Bishop Robert Finn Gets Away With Sex Crimes

Amazing. Bishop Robert Finn, Of Kansas City, Missouri, and of this post, has gotton away with his crime of tampering with evidence (he hid the computer containing kiddie porn when police wanted to see it) and openly allowing Father Shawn Ratigan, also of Kansas City, to produce the kiddie porn. Today in court, the state of Missouri decided to put Finn on probation for two years, then to suspend the probation, and to ask him nicely to complete some bullshit programs offered by the state to try to reform and counsel sex offenders. Since Finn is such good friends with Jesus, he does not have to pose for a picture in the National Sex Offender Registry, like others who have committed lesser crimes. Don't these people get it? This type of criminal cannot be rehabilitated. Sex offenders never change!

Meanwhile, a couple in Salem, Oregon, who were noticed by the FBI for their artistic talents in the area of unlawful distribution of child pornography and subsequesntly sought by the FBI, are in jail, after being found by the FBI. They committed a very similar crime to Bishop Robert Finn's crime, but since they do not have the same expense account that Jesus and his church have provided for ministerial offenders, they are in jail. Another tier one offender is Robert Neil Boyd, who only actually got a slap on the wrist for his kiddie porn activities. He is at least mentioned in the National Sex Offender Registry. It seems like it would be even more important for a priest to have a listing in this registry, to warn anyone with children before they visit a church in his or her parish, but, apparently; the Church enjoys taking sex crime victims by surprise.



 

What Do Bishop Mitt Romney And Bishop Robert Finn Have In Common?

What do Bishop Mitt Romney (yes, he's an LDS bishop) and Bishop Robert Finn have in common? Bishop Robert Finn was asked, several times over the past couple of years, to hand over a hard drive and a lap top to authorities. Instead, Bishop Finn made these items disappear. It seems that Bishop Romney is proficient with the same disappearing stunt.....he successfully made several hard drives and a whole slew of emails from his tenure as Governer of Massachusetts disappear. When Bishop Finn's magically missing laptop was found, law enforcement discovered that they had some very serious issues, specifically, kiddie porn, with Catholic churches in an entire diocese, from St. Joseph, Missouri to Kansas City, Missouri. What will the general public find in Bishop Romney's emails and other records he is hiding, when and if they are found? Usually, when an official, such as a bishop, governer, or president (can anyone say "Nixon"?) refuses to turn over information such as records or communiques, it is because said official is hiding something or covering for someone. It is not because the official is doing his or her job in an exemplary fashion.

Warren Jeffs Simply Does Not Want To Quit

Warren Jeffs, the Mormon preacher-dude who went to prison for life plus twenty years because he decided that a handful of teenage and preteen girls should live with him as sex slaves, (apparently, that's "wives" in Mormon parlance) still has the cooperation of enough accomplices to present a danger to his victims while incarcerated. Despite losing his phone priveledges, he has begun a rather ambitious reorganization project for his whole sect of the church. Most pedophiles just go to jail and stay there, until they are released, then they pose for the camara and say "cheese", so that we can view thier profiles on sex offender registries, and keep our kids away from them. Not this pastor. He now wants to redo everything in his church, including who is married to who, (!!) and force everyone to swear absolute loyalty to him as if he were sorta like "God", himself. That's almost like a mob boss, or an organized crime ring, except I have not heard of anyone besides religious nuts telling others whether or not they could stay married.

When drug dealers and other slime attempt this kind of mass manipulation of others from their prison cells, they are usually stopped, on those occasions when they are caught. Prisons are discouraged from allowing criminal activities and intimidation from their "guests". Until recently, Warren Jeffs's royal highness was even using cell phones to communicate with groups of people, even at the possible inclusion of former victims. Why? Other pedophiles don't have those priveledges. Perhaps it is time to consider that the people, other church people, who help this minister victimize folks, are aiding and abetting crimes. Perhaps it is time to tell Reverend Jeffs that he may not communicate with the outside world anymore.

