Should A President Understand The Law?

Bill Maher has already forced Donald Trump to produce his birth certificate. He also gave Trump an education on the first amendment. I, for one, will miss having a president who knows the law and understands the Constitution.

Enroll A Child In School With No birth Certificate

Want to know where you can still enroll a child in school with no birth certificate, despite federal law, requiring that a school see a valid birth certificate prior to enrollment? Frankfort, in Frankfort Kansas will do this for you! Actually, you do not necessarily even need to prove that you have legal custody of a child, or that you are, indeed, one of the child's parents in order to enroll! Dean Dalinghaus, the principal at Frankfort, is so bent on harvesting all the dollars he can harvest for enrolling as many children as possible, while providing as little classroom instruction as possible, that he will enroll anyone under four feet tall! He will probably enroll dogs, cats, and parakeets if he can find inactive social security numbers or other identities for them!

I wonder which class Frankfort found for this new student.

Could Santa Claus Be Real?

Anything is possible, I suppose; but perhaps we should check his birth certificate. Anyone can supposedly get a drivers' liscence!

 

Romney Does Not Know Why He Lost

Mitt Romney still can't get over the fact that, in order to be the president, one must win an election. He also does not understand that while a large number of Americans, in his estimation, forty-seven percent....but probably a lot more.......are not important to Mormon whoremongers such as himself, their votes actually ARE important during a presidential election. Instead of looking at all the ways he alienated the American public, he has chosen to continue his dumbass rhetoric about the legendary "forty-seven percent", this time stating that President Obama gave "gifts" to minorities, or somehow, through his policymaking,"bought" their allegiance. If that's truly the case, perhaps ol' Mitt should have taken that into account before he decided that he wanted to be their (the forty-seven percent's) president. Because last Tuesday, he discovered that the White House is not for sale, and that it's also not for Mitt Romney.

The biggest reason Mitt Romney did not get elected has to do with his mouth. He opened it too many times. And on those occasions, the stuff that came out was frightnin'. Three times that stand out in my memory are his "corporations are people, too, my friend" comment; the debate he had with Newt Gingrich during which he began his dialogue with a comment about Gingrich's love life; and, of course, the famous remark about the forty-seven percent of Americans....and how they are people who do not matter because they do not fall into a catagory that enables the IRS to tax them at a rate that would make their opinions or lives count inasmuch as Mitt Romney is concerned. Of course, there was all of Romney's flip-flopping on issues and policies, there were the tax returns he would not show the public, there were the emails and other records from his governorship he hid or destroyed, there was his wife and her spoiled, selfish demeanor, and his lack of manners during all three presidential debates, his lies during all three debates...right in Obama's face; and many, many more problems with his character and performance as governor. He also tried to play the birth certificate card. And then....Hurricane Sandy....Mitt Romney ran away to Ohio, canceled a rally, then sent his aides to buy five thousand dollars with of odds and ends from a local Walmart, then held his "rally" anyway, so that he could pose with the untransportable goods. Then he threw the stuff he told everyone he was going to donate to storm victims in the trash. Why? Because the Red Cross could not transport it. The Red Cross also told Romney that they needed donations of cash and blood. But did we see anyone on Team Romney donating blood? I sure didn't. Romney lost the election because he is a liar and a sham, and the American people were able to see it.

Obama didn't give the "forty-seven percent" anything besides the best government he could. Obama won the election because he is interested in running this country, for everyone; not just fifty-three percent of us. He also won because more people voted for him. More people from the "forty-seven percent" imaginary demographic, and from the "fifty-three percent" imaginary demographic. I do not believe any corporations voted, though.

 

Donald Trump Has Something Big?

Donald Trump has "something very big" concerning the president. And that's fine, except, it sounds like a personal problem to me. Could it be bigger than big bird? Donald Trump likes to howl and cry with the birthers about Obama's birth certificate. He might be racist, or he might simply be unwilling, along with other very wealthy people, to invest in the middle class. Or, he may have other issues. "The Donald" says he's going to announce "the big thing" via "the Twitter" on Wednesday. Perhaps he should take a cold shower instead.

