Kansas Gives Teacher Permission To Assault

According to Eyewitness News 12, a Kansas teacher and foster parent named Noble Rick Pendland was charged with sex crimes against three children, but the court accepted pleas to assault on the three charges, instead. His name does not appear in the sex offender registry, or even the violent offender registry. Each sentence is six months, eighteen months in total; and because he was held for over eighteen months in lieu of bond, his sentence was time served. He is no longer allowed to serve as a foster parent or a teacher, though. 

How backwards can Kansas possibly be? Pendland should at least be required to register in the violent offender registry, so that parents have access to his dossier when he teaches Sunday School or decides to become a priest! And telling him not to teach is useless because he does not need a teaching license to work as a para. He will probably move to Marshall County Kansas and find employment immediately at Frankfort! 

Noble Rick Pendland Sneaks Out On Bond

How did I miss this? After almost two years in jail for molesting foster children placed in his care by the state of Kansas, Noble Rick Pendland is out on bond. There is still no reported trial date set for him. I wonder why this isn't a big story, here in Kansas......? After all, Pendland WAS a foster parent, abusing children day and night with the blessings of local schools, child protective services, and the third party contractors who managed the cases! Citizens of Kansas should be outraged about this! Pendland should not have been able to leave the jail without an angry mob following him.....but no one seems too alarmed about people who abuse their positions to take advantage of others. So as of May 30, Pendland has been out on bond. It's really hard to get Kansas to pay attention when a teacher abuses children.

 

Jury Selection Begins Today For Noble Rick Pendland

Noble Rick Pendland, Kansas-chosen and Kansas-approved teacher and foster parent, should have a trial date soon for his teaching methods, which involved sex crimes against children. For a few years, no one listened to parents or children when reports were made, and Pendland's smug fellow Kansans covered for him. Apparently, not anymore. Someone lost the "magic touch" of intimidating witnesses. Thank the Gods! Jury selection will begin on Tuesday for this upstanding example of a Kansas teacher.

Noble Rick Pendland In Court Today

Noble Rick Pendland, Kansas teacher, counselor, and foster parent, is finally in court today for his preliminary hearing. Hopefully, he will not get out on bond, and force Kansas to look for his unsightly posterior parts again. That might be harder than Pendland initally thought, anyway, since yet another victim has filed in court against Mr. Pendland; this time concerning Pendland's parenting skills. This new victim was a foster child of Noble Rock Pendland.

Where does Kansas find these people? Why does Kansas think children are better off in the homes of unqualified babysitters than with their own parents? Now that some of the foster children who survive are aging out of care, what will Kansas do about the lawsuits they will most likely win because of the abuse they incurred while children in foster care? If the cases against Noble Rick Pendland are any indication of a trend, it looks like time will tell. Maybe the division of Social Rehabilitative Services in Kansas that manages foster care placements for children should be in receivership.