The curious aspect of this is that there are over ten thousand people who actually still listen to Warren Jeffs. These are people who want to tell our lawmakers and the government that while they understand the laws, including those concerning child abuse, they feel that their diety allows them to overlook those laws, and that our judicial system should, for Jesus, look the other way and not bother Warren Jeffs or other Mormons when they sexually abuse children. To be fair, the Catholic Church is guilty of this, too. Bishop Robert Finn is one of the foremost examples. But while prosecuting a Catholic priest presents a few challenges, once said priest is incarcerated, he is usually not aided and abetted by his parishoners in various probation violations and in commission of the same crimes. And almost never to the tune of thousands of people at a time. To date, there is no record of an incarcerated priest delivering mass via cell phone in violation to prison rules and sentencing guidelines.

Speaking of electronic communiques, why, oh why, have our lawmakers been distracted by nonsense like SOPA, and attempts at extraditing people like Kim Schmitz, of Megaupload, and also of New Zealand, when there are convicted criminals in our own prison system using much simpler means of electronic communication to do much more harm?

Your Sheriff On Drugs

Earlier this week, Randy Axelson, sheriff of Rooks County, Kansas, got arrested because the Kansas Bureau of Investigations suspected his involvement in distribution of methamphetamine. As Axelson is not the first police officer or the first authority figure to get arrested for drugs, this would not have caught my attention, except for the fact that there are actually human beings, in Kansas, putting comments on the internet about how unfair it is that poor Randy got arrested! Unfair?? Are these people aware of the differences between a pot plant in a flowerpot, and a meth lab?

I was quite surprised to learn that people like Bishop Robert Finn, of Kansas city, Missouri, could allow and protect kiddie porn perps, and possibly participate in kiddie porn stuff, and still have a pretty generous following of supporters and people who think he should not be charged with a crime, when the very same people would want anyone else doing the same perverted things to be charged with a crime. Authority figures are not above the law. I suppose I should not have been surprised at the supporters of the sheriff. Maybe they were his customers, before he went to jail, and got released with some new ankle jewelry.

Kyle Richards Goes To Court

In July of this year, I posted about a man (and I use the word "man" rather loosely here) named Kyle Richards, who went to prison for armed robbery in Michigan. While in prison, he apparently got bored and horny, and respectfully requested video games and porn, with which to pass the time while serving his sentence. Where's the eye-rolley when I need it? He was duly told, by his gentleguards and corrections officers, that prison is not a game or a night club, and video games and porn are not provided. That was when poor Kyle became extreemly upset, and filed suit in court for cruel and unusual punishment...........

Fast forward to now; our young and extreemly horny Kyle is back in court, and back in the news. According to The Detroit Times, he has filed a handwritten motion accusing Fox News of slandering him and causing others to ridicule him over his previous lawsuit, which was against the governer of his state and against the corrections department that denied him his nudie pics. Here is a quote: “The coverage I received was so outrageous, degrading and slanderous that I was humiliated and morbidly offended by the entire story,” he wrote, noting that it subjected his younger brother and sister, who attend school in Macomb County, to ridicule." Actually, young Kyle is slandering Fox News! All they did was relate the details of the lawsuit, very briefly. (no pun intended) And that is what the media does. It grabs stories from various sources, from police reports to politics to recently filed lawsuits, and anything else that might be interesting, and regurgitates the stories for publication. A story can be edited and rewritten any number of times. The fact that Kyle is hilarious and crazy is not the media's fault! I do feel sorry for his younger siblings, though.......if I were either of them, I would file suit as well, to change my name! And "morbidly" offended? Seriously? Kyle obviously has a flair for the dramatic!

Another interesting and outrageously funny quote from this article is, “Within my lawsuit, I alleged I suffer from severe nervous and sexual disorders, including a disorder known as ‘chronic masturbation syndrom(e),” which Richards blames on the conditions of his imprisonment." ..........I really don't know if there is a realistic response to that. A snarky suggestion of my own would be to arrange a pastoral visit with the infamous pastor, Bishop Robert Finn, who appears very understanding of "these things". He might even get the bishop to bring some clandestine inapproriate material with him! A prison conversion would certainly have it's perks, right? Ok........I am being sarcastic.