Mitt Romney's Birth Certificate

Mitt Romney has decided to attack the President about his birth certificate. He states that because it is "obvious", somehow, to votors that he (Romney) was hatched in Michigan, no one has ever asked to see his birth certificate. Americans have, however; asked to see Romney's tax returns, but Romney, as a bishop in his "church" is apparently used to doing whatever he pleases, rather than being responsible to votors. So he refuses to show us whatever is hidden in his tax returns. Obama has shown us his birth certificate several times. Perhaps Americans should see Romney's birth certificate, to make sure he was not born in Canada, or on Planet Kolob, and therefore not eligable to serve as president.

Arpaio Thinks Birth Certificates Are More Important Than Real Police Work

Sheriff Arpaio strikes again! He's hot on Obama's trail! (seriously; where's the eye-rolley when I need it?) He's training his merry gang of volunteers, the Cold Case Posse, to scan copies of Obama's birth certificate, over and over again, with a magnifying glass, and....who knows...maybe a ouija board....for anything at all that can stir up the merry gang of "birthers", those determined but unstable folk who think it's not okay to have a president of mixed race born in a rather new state, (bona fide, inasmuch as our constitution is concerned) but think it would have been okay to have a whiter president born in another country, namely Panama, in a CIVILIAN hospital. (possibly not bona fide, according to the constitution)

Isn't there enough actual crime in Arizona and nationwide to keep volunteers for any law enforcement organization busy? Everyone from Sherlock Holmes to Donald Trump has had a look at President Obama's birth certificate, only to determine that it's authentic. Arpaio's efforts to reduce recidivism among convicts resonated among his constituents because they were a teeny bit parallel to reality. While his ideas to reduce illegal immigration in his community were unconstitutional and unethical, the ideas still responded to a real situation. But this birth certificate thingy has been proven quite a few times to be imaginary. Just a bunch of undereducated, undersocialized, unsmart prejudiced people who want a white male for president.

Crime in Arizona sometimes requires volunteer efforts.....let's see: we have the Jhessye Shockley case. Other children sometimes go missing in Arizona and need to be found. Volunteer efforts are almost always needed at some level in those cases. Why don't we see Arpaio putting his time and energy into that? Or....if he really has time to snoop at things that are not truly his own state's jurisdiction, such as another citizen's birth certificate, why not help with out of state missing persons cases? Kyron Horman,  Lisa Irwin, and Ayla Reynolds are still missing. If Arpaio doesn't want to do anything difficult, such as actually search or do police or hard core volunteer work, but prefers riling up the public with his take on documentation, instead; what's wrong with organizing volunteers to update and age progress some of these missing childrens' pictures?  

If Arpaio is using the President's birth certificate to garner attention from right wing loonies and gain votes during the next election, perhaps he would gain better and more solid attention for actually mobilizing his volunteers to solve real crimes and real problems, rather than acting on unbased impulses and insane thoughts.

Lisa Irwin, Doppelgangers, And Identification For Children

The latest in the news in the case of Lisa Iriwn, the one year old who was reported missing on October 4 from Kansas City, Missouri, is, sadly, not that she has been found; but that another child keeps getting mistaken for her. And according to the little girl's parents, the mistake makers have been aggressive and creepy about it, too, putting their hands on the baby in public and harassing the parents. I will not put a picture of this child on my blog for two reasons, first, she is not Lisa Irwin, who is still missing; second, she does not need that kind of publicity. Please take my word for it when I say that the pictures I have seen of this child do not bear enough of a resemblence to Lisa to justify the harassment through which her parents have gone. Slimmer face, more teeth. At least five times, and hopefully not counting, this child's parents have had to prove their relationship with their daughter to law enforcement. If I were them, I would dress my daughter in boy's clothing for the next month or two!

