Pope Francis Pushes Away Survivor Of Priestly Abuse
Pope Francis obviously does not wish for the presence of actual survivors of abuse by clergy on the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. He has given the official "okey-dokey" the the dismissal of Peter Saunders, of England, and one of only two actual survivors on the panel. How incredibly interesting! It's almost as if.........drum roll........Pope Francis doesn't really want to hear the words and experience of an actual survivor when contemplating the abuses of children by priests! Imagine that!

One More Creepy Kansas Coach
What is the dealio with Kansas and public school coaches? Scott Madden, former employee of Baxter Springs High School in Cherokee County, Kansas, groomed a fifteen year old female student for sexual abuse and proceeded to sire her first child!
Larry Scott Madden
Madden was sentenced to eight years in prison. It hardly seems enough. Hopefully, his former community will ask the children some questions and figure out how all this happened in the first place. It was never a coach's job to teach a young girl about adult responsibility by transforming her into a parent.
No amount of victim-blaming or bribery will control the factors that make criminally inclined or criminally irresponsible teachers, coaches, or guidance counselors so dangerous. The roads are open for use by everyone, and the laws of physics are no respecters of persons.

Kansas Government Official Drives Drunk
Stanley Ahlerich, executive director of Council of Economic Advisers for Governor Brownback, of Kansas, was arrested for drunk driving at 3:14 on Saturday, February 6. It's as easy as pi, isn't it? He thought he would get away with it.

Life Sentence For Dallas Bond
Prior to getting caught by police, Mr. Bond had stolen handcuffs, leg irons, a radio, and some official looking shirts with logos from the Brown County, Kansas sheriff department, where he worked as a dispatcher. These items were recovered, but not until they were used while he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a child. There is a pervasive belief on the part of Kansans that this type of crime does not occur in Kansas because so much of Kansas is rural. This is error, and it is overlooking the obvious: there are few surveillance cameras, few eyewitnesses, and unreliable cell phone service in much of the "country"...or commercial farmland in Kansas. In combination with school administrations who violate the federal laws concerning child safety, "the country" in Kansas is actually very dangerous for children.
This is where another child, in Frankfort, Kansas, was abandoned by a guidance counselor. Was it done in the expectation of an encounter with someone pretending to be a police officer? Everyone involved has been advised not to talk by a local attorney.