Upon request for a response to all of this funniness, Fox News only offered this:  "We are aware of the matter," according to a Fox 2 spokesperson."  I'm sure they ARE aware.......VERY aware! They probably can't get any of their journalists involved with this matter to stop laughing!

Just Say No

This is truly amazing. Bishop Robert Finn, thanks, I'm sure, to his four lawyers paid for by his parishoners, (does the Catholic church have a special fund for when it's leadership gets caught with pants down?) has worked out a deal with the prosecuting attorney in Kansas City, Missouri that allows him to avoid jail time, future court dates, and having his picture grace the sex offender registry as long as he checks in with the prosecuting attorney once a month for five years and reports any inapproriate or illegal conduct he sees between children and priests in his diocese! Why....of course! Here it is, curtesy of Reuters:

"Finn agreed to report monthly directly to Clay County Prosecuting Attorney Daniel White, and to "apprise him of any and all reported suspicious or alleged abuse activities involving minors" throughout the diocese's Clay County facilities, the prosecutor's office said."

Bishop Finn (along with the rest of us) is required to report things like crimes against children, internet kiddie porn, aquisition, sale, and creation of internet kiddie porn, along with human trafficking and the occasional molestation that apparently goes on here and there in church, to the police anyway. The court should not have to extend him an engraved invitation to do so. In the past, Finn actually gave a computer containing kiddie porn away in order to conceal it from law enforcement. In anyone else's world, this is called "tampering with evidence" or "obstruction of justice", but apparently, not in church. How can sheeple seriously remain brainwashed concerning this? Hasn't research shown that sexual predators never change?

But let me avoid picking exclusively on Catholics. Just a few miles away, in Lawrence Kansas, we have what appears to be a Lutheran problem. Christopher McCormack, a Lutheran youth pastor, just got thirty days behind bars for sexual misconduct with someone who was not old enough to consent. It would seem that Christian pastors in the Midwest are able to hide all kinds of things behind their frocks and computer screens. Luckily, I have already taught my children to say "no" to Jesus.

I Wonder If Bishop Finn Is Nervous Yet

It appears that Catholic clergy who commit, aid, and abet crimes against children are not as popular  among Americans as previously thought. And who knows.......Kansas City may even catch on. A Miami jury just awarded 100 million dollars to a victim of Father Neil Doherty, for abuses that took place twenty-six years ago. Here's his mug:

There is one matter that I find quite disturbing about Bishop Robert Finn, and Kansas City Christians......why are his parishoners paying his legal expenses that he racked up in connection to kiddie porn? Why's that okay with Christians? Because, from a perspective completely outside of the Church, that's how it looks. Either Christians accept crimes against children as "business as usual", or human trafficking is not a problem when a priest is involved. One would have to be drunk on koolaide and extreemly brainwashed to take either position.

Charges Against Bishop Robert Finn Should Be Dropped?

This is amazing! And also disturbing........we actually have fellow "citizens" in this country who approve of human trafficking, as long as it is done by clergy in the Catholic Church! According to Frank Kessler, who teaches government at Missouri State, the fact that Bishop Robert Finn has apologized should be enough, and the State of Missouri should just drop the charges, so that Catholics all over the Kansas City area can get back to Catholicism as usual, with no interruption to their child abuse or sexual perversion practices. Here's what he said, in the Kansas City Star on Oct. 18, 2011:

"Bishop Finn already apologized a number of times for his poor administrative judgment involving the supervision of one of his priests, Father Shawn Ratigan."

Does this mean that a simple, but heartfelt apology should be accepted by the state from all sex offenders and human trafficking scum? I hope that's not what Kessler means, because if it is, and if Missouri listens to him, then sex offenders all over the state will have a legal precedent to "just apologize" and expect to spend no time in jail or sit for a photo to be published in the sex offender registries. What I really think Kessler means is that it should be okay with me if a Christian or a priest abuses my child. And that is not okay with me.

