I've been following the situation with your son for over a year now. I just want to say that I wish him well, and if he recovers, I will be very happy for him. No question about that. I have some reservations about you, though. You do remember when you badmouthed me behind my back, because you don't like my religion, don't you? I didn't have any use for your born-again church, and I told my children that if, while pretending to teach classes, you continued to mention your silly take on Christianity, they didn't have to listen to you. I'm sure you remember. Even after you quit teaching because no one else liked your approach, either, you still, despite being holier than everyone else, never bothered to teach your children to obey the laws of the land. That brings me to my big question for you: when are you going to get on Facebook and admit to the world that your son's injuries in his car accident were not really the result of failure to use a seat belt, but failure to remain sober while driving? I know alcohol was involved, because I asked the sheriff of the county where your son's vehicle flipped over. How come you have accepted monetary donations without straight-up honesty about it? I am not a Christian, and not terribly religious at all, but I know enough about the new testament to tell you that lying and fraud are wrong. Possibly even more wrong, from a moral standpoint, than teaching your children that the laws of the land do not apply to them. Just tell the truth.

Oh, by the way; "the devil" is not responsible for what happened to your son when he drove drunk last May. Your son is responsible for it. And so are you, indirectly. If you had not chosen to send your children to school where virtually all of the children drink alcoholic beverages, with the approval of teachers, despite the laws against it, your son would probably have never been where he was that night, and if your son had chosen to be "different" enough to abide by the laws of the state and the laws of the land, despite the majority of the student body of his school, the whole thing would never have happened. The youth pastor of your church has been made aware of this, so unless you want to acknowledge that the devil is in the details and tell the truth, you should leave the devil out of it.

Kris Kobach Thinks Taxpayers Owe Him Travel Expenses

When you travel, who pays your airfare? Or the airfare of your family, should you decide to take them along? You do, don't you? Well....if you pay taxes in the state of Kansas, you are also paying for the Secretary of State in Kansas, Kris Kobach, to take recreational sabbaticals with his family in aircraft and other vehicles that are owned by the state of Kansas.

Kobach is probably a bit surprised to see the media cover his abuses of taxpayer resources. After all, he and his ilk have kept the citizens of Kansas, white Christian citizens, that is; afraid to question any Republican elected official. Not only has his family taken vacations and other frills that do not rightfully belong to them, they have enjoyed Fourteenth Amendment protections while trampling the rights of any American who isn't Caucasian.

My guess about that picture you keep sending around, and the person to whom it belongs, is that he is someone who tried to help you in the past, but realized, after awhile, what a leach you are. He probably picked you up while you were hitchhiking and let you stay in his home, at which point, you discovered some minor secret in his life. You left, threatening him, and attempted to use that secret to blackmail him....am I right? But then he decided not to respond to your threats anymore, and now you are trying to make his life miserable. If his identity was actually a mystery, as you say, you probably wouldn't have such a clear picture of him. That said, you need to butt out of the missing persons case to which you have claimed that he has a connection. All you are doing is interfering with the investigation and running a serious risk of causing harm to someone who isn't even involved at a bystander's level. But then, that's what you told him you would do if he didn't pay you, isn't it?

If you either know, or seriously think, that he should be investigated, go to the police. Don't send his picture to everyone you can reach via the internet. And stop threatening people. Just come forward with what you know, if anything, and stop blackmailing people.

Kansas Gas Station Forced Customer To Pay Twice

A gas station in Kansas sold $85.11 to a customer over the weekend. She paid with a MasterCard; which, she was told, was declined. So she settled the transaction with her Visa. After getting back into her vehicle, she called the bank through which her MasterCard line of credit is extended to find out why her card was declined. Imagine her surprise when she was told that the transaction was not declined at all, but approved, and had already been paid! The customer service representative told her to go back inside the gas station and request that the transaction be voided and her money credited.

The customer went back inside and told the clerk about the phone call to the bank. The clerk insisted, despite the bank's claim that the sale was approved, that the sale had been declined. The clerk also claimed that she "did not know" how to credit a transaction! The customer then requested that she call her supervisor to resolve the conflict of having been forced to pay twice. The supervisor got the number of the bank from the customer and promised to call the bank. A few minutes later, the customer called him back, and he said that he had called the bank and that he had been told that the transaction did not go through. Then, he told the customer that he would not "pay" her anything, and asked her if she "scammed money off credit cards for a living"!

Meanwhile, back at the bank, the customer was later told that the supervisor had never called. So....at this writing, it quite looks as if he lied. A customer was forced to pay twice for her a purchase of $85.11, and then accused of "scamming credit cards for a living". This city in Kansas prides itself on being a quaint small town with a friendly atmosphere, by the way. An accusation of theft to an honest person certainly does not qualify as "friendly", and the whole interaction, from an approved purchase being reported as declined, and twice as much money extorted as was actually owed very much reeks of credit card fraud and possibly of identity theft.

The FBI has a special unit to assist victims of credit card fraud and identity theft; the link is here:http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/victim_assistance/fincrime_vic. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission keeps a record of each and every complaint received. While it does not get involved in conflict resolution, it watches for patterns of practices, such as telling customers that approved credit cards have been declined and double billing and double charging customers. This could easily have been a deliberate attempt to scan as many credit cards, for information on magnetic strips, as possible, during a day's time.

Busted! Another Kansas Attorney Bites Dust!

Phill Kline, former Attorney General of Kansas, just lost his license to practice law indefinitely, in Kansas, because of unethical conduct while he represented the state of Kansas during his "reign" as Attorney General. It seems that most of the complaints filed against him involved his obsession with womens' medicine, specifically reproductive rights and obstetric needs, and undue attention given to any clinic that offered therapeutic abortion. The items for which the Kansas Bar Association did not particularly care include, but are not limited to: giving false testimony to a judge, making false statements to the Supreme Court, allowing a member of his staff to take medical records from a clinic to her home for several weeks and stating that the records were being kept in a secure facility! (so much for doctor/patient confidentiality and hipaa) He was also faulted for seeking a subpoena from the Grand Jury without informing them of the actual law in the involved case; in other words, he wanted them to grant him carte blanche in a matter with no regard for the law. Today, in a surprising decision, the Kansas Bar Association has determined that it might not be a good idea for such an attorney to continue to practice law. Who could possibly have seen that coming?

In addition to the above unethical conduct, "the court found Friday that when he was attorney general, Kline committed misconduct by instructing members of his staff to attach sealed documents to a publicly filed document in violation of a Supreme Court order. He also told staff to file a court pleading that contained misleading information."

Whoa! Wait a minute! Back up the truck.............

Is it really unlawful and unethical for a prosecutor to file court pleadings that contain misleading information? Say it ain't so! Has anyone told the prosecutor in Marshall County? Hahaha! But seriously, folks, Kline was found to have committed eleven serious ethical violations since 2003. It's a shame the Kansas Bar Association did not seek disbarment.
