He whined, during the final presidential debate, because his opponent pointed out that he complained because he didn't win an Emmy for The Apprentice, because the whole affair was "rigged"! In fact, Trump claims that anything that does not go his way is "rigged". While he probably won't win the presidential election, perhaps he can win an Emmy for his performance during all three debates.

Governor Sam Brownback Needs A New Washing Machine

As you can see, Governor Sam Brownback did not wish to discuss some pertinent financial matters about which he was quizzed by a citizen. Such arrogance! He should have known what could potentially follow: now it's not a fellow citizen or a journalist asking him if he is finished with his laundry yet, it's a federal grand jury!

From the looks of things, Jeff Colyer, Brownback's lieutenant governor is not as savvy about matters financial and "money management" as he had previously thought!

Paul Davis Throws His Hat In The Ring

House Minority Leader Paul Davis, (D) has thrown his hat into the ring to run for governor of Kansas, against Sam Brownback. He is less flamboyant than Brownback, more down to earth, much more concerned about the quality of public schools in Kansas, and does not lead public prayers. He's already looking good, and the "D" for Democrat doesn't hurt, either, although Davis has a reputation for working with both parties. His website is Davis For Kansas.

 

 

Favorite Commercial Of 2012

What totally weird and crazy stuff we have seen on TV in 2012! When I was young, people were usually too repressed and concerned with maintenance of their facades to say the things on national television that come across the airwaves now! From all of 2012's entertaining and amusing offerings, I'm gonna have to say that Obama's campaign advertisement after the first presidential debate with Romney, calling out Romney on his silly comments about cutting the funding for public television and Big Bird is my favorite commercial of 2012!

 

Mitt Romney Panders At The Expense Of Storm Victims

 

Mormon Republican, Mitt Romney, doesn't stop. He said he was going to stop campaigning and leave everyone alone because of Hurricane Sandy, but he went ahead and had his pandering session anyway, and renamed it a "storm relief effort". Here's the problem: the Red Cross needs donations of cash and blood. He is collecting food and other goods, which currently cannot be transported from Ohio to the places that would need it if the Red Cross were able to use it. The people who showed up with goods were told to wait until he arrived, and pose with him for pictures while giving the items, personally, to Mitt Romney. Had Joseph Smith ever heard of a pharisee?

Here's a description of what went on: "The event itself was billed as a “storm relief” benefit, and the Romney campaign asked supporters to bring with them food and other goods to donate to victims of the storm. But soon, reporters poked holes in the campaign’s explanation for staging the rally. First, the relief event was scheduled for the same time and location as a recently canceled political rally. Then, photos emerged, showing that donors were asked to wait to drop off their goods until Romney arrived to accept them himself, suggesting a photo op not unlike the one his running mate Paul Ryan staged earlier this month in a soup kitchen. And Salon noticed that the targeted recipient of all of the donations — the Red Cross — doesn’t even accept most of what the Romney campaign collected in Ohio."....thinkprogress

Campaign Slogans For Mitt Romney

Anyone remember this post, and the comments made by Mitt Romney, to the effect that fortyseven percent of Americans do not matter? Of course you do! The video footage was just revealed the other day. Would anyone care to know exactly who Romney was talking to when he said these things? They were people who were willing to pay $50,000 a plate to hear Romney talk about Global Tech Appliances, a Chinese company in which Romney, via Bain, invested. Global Tech Appliances, by the way, has substandard conditions for it's workers. Not that such a thing would matter to Bishop Mitt Romney. Certainly not if forty-seven percent of American citizens do not matter to him. It's hard to say which is a better campaign slogan for Mitt right now: "Corporations are people, too", or "Half of all Americans don't matter"!

An Advertisement I Actually Like

Normally, I hate campaign advertisements and ignore them. Especially the ones that end with, "I'm so and so, and I approve this message." This one is an exception, though. It was put together very well, and says exactly what I tell people concerning my not-so-positive views of the Republican Party. While this clip is very positive, I still find myself amazed that the Republican Party is comprised of people who are too arrogant to find a truly viable candidate who can run for office because he or she actually possesses the skills for the job, rather than fostering the goal of making Obama a one term president. It also amazes me that there are so many Americans who will just listen to worn out, ethnocentric, irrational and racist rhetoric, and that the Republican Party can actually employ this rhetoric!

What Would Romney Do?

Here's something to think about. And this is exactly what Mitt had to say:

"I think I wouldn't want to over-concentrate on Bin Laden. He's one of many, many people who are involved in this global Jihadist effort. He's by no means the only leader. It's a very diverse group – Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood and of course different names throughout the world. It's not worth moving heaven and earth and spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person.”

There is no doubt in my mind that Mitt Romney would not have bothered to catch Bin Laden. For that matter, how many other dangerous criminals go uncaught and unapprehended because of government officials who just don't care? If your brother gets murdered or if your child goes missing, it won't make a difference to Mitt's bank account, so why would he care? He wouldn't, and he doesn't. Osama Bin Laden was the son of a wealthy business man, so what would Romney do? He'd let Osama Bin Laden hide out forever, while making business deals with Osama's dad. It would benefit big business, other people involved in the same industry, and Mitt. But life in this country would not get better for most of us. Just one more reason to omit Mitt.