Here's another statement from the same article from Kessler:

Finn is being prosecuted for lapses in judgment and missing what went on below him. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is being investigated for lapses leading to deaths involving Operation Fast and Furious. Should he be prosecuted? I would say no unless there is evidence that he lied or willfully disobeyed the law. He deserves the benefit of the doubt as does Finn.

Let me just point out that Finn is not being prosecuted for "lapses in judgement" or for "missing" what went on "below him". I doubt if the Missouri code even lists "lapse in judgement" as a crime. Finn has been charged with sex crimes and accessory to sex crimes. If there was no evidence that he lied, or willfully disobeyed the law, there would not have even been probable cause for an arrest warrent. At best, Finn was COVERING for some very nasty criminals. At worst, Finn was also part of it. And these crimes are federal, which means that Kessler feels that the entire country, not just Missouri, owes Finn more latitude just because he is a Christian pastor, than we would give anyone else involved in a kiddie porn ring. As part of the rest of the country, let me just say that I do not agree with Kessler, that his kiddie-porn friend deserves the charges dropped because of his association with Jesus, and an opportunity to continue to victimize children. And when any other kiddie porn ring is busted, federal agents and local cops stock up on hand sanitizer and protective gloves,(trust me.....no one actually wants physical contact with a kiddie porn thug) supoena any and all computers involved, and investigate anyone involved. It may take time, but this is what needs to happen. Even when representatives of Jesus think they can traffic our children. The idea that a criminal who belongs to the Christian Holier Than Other Criminals Club should be granted some type of special favor is simply offensive. As for Finn deserving the benefit of any doubt, I say no. I think it is enough of an offense to the rest of the population that he is not rotting in jail waiting for his court date, but using church funds for four attorneys.

Oh....speaking of computers, instead of handing over his priest's computer to the police, as ordered, Finn gave the computer in question to someone in the family of the priest in question. In everyone else's world, this is called tampering with evidence, and; of course, possession of child pornography and refusal to cooperate with law enforcement. If this is what Jesus would have done, or if this is what Jesus would have been involved in, or what Jesus DID do via Finn, perhaps one can see why I think the whole Christian thingamajigger, religion, creation theory, sex offenders going straight to heaven, and all, is total bullshit. Perhaps one can also see why I think Bishop Robert Finn is not going to stop whatever it is he is doing. And if he were not a bishop, I think authorities would have already thrown him in jail with the rest of the arraigned and fingerprinted population, instead of allowing him to continue to preach and take pictures.

In Case Anyone Missed Church Yesterday

Ok..........I know Pat Robertson emitted this bit of nonsense several years ago, but it hasn't stopped making me convulse with laughter. He actually got on the air to say that candy factories hire Witches right before they ship their Halloween candy to stores to........get this........coax demons into the candy to inhabit the souls and bodies of those who eat the candy! No kidding.......I have nothing better to do all day, than sit and coax evil spirits into pieces of candy to be eaten by unsuspecting hungry people, all just to make the world a better place! Where's the eye-rolley when I need it?!

Pat Robertson and Company also warn against "sex with demons" on Halloween night! But I can't help but notice, after the trouble Bishop Robert Finn, of Kansas City, Mo. has gotton into of late, that there are no injunctions among Christians to avoid having sex with people who are underage! I guess if they break out in  rashes of search warrents and confiscated computers, their lawyers can cope; but if they break out in rashes of "demonic herpes", they won't be able to find a doctor who can cure them!

Bishop Robert Finn And The Immaculate Conception

Several days ago, Rick, of http://bentcorner.com/ commented on my post about Bishop Robert Finn, and his arrest for kiddie porn, specifically, allowing priests in his diocese to buy, sell, and trade kiddie porn; and Rick wanted to know if the local papers would run a booking photo of him, without his red cape and collar. I promised to look for one, and so far, have not been able to find such a photo. But I did find a photo of Finn entering the Cathredral of the Immaculate Conception in Kansas City Mo., this past Sunday. Word has it that he did not mention his arrest.................how surprised can I be? Not! Lots of people, mostly not Catholics or Christian, have been publicly asking Finn to simply step down or retire. He refuses. Either his attorney has advised him that such a move would look like an admission of guilt, he does not feel that human trafficking by way of child pornography is wrong, or retirement would inconvenience him by making kiddie porn harder to obtain and dispense if he stepped down and relenquished access to church computers. Perhaps all three. Here's a pic of Finn in what must be his Halloween costume.

