April Ryan Got Death Threats

Journalist April Ryan asked press secretary Sarah Sanders, the other day, if Donald Trump had any thoughts about resigning the presidency because of all of his recent legal woes. Sarah Sanders rudely told Ms. Ryan that the question was "ridicules" and moved on, without answering it. All she wanted to know is whether or not the current president is considering resignation in the face of all of the evidence amassed against his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, and against himself. After all, Nixon resigned, in the face of much, much less evidence. Why wouldn't Trump consider such a sensible option? The question is not ridicules, at all. What is ridicules, and against the law, are the criminal threats that have been issued to Ms. Ryan by Trump's base. Why are people who enjoy the leadership of criminals and who vote for filth, such as Donald Trump, threatening a person's life? Is this the reaction of today's Republicans when someone asks a question?

How To Help Harvey Victims

Hurricane Harvey, now a tropical storm, has affected many people in southern Texas. In addition to all of the services the Red Cross typically provides during a disaster, this storm has necessitated the need for long term shelter for people who now have nowhere to live. To donate to the Red Cross, you can call 1-800-REDCROSS, or to make an immediate $10.00 donation, you can text "Harvey" to 90999.

Pictured below, is what those affected by the storm do not need. Donald Trump visited Baton Rouge last year, after some serious flooding displaced a large number of people. He was convinced that they needed Play Doh. He is scheduled to visit the Houston area on Tuesday. Hopefully, he will not make the same mistake again.

Advice For The Child In Chief

Haha! This is too funny! Donald Trump should just resign......before the impeachment proceedings begin! Of course, whether he resigns or not, all investigations into his criminal conduct, before and after the 2016 election, will continue!

Attention, Donald Trump

Trump should really stop tweeting nasty things about his constituents. That kind of behavior is really tacky when done by a president.

Abbie Hoffman Moment

I don't know where this video came from, but it is hilarious! It is worth its twelve minutes. Not much has changed since Richard Daley, the late former mayor of Chicago, uttered his famous Freudian slip, "The policeman isn't there to create disorder, the policeman is there to preserve disorder." Judging by today's reality, it would appear that policemen still perceive their jobs as such. I think Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin were onto something with their idea of wearing helmets to peaceful demonstrations.

Trump Profits From An Act Of War

There are reasons why we demand that those who serve in the office of President divest themselves of any financial conflict of interest. The president is in office to serve ALL Americans, not just one or two in-groups, his family, or himself.

Donald Trump recently told Fox News that he used Tomahawk missiles in response to Assad's sarin gas attack on civilians in Syria. Later, it was discovered that Trump actually owns stock in Raytheon, the company that manufactured the missiles used in the attack. Mr. Trump has yet to sell his stock and he just made almost 100 million dollars because of that attack. This means that we have a president who personally profits from war and from acts of war, not from peace. This is also one of the reasons presidents in the United States are required, by law, to divest themselves of any financial interest that creates a conflict of interest between themselves, their bank accounts, and the American people.

Donald Trump Lacks Manners: Declined Invitations

Wow. A fancy inaugural ball for a flamboyant, rich narcissist, and people already do not want to go. Not even for the forty-fifth president of the United States! John Lewis, (D) Georgia, recently declined and told his constituents that he wasn't going because he felt that the election was not won honestly. That was all; he just didn't want to go. This is the same John Lewis who marched with Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma on March 7, 1965, and was beaten black and blue by law enforcement. Instead of thanking Lewis for his devotion to his country and for responding to the invitation, Trump got on Twitter and insulted Lewis and his district, referring to Lewis's district, Atlanta, Georgia, as a "shambles" and "crime infested". Not only has Trump forgotten that New York is a rather "crime infested", as well; he has completely breached etiquette for a president in such a situation. Rather than responding to the declined invitation on Twitter, it would have been much more gracious for incoming President Trump to simply send Congressman Lewis a hand written note expressing regret at the declined invitation and hope to work with Lewis soon. That is all that needs to be said by a president when an invitation is declined.

At this writing, there are twenty-three United States senators and congressmen declining invitations to the inaugural ball, and the list is growing. There is also a list of dignitaries planning to give the swearing in ceremony a miss. This is a big deal, and should serve as a wake-up call to the president elect concerning etiquette and manners when an invitation is either accepted or declined. Donald Trump should, by this time, understand that there are many, many people who shy away from circus atmospheres and do not care to attend unruly events hosted by the nouveau riche. Haven't Trump's rallies already been violent enough?

Should A President Understand The Law?

Bill Maher has already forced Donald Trump to produce his birth certificate. He also gave Trump an education on the first amendment. I, for one, will miss having a president who knows the law and understands the Constitution.

Donald Trump's Campaign Song

And now, here is the best possible campaign song for Donald Trump! He whined, during the final presidential debate, because his opponent pointed out that he complained because he didn't win an Emmy for The Apprentice, because the whole affair was "rigged"! In fact, Trump claims that anything that does not go his way is "rigged". While he probably won't win the presidential election, perhaps he can win an Emmy for his performance during all three debates.

