Missouri House Texter

The Republican Speaker of the House in Missouri has resigned, because of some texts that were discovered. John Diehl, it seems, was caught in an illicit exchange of sexually charged messages between himself and an intern. These messages were almost certainly backed up by an illicit exchange of sexually charged deeds, and now he will no longer represent the fine, republican folks of Missouri. But he is still quite possibly representative of the fine, republican folks of Missouri.

Now it appears that Todd Richardson will inherit Diehl's deal, complete with the mallet, cell phones, and interns.

What was your serious error, dude? Was it the text messages, or the subject of the text messages?

The Arch Nemesis Can't See The Forest For The Trees

What kind of priest seriously considers bankruptcy as a valid option to protect his diocese from having to pay damages in lawsuits because of unresolved child abuse cases that keep getting won in court by victims? Why; a Catholic priest, of course! Reverend John Nienstedt, Archnemesis of the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, truly feels that despite dozens of lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct of his priests, he "couldn't see the forest for the trees", and he refuses to resign.

Before this whole matter went public, the archbishop did not perceive any problems, despite the fact that his knowledge of Minneapolis priests was the same as it is now. This means that the real problem, as the reverend sees it, is that he is having to answer in court for the priests he failed to properly train, and that the matter is now known to the general public. Back when he enjoyed the luxury of private child abuse, Nienstedt had no problems.

This type of Christian church truly pushes limits. It seems that when Catholic priests are not busy telling victims of domestic violence to apologize to their abusers, they are telling victims of hate crimes that the violence is all their fault......after all, if the victim had never been Black, Spanish, female, disabled, Pagan, Jewish, Muslim, ect., the hate crime never would have been committed! Surely the victim should "take ownership" for being different in some way or other that offended the perpetrator! Merely obeying the laws and being upstanding is obviously not good enough; we must all work harder to make the bigots happy, so they don't lash out! Ain't that right, Reverend Patrick Sullivan? And it appears that those children should all work harder at not being children, because it's all their fault that they are vulnerable, and as long as that's the case, a priest is naturally expected to take advantage of vulnerability, rather than act like a decent human being. It's never the church or the priest's fault. If the perpetrator is politically or financially better off than the victim, it's always the victim's fault when abuse takes place.

Of course, another perspective would be that Archbishop John Nienstedt should be responsible and neuter his priests.

New Hampshire Cop Hates Watching Obama On TV

Sometimes, as Shakespeare's Hamlet pined, it seems that "life is just one, long sigh." Wolfeboro New Hampshire, host of one of Mitt Romney's many abodes, is also host of a police commissioner by the name of Robert Copeland. Officer Copeland hates watching TV these days, because every time he turns on his TV, he sees that "f*cking n*gg*r", meaning President Obama. When he made this statement, he was eating in a restaurant, and speaking loudly enough be overheard by one of his constituents.

What a jerk. Not only does Copeland abuse the trust placed in him and his position by the public by downgrading part of the population, he sets a terrible example and uses language that would generate detentions and suspensions if used by children at school. It also sounds as though he might not protect and serve a constituent who happens to be African American.

Copeland refuses to resign, even though many people in Wolfeboro have requested the same. Sadly, New Hampshire is not the only state hosting ignorant racists. Pictured below is a Facebook post made by an uneducated Kansas man, calling for violence against a woman half his size. It appears that his reasons for hate are largely centered upon her religion. One of the persons who hit "like" is Tim Ackerman, the undersheriff in Marshall County, Kansas. Laura McNish, the county attorney, does not see a problem with law enforcement granting permission in such a manner to commit assault and battery for reasons of religious and cultural hate. She probably approves of the occasional racist act, as well.

Another "liker" for this post is a public school teacher in a small public school. Don't these people realize the responsibility that accompanies public office and teaching?

Is It Blackmail If You Don't Get Paid?

Interesting. Nixon actually went on national television stating that blackmail might not actually be blackmail, in elected political office, if the blackmailer suspected that he might not get paid! Voters, please pay attention when you vote, and don't get your candidates at Kmart!

Michelle Bachman, just shut up!

Private Message

My camera shouldn't worry you,
Down here on the ground,
When all the things you say and do,
Are filmed and written down.
The satellites up in the sky
Record your every move;
More powerful than you or I,
With lenses that can prove,
The lies which you and all your friends
A network so inept,
Have come so dearly to depend,
For secrets you thought kept.
Your trust misplaced in rank and file,
No match for lens with sight,
Your social power to beguile,
Is trumped by satellite!

McFish, I'm looking at YOU here! It's long overdue for someone to give you this advice! A potential juror in the jury pool for the trial you lost last month told everyone about your son destroying your personal property while you and Angela Hecke knowingly tried to charge an innocent person with the same. Do you always allow your children to deliberately drive your truck over the lawns and gardens of others?

Take This Job And Shove It

For centuries, the question, "Why did the chicken cross the road?" has been asked. And now there's a new question: why did the Pope say "Take this job and shove it"? Historically, the event of papal resignation has often been coupled with scandal and bribery. In the case of Benedict XVI, there have been rumors of even more child abuse cover-ups than the public has been made aware. It has also been speculated that Benedict XVI's past in Nazi Germany in the Hitler Youth was simply too conflicting with the perceived goals of the Church, whatever those may be; but the Hitler Youth may not have been all encompassing to the extent of influencing the Pope at this point in his life. This picture was floated around Facebook a few days ago, citing another possibility!