The thing I think is truly amazing is that Bishop Finn actually preached at a church named after the immaculate conception after getting arrested for sex crimes! Forgive me, devout Christians out there, for being completely irreverent here, but is Finn trying to be funny? I mean...the immaculate conception? Not scientifically possible, and obviously not personally probable! Not if one uses the priestly behaviors in Kansas City as a barometer! Geesh........I remember asking my stepmother, when I was three, about this "immaculate conception" I kept hearing about, from her Christian family. When she explained it to me, I concluded that it is only a story, and could not have actually happened. She told me that "God" made it happen. I asked her why "God" would put a woman (Miriam, or "Mary", as she is called in Kansas City, by people who would kick her out of airplanes if they met her today) he obviously cared about in circumstances wherein she would be spurned by all of the other people, and Stepmonster didn't have an answer for that. And I was only three........the age that Finn and Company apparently like best!

Now that I am a lot older, there are other questions I must ask about all this. First of all, why isn't there a true booking photo in any of the local papers of Robert Finn, looking just as nasty as any other perp who's committed a sex crime? The closest I have been able to find is this one, without his red cape, but he is still wearing his stupid looking and meaningless collar.

What makes Bishop Robert Finn so special, here in the midwest, that his mugshot does not appear in the local papers with other mugshots? Especially considering the seriousness of his crime? I mean.......I really don't care who got caught shoplifting from 7/11, or who got pulled over for DWI; but I have children of my own. When someone who preaches at a church at which my children may be invited, or officiates at a function to which I may take my children gets arrested for crimes against children, I really think the local media needs to make a much bigger deal of it, and show the world how Finn really looks, both in and out of his stupid-lookin' red cape. At this point, we really don't know if he takes off his cape, hat, and collar, and does even more pornographically illegal stuff, while not as readily recognized. Perhaps I am reaching, and I truly hope that I am........but I have seen stranger things happen.

Another question I must ask is this: why is he still preaching??? Why are his parishoners still listening to his sex offender ass? He obviously has no intention of stopping, as he has pleaded not guilty in the face of evidence and the guilt of accomplices! In my world, this makes him dangerous, and it makes his church and parishoners even more dangerous. No; my family will not be doing anything Christian any time soon. I am so glad I taught my children that Christianity is just another stupid fad, like boys wearing their jeans below their butt cracks. Did Christian pastors start that fad, too?

Another question has to do with the prioritizing of sex crimes against children, and the fact that the porn industry, when it deals in images of unwilling particapants, such as children, is HUMAN TRAFFICKING. No one here is taking this seriously enough. Here's a quote from yesterday's article in yesterday's Huffington Post that I found shocking: "At morning Mass on Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo., Tom Arnold, 60, said "your heart goes out" to abuse victims. However, he said he was reserving judgment until more information is available about the charge against the bishop. Finn faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor. The diocese also faces a $1,000 fine." Their "hearts go out to the abuse victims" BUT? But what? And people want to reserve judgement against the bishop until more information is available? Really? What information do they need? More missing children? Pictures of their own children bought and sold on seedy, illegal, CHRISTIAN websites? The bishop's picture belongs on the Missouri Sex Offender website! (will he take his collar off for THAT?) What more do these "sheeple" need in the way of information????

Ok; flame away, good Christians of Kansas City and the outlying areas. I know you will. And as long as you appear desireous of intelligent discourse, I will publish your comments and respond to them. Please promise me one thing, that you will care for your children, and protect them; and that you will question authority, even your bishop's, when it comes to the safety of your children, and that if something is going on at church that does not seem right, you will listen to your "gut feelings", and not wait until it is too late to ask the right questions and make sure your church is a safe place for children.