I have a doppelganger of a missing child in my brood, too. Last summer, while traveling to the East Coast with all six of my children, someone in a Walmart in Indiana looked briefly at the pictures of missing children on the wall, and then at one of my sons. "He looks just like this picture of Kyron Horman!", the woman said. That was the first I had ever heard of Kyron Horman, it was about five weeks after he went missing from Skyline Elementary in Portland, Oregon. Several hundred miles later, in West Virginia, someone actually phoned in a "Kyron sighting"! That was interesting. I had never had one of my children mistaken for someone who is missing before, but since my son was old enough to talk, it was not a problem. No one reached out and grabbed him, either. If anyone had, I am not sure what I would have done. As it sits, I am still encouraged that there are people who cared enough about finding Kyron Horman to look for him in the first place. Even so, I packed a copy of my son's birth certificate in my suitcase before my next cross country trip, during the winter break last year.

About these missing child "sightings", allow me to advise this: if you really think you are looking at a missing child who is being sought by local law enforcement and the FBI, it is best to just call them. Unless the kidnapping is a familial kidnapping or custodial interference, none of us can truly understand what goes on in the minds of persons who would steal or harm children. Aggitating such a person is unwise for many reasons. In a store, letting security know, so that they can hone in on the image of the child with surveillance camaras and call the local police is a much better idea. Also, there is certainly nothing wrong with copying down a liscence plate number for the police. But it is best not to seek out a confrontation with someone you suspect has committed a very serious crime.

One day, perhaps the entire country will make picture ID's for children available. Then, I will not need to take my son's birth certificate with me when I travel. A picture ID is probably the only immediate relief the family of Lisa Irwin's doppelganger is likely to obtain. Picture ID's for children in Lisa Irwin's age group would need to be updated frequently, as children grow and change quickly. When I did a search on the subject earlier today, I was disappointed, as only a handful of states even offer them. Until we wake up to the need for identification for children, it looks like we are stuck with passports.

Kyron Horman, who has been missing for over eighteen months. Every day, I am disappointed when I do not see any news of his return home. It is well past time for this.

Instead Of A Cold Case For Terri Horman

It's Monday, and in response to Terri Horman's refusal to work with police in Portland, Oregon to assist in locating her nine year old stepson, Kyron Horman, who disappeared on June 4, 2010 from Skyline Elementary, I usually post about a cold case that occured some time in this country and was solved at a much later date, after going cold. Not only do I give Terri Horman something to find when she googles her name online to see how famous she is, I give myself a chance to run pictures of Kyron again, in hopes that the right person will see them and recognize him. Today, I am going to do something a little bit different.

Someone I know, who is also hoping to see Kyron found safe and back home with his parents, recently put together some some pictures of how Kyron might look with different hairstyles, hair colors, and with and without glasses. Chances are, if someone is hiding him, Kyron does not look the same as he looked when he went missing. Over the weekend, I posted those "possible" looks on this blog. And now, I've gotton a request to reiterate the idea expressed in those posts with this video, and also a request to reiterate the point made in this post: http://siriunsun.blogspot.com/2011/10/update-on-lisa-irwin.html, specifically, if you work at a clinic, daycare, or school, please check birth certificates, court orders, and all other ID to make certain that the child actually IS the person he is presented as, and that the adult who accompanys him truly has custody. Update On Lisa Irwin

Police still have no leads or information to help lead to Lisa Irwin, or find her kidnapper. Lisa's parents have put out a plea to whoever is responsible, begging for Lisa's safe return. To this, I would add, if you know someone who suddenly has a female infant in their care or custody that was not there before, or if you work in a doctors' office or daycare and suddenly have someone bring in a patient or client who wasn't part of their original family, please insist upon seeing a birth certificate and court order (if applicable) indicating that this person actually has custody. I know, from personal experience in Northeast Kansas, that these steps and precautions are often ignored by professionals, to the detriment of the children and families who depend on them. Here's a case in which routine professionalism can save the day, and a child's life.
