These items were recovered, but not until they were used while he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a child. There is a pervasive belief on the part of Kansans that this type of crime does not occur in Kansas because so much of Kansas is rural. This is error, and it is overlooking the obvious: there are few surveillance cameras, few eyewitnesses, and unreliable cell phone service in much of the "country"...or commercial farmland in Kansas. In combination with school administrations who violate the federal laws concerning child safety, "the country" in Kansas is actually very dangerous for children.

This is where another child, in Frankfort, Kansas, was abandoned by a guidance counselor. Was it done in the expectation of an encounter with someone pretending to be a police officer? Everyone involved has been advised not to talk by a local attorney.

and beauty, and in some ancient Northern European villages, all fires were extinguished, in order to be ceremoniously re-lit from the ritual balefire. It was a festival that involved everyone.

This is the celebration of Persephone's return from the realm of the underworld. On Halloween, she has become the consort of Hades, Lord of the underworld, and in this capacity, Persephone is the Queen of the Dead. During the six months between Halloween and Beltane, the earth is at rest, and growing season is dormant. It begins again, full swing, at her return.

In the wake of the Amber Alerts that have been issued in areas that involve Northeast Kansas lately, it seems apropos to take a harder look at how the kidnapping of ten year old Hailey Owens actually happened, since there is an eyewitness who willingly gave law enforcement all the information he had after seeing the incident. There have been comments emailed to this site that actually defend the actions of kidnappers and others who instigate and escalate danger to children, (curiously, all from Frankfort, Kansas) and if an understanding of how quickly such a crime can be committed can be conveyed, perhaps a life can be saved.

Young Hailey would have been much safer in this company than in the company of the teacher/coach who killed her.

Have You Guys Had Enough Koolaide Yet?

This is the latest from Anonymous on Edward Snowden. China would not cooperate with the United States in sending Snowden back home to face prosecutorial misconduct and judicial harassment for the act, not the crime, of informing the American population about the abuses by the American government of their fourth amendment rights. Russia would not send Snowden back to the United States, either. While Booz Allen Hamilton, Snowden's former employer, probably has a civil complaint with Snowden, the government most certainly does not. If the United States government has a complaint with anyone, it is Booz Allen Hamilton, in the form of a civil case. There is no call to charge Snowden with espionage and ruin his life. When is the Koolaide going to stop running from everyone's kitchen faucet?

 

 

 

Art Not Imitating Life!

To the left is how a goofy, unsmart, fundamentalist Christian, Marshall County Kansas undersheriff sees himself, as per his profile picture on Facebook. He thinks he has more regard from Providence than others because he attends a fundamentalist Christian church. And below is an illustration of how he really appears! This is definitely an instance in which art and life do not imitate each other! I can hear my High Priestess in West Virginia now, pining away for the days of  ancient Rome, when we tossed such evangelical nonsensicals to the lions!

 

Governor Brownback Does Not Waste Any Sperm

 

Governor Sam Browncrack, republican, of Kansas, has announced that "life" begins at conception, and is about to sign a sign a bill into law that will make it so, at least in Kansas. This could mean all sorts of unintended and orwellian things, but Browncrack has a well established habit of failing to think these things through before jumping in front of microphones everywhere and earning those Koch Industries and Christian church donations to his political career.

Life does start at conception. That, I cannot argue; from the first meiosis, a unique genetic combination has been generated, and will never be duplicated or reproduced again. That said, why are these genetic combinations so important prior to birth, yet unimportant after birth? From limiting health benefits for financially underpriveleged children to cutting the budgets for public schools, Governor Brownback has shown himself to be very unconcerned about children, rather than to care about them. On a related note, this bill, if signed into law, will enable obstetricians to withhold any grave diagnostic information from pregnant mothers concerning their babies, in order to discourage abortion of babies with severe medical problems. That kind of
diagnostic nondisclosure means that such a mother would also lose the opportunity to seek expert care or medical innovation for herself and her baby. Nice going, Browncrack. Whoever bought your support here certainly did not think this one through very well.

What about health hazards in Kansas, such as pesticides and fertilizers used in farming? As we all know, drinking water and runoff where chemicals have been used do not mix safely. Would the Governor care to address that? What about the Keystone XL Pipeline, and the rest of the Koch Brothers' endeavors? Does Brownback have any ideas for protecting unborn children from accidental leaks of petroleum products that are as limiting as his attacks on the healthcare of women and mothers?

Of course, there is always the question of what happens if I do not know I am pregnant for awhile. That happens to women sometimes........since life begins at conception, does my unborn child count as a household member? Does he or she get a social security number before a birth certificate? If I refuse to let my child go to Brownback's church or if I refuse to teach my child to vote republican before birth, will social services do a D&C in order to take the child away? Okay; I was just joking about that......but this budding new law is also a joke. Here's one more question for Governor Sam Brownback: if I have a miscarriage, will I be arrested for involuntary manslaughter?
