Mitt Romney Actually Won Something This Year!

If You Skipped Church This Sunday
If you skipped church this Sunday, perhaps I should shed some light on what's been going on in this country outside of church. I may not have to.....it should all be obvious by now. Here is President Obama, surveying the damage done by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. Notice that he does not care what position the Republican governor has taken on issues in the past; President Obama is only worried about the storm victims and repair of the storm damage. Quite unlike President Bush, immediately after Hurricane Katrina. Obama has helped, Bush held people hostage in the Astrodome. But Mitt Romney, on the other hand, has bought food to use as props for photography sessions, (the food was later thrown away, rather than donated to any of the forty-seven percent who may reside in homeless shelters) and pandered! Door to door Mormon missionaries always carried a vacuous message, yet Romney actually found a way to hollow that message out even more.

The Book Of Trolls
There are three demographic "types" I bust on here in Siri's World: Republican politicians, Christian religious fanatics, and violent criminals, especially those who harm children. The reason I enjoy picking on Christian fundamentalists so much is because, not only is their religous text, the bible, badly mistranslated in many ways, but even the "Christ" archtype is misunderstood by most American Christians and the associated piety is almost always misapplied. Then, these people preach to me about who I should vote for, or where I should go to church, or what I should teach my children. The thing is, I already have a religion, and it isn't Christianity. I can, and do, teach my children anything I choose. There is nothing that a Christian fundalmentalist can offer me in terms of lifestyle that I need. I do not wish to vote with them in a bloc, I do not wish to attend any of their churches, and I do not wish to hear about their interpretation of their badly mistranslated scriptures at the PUBLIC school my children attend. This is what the troll who sent me this comment fails to understand: I have a constitutional right to vote for whomever I please without harassment. I have a constitutional right to bring up my children as I choose without interference. My neighbors here in Northeast Kansas have overstepped the bounderies of the law and of my constitutional rights concerning those things on more than one occasion. Here's the comment:
"Because you proclaim to be a christian, but OBVIOUSLY have missed Sunday School, here are a few verses from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. Which if you check in the "Mormons" standard works, (their books of religious text), this is what WE use to study Christ's word. Matthew 7:1 Judge not that ye be not judged. Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. If you hate Mormons so much, and proclaim to be such a better person, why not turn the other cheek like Jesus tells you to do? Smile to them that wrong you? Why do you not confront them in person even? Why Ms. Julie? Why do you feel so much comfort in cowering away to your computer, speaking evil behind that Mormon ladies back, doing the same things you claim she does to you? And if you think you are better than the "racist" mormons, think again.".....Words from the Book of Trolls
First off, my Mormon sounding troll, I NEVER proclaimed to be a Christian, unless I did it during another lifetime, which brings me to my second point; of COURSE I missed Sunday School, because I am not a Christian. Third, I do not believe I compared myself favorably to Mrs. Mormon Lady, or stated that I was better at she; I simply stated that I wished she and Mitt Romney both felt that the laws applied to them as much as the laws apply to everyone else. I also fervently wished, while recovering from major illness, that I did not have to go outside, daily, in the snow, for about six months, and clean up the trash her dog strewed all over my yard. I don't think anyone would appreciate that. Other neighbors did not appreciate it, either. And yes I did confront Mrs. Mormon Lady in person. She screamed at me and slammed her door in my face. Apparently, if I am not Mormon, I do not deserve any curtesy at all. Did you not read my initial post?
As for the book of mormon being a legitimate scripture for a Christian, it ain't so. Read the last chapter of the book of Revelations in the New Testament of the REAL Bible. Saint John emphatically warns that it is blasphemy to add anything to the scriptures. That would, in the Christian world, include the book of mormon. And racism IS codified by the book of mormon, making it nothing short of an anathema to any religion or path of Light or Love.
I will hand over to some REAL Christians here, who can explain this much better than I can.

In Case You Missed Church This Sunday
In case you missed church this Sunday....I think I will pick on Mormons again, today. Allow me to delve into my own personal experience with Mormons, which, thank the Gods, is not terribly extensive. It is only recently that I discovered that Mormons have a "Jesus" icon, which, while different from the Jesus revered by actual Christians, is enough to create some confusion among outsiders as to whether or not Mormons are Christians.
There is a middle-aged Mormon woman who lives two houses away from me. She holds a paraprofessional position at the local public school as well. When I first moved here, she was never terribly friendly or nice to me, despite the fact that our children are about the same ages, and many of them are in the same classes. In fact, she was always rather snippy and rude, preferring to gossip about me behind my back instead of returning my friendly Southern "hellos". Having had worse neighbors during the course of my lifetime, I did not pay her attitude much mind, and when her huge Golden Retriever mutt puppy dog tipped over my trash, the kids and I just picked it up. I thought that her dog's jaunt through the neighborhood despite leash laws was an isolated incident. Then, day after day, week after week, the same dog visited our garbage cans, constantly strewing garbage everywhere. Tired of it, I decided that paying Mrs. Mormon Lady a visit and asking her politely to keep her dog indoors or tether the dog would be kinder and more polite than calling Animal Control, or the Kansas equivilent of same. So I knocked on her door, and when she answered, I told her about the dog tipping over the trash. She immediately began yelling and screaming that she did not have a dog. Then I pointed out that I had seen a Golden Retriever mutt in her yard. She then screeched that the dog was never off of her leash. Then, the dog ran down the sidewalk from the north end of town, turned the corner, ran up the front steps, and sat down on her porch. The dog offered me her paw. "Is this the dog that is always on a leash?", I asked. At that point, Mrs. Mormon Lady slammed the door in my face. She has done quite a bit of backstabbing since that day. She even gathered my children, while at school, to tell them that I cursed at her during the exchange on her front porch about the dog, which is NOT true. I did not even raise my voice, let alone use foul language. So, my firsthand information about Mormons is that they are irresponsible about pet ownership, and manipulative and dishonest. It's one of the reasons I will never vote for a Mormon.
When I stop having ugly experiences with people who claim some sort of "holiness", or "betterness" than the others with whom they share this earth, and stop hearing lies from them, that's when I will start taking these individuals seriously as respectable citizens. Not until then. And that includes Bishop Mitt Romney.

In Case You Didn't Go To Church This Sunday
I thought this was appropos, in honor of the Mormon Church's recent decision to send out it's minions to our doors at even younger ages! The world has become a more annoying place. There's really only one thing connected to the word "missionary" that interests me at all, and it has nothing to do with the book of mormon!