Donald Trump And Live Microphones

Here's a clip of Donald Trump having a conversation, in 2005, near a live microphone. At the time, he probably didn't think his words mattered very much. After all, the words were only a verbal manifestation of Trump's thoughts, and of his desires of the moment. His judgement, which was kinda bad, was obviously not important to him at the time, because he thought that as a celebrity with money, he did not need integrity or an upstanding character. Apparently, he also did not think he was under any obligation to set a good example for his children. Now that he is trying to buy the White House, he says he's sorry. Why should we believe him? If he was truly sorry for all of his character flaws, wouldn't he have brought that up before now?

The Answers Are Blowing In The Wind

It looks, after the first presidential debate, as if the answers to the questions that are put to Donald Trump are blowing in the wind, but not coming from the candidate. How could the Republican Party have nominated this man to run for president?

Alice Cooper, A Troubled Man For Troubled Times

So, what happened to Alice Cooper's bid for president? His platform, A Troubled Man For Troubled Times, is perfect, especially for a Republican candidate! This is the funniest thing your blogger has seen all day!

Abbie Hoffman Moment

This is Abbie Hoffman's answer in court, during the Chicago Seven trial, concerning why he introduced a pig as a presidential candidate during a protest. He might not even be able to distinguish between Donald Trump and the chosen mascot!

The Dirt On The Donald

It's actually about time. And Mr. Trump should have "expected" it. Donald Trump whines about illegal aliens, yet has married two females (your writer hesitates to call them ladies) who were not in America legally. In fact, the first female had defected from her native Czechoslovakia from behind the Iron Curtain. So much for respect of boundaries and citizenship; it is quite clear that Trump either does not mean what he says about it, or thinks that a career as a mail-order bride is a valid path to American citizenship.

Donald Trump also promotes his business savvy. Bankruptcies, at least four, in Trump's case, are permissible in the cases of individuals, but does America wish to force bankruptcy on a generation of children? Is it a way to run a nation? Because such procedures end up in court, the details are naturally open for all to read. If Trump actually secures the Republican nomination, many journalists and publications will proclaim these details, over and over again. It is only a matter of time. "The Donald" should really hope that there was nothing shady or unlawful in any of his past dealings. Remember Geraldine Ferraro and the error in her taxes? What are the chances, given his entire career, that there is unfavorable information concerning Trump's financial history?

How about "The Donald's" manners? Can America trust him to represent her, proudly? His illicit romantic affairs make Bill Clinton's tryst with Monica Lewinsky look puny. Trump even tried to convince a family law court to change the terms of divorce to include stopping his first wife from speaking about him in public, (see above link) but instead was schooled about the First Amendment to America's Constitution. How would he deal with the constant satire to which any public official is subjected? The world is not going to stop turning just for Donald Trump, so it seems that he really should have expected the reaction of Anonymous, along with many a journalist, IRS agent, former spouse, and many others. It's a no-brainer.

David Duke And Kris Kobach

What do David Duke, former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and Kris Kobach, current Kansas Secretary of State, have in common? They have both endorsed Donald Trump for president in the 2016 election. After co-authoring Arizona's racist "papers please" laws, aimed at anyone who looks foreign in a non-white way, Kobach has gone the extra mile and endorsed the same candidate that a former leader in one of the most notorious hate groups in the nation has also endorsed. Coincidence? Or could both men be racists? Wannabe and aspiring Grand Wizard Kris Kobach is pictured on the left.

Donald Trump And Adolf Hitler

Donald Trump is now barking some insane nonsense about forcing all Muslims in America to wear identification which distinguishes them, at a glance, from other Americans. He was interviewed by Yahoo and by NBC because of some vague comments he made on the subject, and he attempted to justify it by calling such violations of the first, fourth, and fifth amendments "good management" for America. He also stated that America has "no management", with which yours truly does not agree.

Either Trump erroneously blames America's problems on one religion; thinks he can win the presidency by inciting more hatred toward Muslims; or he is simply a bigot who feels he can run rough shod over any population within America he chooses. In the mean time, it appears that Donald Trump has no problem with the five white supremacists who were arrested recently in a foiled plot to kill people, while they worship in synagogues and black churches.

Where have we heard this idea about the outward identification and isolation of members of a certain religion? Does it sound, at all, familiar?

Trump also stated that he favors keeping a national data base of names
of anyone who happens to be Muslim. How is it that America is actually
taking Trump seriously? Especially while America prides itself on religious
freedom? Isn't it also interesting that while Trump wants to wall off our
country to keep foreigners out, he fancies women from Slovenia and
Czechoslovakia?

Of course, each of those women became American citizens AFTER
marrying "The Donald".

Here's more about those interviews. America needs to wake up.
