Washington Politicians Can Now Inhale

Marion Barry must be very happy right now, despite the abundance of republicans in Washington, D.C. Bill Clinton is now free to inhale. Voters have decided to legalize small amounts of marijuana for "personal use"......whatever is implied by that......! One will not be free to sell, or "bootleg" weed as if it were moonshine. but one will be allowed to grow up to six plants. Why would neighboring Maryland have such a problem with a decision made by the District of Columbia, for the District of Columbia?

Put Information To Good Use

While the media has been attempting to keep the masses focused on Hobby Lobby and it's barely useful employee insurance package, (seriously; Hobby Lobby is certainly NOT the only employer out there who rips off workers via benefits) there are elections coming up later this year. Every legislative session seems to feature either subtle or blatant challenges to the fourth amendment, putting down SOPA was, sadly, not good enough for everyone; and we still have a government that isn't interested in the upholding of the Constitution. But what about the information that is available about those running for public office? Shouldn't that information be shared and discussed publicly? After all, those who hold elected positions are merely civil servants, and their lives actually SHOULD be open books. Instead of hyper-focus on some dumbass Christians who want their employees to take as much maternity leave as possible, (isn't that what happens without contraceptives?) lets put the spotlight on all of our politicians who are planning to run for public office this fall. As for sharing information about their personal lives, remember how deeply they care, OR NOT, about the privacy of all the rest of us!

Nerve Struck With Readers

A "nerve" apparently was "struck" with a few people who visited this site within the past couple of weeks. I never expected personal responses about the subject, or the subject matter, and it came as a surprise. To answer a question, yes, my comments are moderated. Also, one email address bounced back undeliverable. I have no problem with further internet discourse about this subject, (if you have contacted me about this subject, or are considering doing so, you know exactly to which I refer!!!) but please remember to be fair, and to be as kind as you can be, even if you are mad as hell. No one in cyberland, or in the real world, is perfect.
